L’emplacement, le calme et la beauté des lieux
Rien. Tout était parfait à mon goût

Located by the beach, escaping the heat from Hue with fresh breeze from the sea. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The main building with the restaurant and pool has been freshly refurbished. And we enjoyed our stay but the price left a bitter taste.
The prices are not adequate for this aging property. It is more like a small hotel with a fancy pool than a beach club. The pools by the beach are long gone with only concrete left. The beach club is only a small hut by the beach. The rooms could be refurbished. We could feel the potential of the place and how it used to be. We loved the pool and the restaurant
but it is overpriced.

it’s spectacular pristine beach location with beautiful tropical grounds. The old Hue style rooms and Villas are better in real life than their photos online with outdoor shower and the most gorgeous sunrise beach view to wake up to.
Rustic beach bar with sun lounges for lunch and a sunset drink. Loved the villa’s restaurant design with their big arch windows and good food at dinner. Staff so lovely and helpful.
Didnt want to move for two days!
Pool area needs a bit of maintenance but it didn’t matter as the pool itself is so lovely.
A bit far away from Hue for site seeing. Wouldn’t stay here if wanting to be closer to other restaurants and shops.

Fabulous room. Lovely beach location.

Frogs in the room and bathroom.

Location, staff, food.
Recurrent noise (every 2 minutes) in the aircon compressor outside the room (we stayed in room 41).

The resort was very nice indeed great place to get away from the crowds and just relax very close to the beach. The only thing was a long trip to the airport and to the city
The isolation was good if you like peace and quiet, then it's worth a visit. Short visits did suit us.

Everything. The secluded setting on the beach the traditional Hue style of the house, the food is amazing both at the beach bar and the villa, and the staff is super nice.
That I have to go home…

Friendly Staff, good food, clean rooms, nice beach.
Great value for money!

Helpful staff.
The hotel is slowly falling apart, it is very neglected and not maintained. Beach pool closed and devastated.
Apparently, the hotel is aimed at a local clientele, for whom there is a public swimming pool for an entrance fee. The same applies to the beach bar, where it is difficult to find a free seat in the afternoon.

Both of the pools were wonderful. I also enjoyed the big round jacuzzi in my room- which worked perfectly. The breakfast was good, the view was also beautiful. Dinner was nice as well. The architecture itself is really beautifu.
I liked everything. I read some of the reviews before arriving, saying that the property needs "a coat of paint"... well... I would cut the property some slack. Vietnam is still recovering from strict sanctions due to COVID.

The rooms are great and very beautiful and comfy
But everything close around 8:30 pm. The drinks at the beach bar are so much cheaper than at the pool side and it is the same place.
The rooms are incredible but the evening staff is very on friendly.
It is very expensive to stay here and you may expect that they are helpful, but they are not.
Some can speak and understand English a bit, but not enough to really understand you.

+ Very good food and friendly stuff at the restaurant!
+ Beautiful pool
+ Beautiful sitting area
-This is a typical hotel which has not been looked after the past years; sunbeds were broken, no parasols near the pool, beach bar looks as if there was a big storm, not every light in the bedroom functioned… I hope they will soon start renovating.
-Bathroom and toilet have no real door, so no privacy at all.
-Hotel is far away from the city of Hue but a good place to relax for a day or two.

Good location, nice food and friendly staff, but …
The property is very rundown after years of neglect. Not just Covid years, but well beyond that. The list of issues is too long to include here, but they include a terribly unsafe deck around the pool, rising damp in our room, taps fell off the toilet basin, warped floorboards, lack of maintenance to all doors and windows, safe didn’t work, the beach bar is a rough shed at the far end of the property and the only place to get lunch sitting in wet sand, the beachside pool shown on their website hadn’t been in use for a decade or so, and the list could go on. The limited staff can only do so much and the owners should be ashamed to call this a 4 star hotel. It’s 2 at best, although the rates are up with classier resorts of a much higher quality. Some people may like the so-called rustic charm, but it’s a shame that a once stylish hotel could be neglected to this extent.

some areas need some repairs like timber flooring around the pool rather fragil in parts,
hopefully they can open Massage again soon

beautiful villas close to the beach, very helpful and friendly staff.
close-by scooter rentals would have been appreciated.

The beach was rarely full with nice beach bar/restaurant with chilled out atmosphere. The pool was in the centre of the property. It was a bit shallow for adults swimming. Really lovely dining and bar area with friendly helpful staff and delicious food.
The entrance is underwhelming so it comes as a surprise when you then walk through lovely gardens to a beautifully decorated main building. The jacuzzi in both bedrooms didn't work and the television in one room also not working but fixed quickly.

It had a really special feel to it and the location on the beach was idyllic. Perfect place to spend a day or two doing nothing by the pool. we loved the stunning old buildings with outstanding views and the staff were fantastic. We enjoyed the restaurant and the beach bar was an added bonus.
Loved the rustic feel to it however it does need a bit of love, the deck around the pool in particular.

