The location is great with a short walk to the beach. Everything was clean and comfortable. The entire staff was attentive and caring. We had a wonderful time here.

Johanna and the rest of the staff were so welcoming and friendly, they did everything they could to ensure you have a comfortable stay. The included breakfast was very very good - guests are given a menu to choose from each morning. Rooms are clean and tidy. The gardens and surrounds give the place a really relaxed vibe and make it a great place to work remotely from. WIFI is good, showers are hot, 3 minute walk to the beach. Overall great value for money. Not much more you could ask for.

Location is good and friendly staff

This is the best hotel location I could have hoped for when choosing accommodations that were not beachfront. La Buena Vida is tucked away a bit so that you feel you have some privacy here. Ayampe is not a vast town so getting to the main roads and the beach was just a lovely stroll a few blocks away. The staff at La Buena Vida is INCREDIBLE. I loved each person I interacted with. Maria is so kind and generous, Johanna is incredibly helpful and accommodating in a graceful way. I am grateful for Kate who was so welcoming, helpful, and friendly; as well as Jay who was also very friendly. There are also two resident cats who I loved having around. The room was very comfortable and the perfect size for me (could also be perfect for a couple). The fan and AC were a godsend with the heat and humid environment. WiFi worked great while I was there, I had a lot of work and schooling to get done so I appreciated this as well. Ayampe is a very laid-back town with friendly people and super yummy foods, I highly recommend visiting and having a stay at La Buena Vida. Bonus: opportunities for yoga classes just up the road, surf lessons available, amazing pastries and fresh coconuts just up the street on the way to the beach <3

the Manager was fantastic. she was very helpful with local advice. the breakfast was great. the gardens were great. it was a fantastic stay and Ayampe was excellent too. communication from the manager is excellent if any issue or question at all

the added 4% paying through a payment agency which was not listed on the advert. the option to pay cash should therefore be available or the deposit be less. or at least stated in the terms and not requested after booking. a bit naughty out of principle rather than cost as it is understandable.

Johanna the manager was amazing and so helpful. She gave us great tips for the area and also how to get from the airport easily. Everyone was very helpful and the place was clean. The breakfast was delicious and the King Kong smoothie was yuuuummmy. I also liked that they have you both bath and beach towels.

Lovely spacious room well decorated and clean.. The hotel paid attention to little details. The place was relatively busy but quiet at the same time. Kevin and Mireille will take a good care of you when needed as stay discret the rest of the time. The breakfast is great, perfect to start an active day. They are very accommodating if you have to leave early for diving or else

We can hear street noise on the deck as we are near the main road. From the room with the air condition on we can't hear anything.
