The apt is fully equipped. Down to the kitchen towels.

The apt car park seems to have some road works that start as early as 8am. Luckily we were preparing to head out.

found it difficult to contact owner . to confirm arrival time . Not sure why .will look at my phone. Once in apatrement could use wifi.. Also no instructions on how to use tv. Didnt miss as listened to french radio,but would have watched if had.

Where do I start? the flat is in a council estate surrounded but other estates more than half an hour away from the centre. This is a studio flat advertised as something else. The only bed is separated by a curtain. The flat has to be cleaned before leaving otherwise you get charged 45 euros. We had to sign a contract and wait for inspection before leaving which was so odd given that we already had a contract with booking We received a call to be told off why we didn’t put the rubbish for collection when we took it out of the flat. I had a child that had to sleep on the sofa in a cold loving room .

The owner was accommodating, pleasant and helpful. The flat was comfortable and better equipped than many holiday homes. It was also very bright with a view of the bridge to the Île de Ré. Although it was not in centre ville (but very good for parking), we could cycle there (on cycle lanes) in 10 minutes. It was also well situated to cycle to the Île de Ré. We hired bikes and there was a room on the ground floor where we could 'park' them.

I was surprised at first to see that the apartment was in a small shopping centre surrounded by council flats. However there were never any problems. Because of this it was easy to park, convenient if we needed to do a little shopping, and it was quiet at night There was quite a lot of light from outside ( it was on the 8th floor) and it was never pitch black at night, even with the curtains drawn.
