Häuschen im Grünen an der Playa

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Eigenes Häuschen mit Küche/Kühlschrank. Großes Grundstück im Grünen. Frühstück wurde auf die Veranda gebracht. Nähe zum Playa Negra.

Nah am Strand gelegene ruhige Lodge inmitten eines schönen Gartens

Die Lodge ist sehr schön inmitten eines tropischen Garten und etwas außerhalb des lauten Ortes Cahuita gelegen .Die junge Besitzerfamilie, die die Lodge erst kürzlich übernommen hat, hat sich rührend um uns gekümmert. Wir hatten ein kleines Haus mit Veranda für uns allein.Das Frühstück war reichlich und sehr lecker .Die Besitzer planen eine Komplettrenovierung der etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Anlage. Direkt hinter der Straße erstreckt sich die sehr schöne einsame Playa Grande. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Costa Rica sicher wieder hier übernachten und wünschen der Familie Glück und Erfolg bei ihren Vorhaben.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt

Traumhafte Unterkunft, zwar etwas außerhalb von Cahuita Zentrum, dafür direkt am Strand Playa Grande. Die Besitzer sind super lieb und kümmern sich wirklich um alle Wünsche. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Unterkunft ist absolut sauber, wird täglich gereinigt und es gibt ein traumhaftes Frühstück auf der eigenen Terrasse. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt Mia & Gianluca, wir haben die Zeit hier wirklich sehr genossen!

Fantastisch!

Wij baalden ervan dat we hier maar één nacht geboekt hadden. Playa Grande Lodge is een hele fijne plek om te verblijven, mede dankzij Mia en Gianluca! Beide zijn zo aardig en ze willen je graag helpen met het beantwoorden van al je vragen. Het ontbijt was onwijs lekker en werd 's ochtend bij de bungalow geserveerd. Vanuit het verblijf ben je zo op het strand en het centrum van Cahuita. Het is een hele fijne en rustige plek.

Alojamiento en plena naturaleza con encanto

Bungalows en plena naturaleza. Habitaciones sencillas pero con todo lo necesario. Ventanas con mosquitera que te permite disfrutar de los sonidos de la naturaleza. Rodeada de muchos pájaros y animales. Tiene un calentador para agua caliente en la ducha (no demasiado común en los alojamientos en Costa Rica). El desayuno delicioso! Dispone de 4 opciones (2 dulces y 2 saladas) todos acompañados de zumo y fruta tropical. Los dueños son una familia súper amable y nos consiguieron leche sin lactosa para el desayuno, se agradece muchísimo. Lo mejor del alojamiento es su ubicación. Muy cerca de Cahuita (apenas 10 min en coche) pero suficientemente alejado del bullicio del pueblo. Se encuentra en una playa distinta, playa grande, una playa de arena negra paradisíaca y muy tranquila, prácticamente estás solo. La playa tiene diversos carteles informativos sobre el desove de tortugas ya que deben de frecuentar esta playa, aunque nosotros no tuvimos suerte de ver ninguna.

Beautiful surfing/jungle stay, would highly recommend

I loved this place!! First off Cahuita is beautiful and Alberto & this place only made it more beautiful. Before the stay, he coordinated with me to make sure I knew to take what buses/taxis and for what prices (even came to pick me up from the station himself!! Literally the extra mile). He pointed out all the spots on the way to the hotel, and the town is super small everything is within a 30 minute walk of the hotel. The bungaloo was massive! Had a fridge, big bathroom, big kitchen with a stove, outside patio with the cutest swing. Literally across the street from a beautiful beach. Just lovely! AND BREAKFAST WAS 12/10 they have french toast and eggs and all sorts of stuff. They put out a whole spread every morning just for you its great.

A) make sure you know what you're booking. The pictures are all of the treehouses, but you don't get that experience if you book the bungaloo its just a regular house looking thing. Still great, just make sure your expectation align with what you get. B) No AC- the fans are strong but if you are someone who needs to sleep cold that's not going to happen just beware C) wifi can be spotty on occasion, but strong enough to work on in my opinion

Pleasant ,quiet but remote . Unfortunately Alberto was struck down with Dengue fever and we never met him till the last

It was quiet and the gardens were well kept and had a lot of wildlife The breakfast was ok but I would have liked a pot of coffee rather than a cup. Playa Negra , is a really nice beach & Cahuita National Park contains an amazing variety of wildlife . If you are there on a Friday night I highly recommend the gig with free bbq dinner .