This property is beautiful. Just a stunning construction with lots of natural materials and sympathetic design. The isolated beach location lends itself to mystery and adventure (maybe that was enhanced by the moody weather when we were there) but you really feel that you could be living in a by-gone era. The hotel does need some upkeep and the beach can be polluted on the edges but the overall vibe of this place is wonderful, as is the service. Loved it!
The location is a bit out of the way for Hue. As long as you are prepared to taxi for 20 mins each way you will be fine.

The photos on the website don't do Villa Louise justice. When you arrive and are escorted to your villa, the room you see blows you away. Also the pool area is just stunning. This is a series of indoor and outdoor pools intertwined around the bar and restaurant areas. The views from up here of the beach are mesmerising. This is possibly one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. It's a little shabby in places but oh so chic! The staff are efficient and friendly and we felt so welcome. I wish we could've stayed longer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Go on - treat yourself to Villa Louise...
If I had to find fault, I would say the rooms are a little dark and the connecting shower/bathroom floor was slippy when wet.

amazing location and sea view from the room. We had a very sunny day in December and the view and beach are just amazing. The food and drinks at the restaurant are also at very great quality and reasonable price. staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. We totally enjoyed our stay there.
The place needs a bit maintaince but it’s understandable. I’ve seen so many hotels in Vietnam closed during pandemic. just hope at some point, the hotel can fix some small facility issues and attract more guests, we’d definitely like to come back again!

location at remote beach was expected
front reception staff was exceptional
scooter rental was convenient
restaurant is fair price and good food/ service
the rooms have had no maintenance for a long time
many items broken
electric outlets overloaded and not grounded. charging laptop sent a spark and short that fortunately did not damage anything.
no hot water frequently.
my room had leaky window that wet floor
old, old towels

Great stay albeit a bit out of town. Which is NOT the hotel's fault of course. I just didn't plan or check google maps well enough. But with a taxi you're in Hue in no time. It is on the beach though, which is great and the pool is amazing. I could not believe the freshness of the croissants each morning (coming from France, we have standards ;-)
Nice boutique stay if you're after relaxation and beach life.

This is a really difficult review to write after covid and the storms because Villa Louise should be paradise, and it definitely is, based on location and setting and the accommodation and the lovely food etc, I could go on and on about its many lovely aspects. You can’t quite believe where you are when you arrive and see the sea from the windows, it truly is breathtaking. However, as they emerge from the disaster that was covid and we then realised there had been storm damage since that, we began to appreciate that this is a place just bouncing back. We couldn’t put our finger on what was missing during our stay, but I think we were just sad that it wasn’t as vibrant as perhaps it usually is when at full tilt. It was very, very quiet, almost abandoned quiet, which was absolutely perfect for relaxation but eerily quiet with the spa all gone and no music playing in the public areas. The staff in reception were really kind and gentle people who wanted the best for us but we struggled to equate the place with what we could see online and left a day early.
I need to put on record though, Villa Louise is the most incredible, stunning setting and set of buildings that could be a film set.
The beach (totally empty in late August) stretched off in both directions and has the most amazing little beach bar, a very short walk along the sand, with insane views and mind blowing food and drinks. It should be some ridiculous price but it’s not. It’s down to earth and beautiful and so so so quiet. Humble would be a good word. We were expecting shiny spa experience but we found a secret little haven perfect to hide away in Hue, a good long drive from the centre, but honestly somewhere that should be super busy. I’d love to return when people rediscover the place. The staff and the facilities deserve to be used - they are simply beautiful.
Our bungalow was like something from the Maldives. The kind of luxury we could never afford!
It was crying out for decent, lovely people to stay! And some music. We only realised once we left that chilled music might have made a difference?

Loved the setting and quiet peaceful area. Beach bar and restaurant with sheltered pools were loved by our older children. Such a lovely setting a mix of colonial and vietnamese.
For a family with a young child, the room was on the small side (which we knew). The pool was also difficult with a 1 yr old (also expected).

the hotel is unique. The restaurant has an indoor pool which looks gorgeous. The location on the beach is idyllic.
The plumbing in the bedroom was noisy and the tap dripped constantly.

this hotel is my idea of heaven : great location on a quiet beach literally no other hotels or resorts in the area. - , beautiful villa where the restaurant is housed, ( the villa is really amazing - colonial old world charm, but designed like a magazine picture) gorgeous pool, beach with beds and chairs and low key restaurant.
photos don't do the place justice.
we had a top apartment, with huge bathroom, and a private terrace, with outdoor shower.
we loved it!
the Complex is a bit run down, the aircon in the room didn't work super well ( open the windows and the sea breeze is heaven) - but for us that added to the vibe. we stayed longer than planned.
one lady at the restaurant spoke English, she was there all the time - the girls helping her were a bit useless which was funny.
the food choice is a bit limited for longer stays, and not for vegetarians, but the flavors are really good.
could have more choice at the restaurant, especially vegetables.