It was about 4kmfrom Cahuita town which made accessing all the facilities a rather tiresome prospect in the heat & humidity. The Lodge is rather tired / jaded and really requires a sizeable cash injection. It would have really helped if we could have been able to access PV and enable us to hire a motorcycle.

Nice secluded setting. Rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Alberto is a superb host.

Tree house treat

Our accommodation was a tree house. Set in beautiful gardens. The beach and sea were less than 200metres away.

awesome stay on the jingle

staff was wonderful. Alberto and his family were so nice and helpful. really made us feel welcome. lovely people, great breakfast. Quiet except for howler monkeys which you can watch & listen to right from the balcony of the tree house room.

the rooms needs a little TLC but great location in the jungle and steps from a cool beach.

Incredible place and hospitality! The homemade breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Facilities are nice, private and in a great location close to the beach.

This is a solid choice in Cahuita. Alberto the host is a super friendly stand up guy who comes with homemade breakfast every morning and never hesitated to help out and give good advise. He even called the airline for us to talk to them in Spanish when our bag was lost. The houses are simple but clean and cosy. We saw sloths nearby, hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden and heard the howler monkeys all the time. Close to a nice beach that is good for walks in the mornings and also a great restaurant within walking distance.

All wonderful. Very friendly and helpful owner. Nice quiet beach 50m away. It is a bit outside of Cahuita (taxi 5min / 4000 colones). Expect interesting animals in the garden. Can totally recommend this place.

Relaxing stay with great host and breakfast!

Great host, delicious breakfast and lodges are beautifully situated!

It is a 20/25 minute walk to the center of cahuita, but there is a nice restaurant nearby.

It was just perfect.

The location is amazing, the breakfast is fantastic, but to me the best part is the host . Alberto is friendly and is not afraid to the extra mile to help his customers. His help was priceless to get our lost luggage back. He also knows the area perfectly with lots of good recommendations, including the restaurant Las Olas, which is amazing.

Amazing stay with nice neighbors like Howler Monkeys, Bats, Geckos and Frogs

Sleeping in the tree house was amazing. We had luck and the local howler monkeys slept in our tree in the first night. The early wake up call was such an immersive experience - the whole tree house was. In the night it felt like we’re sleeping in the middle of the jungle without walls around. Also Alberto was very nice and the breakfast was really good. And the Bathroom was one of the best in our whole journey through CR - view into the trees inclusive. We would’ve loved to stay longer!

The Moskito net had some smaller holes which should be fixed but other than that everything was great.

A wonderful stay near the beach

Alberto and Coco the dog were amazing. Our hosts English was fantastic and he helped us with places to visit and eat! The breakfast was amazing, the best we have had all trip. Within the beautifully maintained grounds you can hear and see lots of birds and animals which makes you feel so close to nature. The free and safe parking on site was also a bonus.

Felt like if I was in the middle of the jungle. Quiet place close to town. Alberto was an incredible host, very friendly and gave us some suggestions where to go and eat, perfect! We ended up staying another night! Fantastic breakfast delivered to your front door, you could not ask for a better service. Muchas gracias por todo!

Nice place to stay front of Playa Negra

Pacha was super nice, he came to pick me up by car after the bus threw me in the middle of nowhere. The place has a beautiful garden, facing Playa Negra. There is a program open to travelers for the protection and conservation of turtles. Be careful, you have to commit yourself from 9.00 pm to 1.00 am ;) to walk at night on the beach. Ask him for information. If you don't have a car, it's a 20 min walk to the first restaurant. The breakfast on the terrace is very nice. I recommend it.

This was a perfect place to stay, we enjoyed it so much.

Alberto was a perfect host, and Playa Grande was the most pleasant and comfortable place we stayed during our travels through the country. It felt like a home away from home. We slept so well, the breakfast was always wonderful, and Alberto was so helpful in providing us with tips and information on where to go and what to do. The entire property was beautiful, and our room was so peaceful and pretty. If I ever go back to Costa Rica, I plan to stay here again.

was a unique and wonderful experience living in the tree house. we will definitely come back again in the future.

our tree house was amazing, spacious and clean. our breakfast was also very yummy. the property is 10 mins walk to the black beach which we found extremely beautiful and awesome for surfing.

the shower can be a little cold for sometime in the beginning of the shower, but after the first day we were already get used to it.
