Amazing grounds and gardens, and an absolutely banging breakfast. Check in and out was really easy. Really nice and helpful staff - family run business
1) We checked in and went up to our room, unlocked it and found that someone else was in it?! Their stuff was everywhere. The staff said that another guest had made a mistake but they had the key and the doors don’t automatically lock. Anyway, very weird. We got another room in the end.
2) Two v.large Huskies roam free around the entire place, meaning there is a lot of dog hair and detritus everywhere
3) Room was ok, very 2 star. You get what you pay for :)

scenery was nice
rooms were way to hot even with a fan, it was unbearable to sleep
7.0
Quiet location and a good sized room. Pleasant and helpful staff.
The outside and rooms could do with a spruce up, but in the current climate that's difficult to achieve easily. None of that takes away from the stay itself, which for me, was acceptable with helpful staff.

staff very friendly and helpful
breakfast was amazing
able to walk our dog in grounds
the floor in the room was very uneven
facilities a bit dated and the hotel outside looks very tired and needs a revamp so that it would be a perfect wedding location as huge function room
weeds everywhere- paint peeling etc some tlc / makeover would work wonders - go for it owners

The staff was excellent and friendly 👏 👌
Nothing comes to mind.

Breakfast was excellent with a very good menu to choose from and well presented. The bedroom area itself was fine however the scoring reflects the negative of the room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Scoring reflects a rather "tired" bathroom despite sone new tiling around the bath itself. Simple things like paint marks on the floor, a loose cover to the handbasin plumbing and some old adhesive foam on the back of the door - such a shame

I liked the location it was quiet and within easy reach of places to visit, the breakfasts were very good plenty of choice. also very friendly pleasant staff which is a big plus.
The only thing that could be improved is the decor which is looking a bit dated and general maintenance, example in all our stay no wall lights worked, a big crack in the washbasin also broken tiles underneath and floor sunken in places, also the bed frame was coming apart, one of the days also the door had not been locked after cleaning… But overall these things would not stop us staying their again.

Comfy and quite room, nice garden, close to Stonehenge.
Breakfast could be a bit better with fresh fruits and vegs, especially for kids.
Maybe honey instead of jams.
Main item was pork for breakfast which we dont use it
But not such a big problem anyway.

Comfortable room, bed. Lovely in-house restaurant. Appreciate the buffet breakfast. Love the in-house dogs too. Staff are very helpful.
Need to climb stairs.

Nice big desk in large bedroom to work from.
Good wifi and ample parking.
Good location for Andover and Salisbury area.
Although it was clean, there was quite a bit of dust that appeared when the curtains were pulled. Hot Breakfast buffet was very disappointing, all overcooked and appeared to have been sat on the hot plate for hours, though bread was fresh and conserves plentiful.

Location.
Breakfast is only served between 6am and 8am and, curiously, this is not highlighted prior to booking! No mattress protector so only the bottom sheet between you and previous occupier's DNA! Old mattress, very tatty-looking furniture everywhere, no one available at check-out and took some time to find someone to check-in. No glasses or bottle of water in the room; carpet could do with a steam-cleaning; heating was not on; stains on bed covers; nowhere to hand towels in bathroom. Maintenance could do a spruce up.

Great welcome ar reception, very very helpful regarding local area, options for food locally and in the hotel.
Offered takeaway breakfast, as not having breakfast in hotel.
Menu for evening meals very restrictive. Only vegan, not vegetarian choices.

Breakfast was good, plenty of cooked breakfast to eat plus cereals and toast with various spreads, jam & marmalade.
The staff were amazing and could not do enough to ensure our stay was as good as it could be. Could the hotel do with a bit of investment? Yes. Would I return for the service - including being really kind to my dog? Definitely.
There was a problem or two with the shower, which was attended to immediately by Lex. He was fabulous and never seemed to stop working!

The staff were really lovely and friendly, plenty of parking, and the breakfast was a tasty buffet. Very dog friendly as we had our dog with us. Easy to find and a lovely area to stay.
Good price and the bar drinks were reasonably priced. Great wedding/party venue lots of outside spaces.
Mainly a wedding venue, and there had been a big do the night before. We arrived an hour or so after check in and stuff was all over the place. Our room had not been cleaned properly which was a shame as such a friendly hotel but the bed sheets were clean at least. A lot of wooden floors even in the bedroom which for us with a dog was a bit of an issue and the flooring was badly laid in the room which didn't help.
Such a shame as this could be an amazing hotel with some TLC and better cleaning.

Accommodated dogs.
Had good amenities on the ground. Kids play area and lots of green for the dogs to have a little explore.
The carpet in the room and the hallway was a little dated.
Cheeky spider left his Web in the bathroom.

Breakfast was plentiful and a full English was offered even though the site noted it was a continental breakfast, that was a bonus!
Nice buildings but a little bit shabby. Main reception area could do with a refresh. bedroom comfortable but a little run down.

Really welcoming, genuinely dog friendly! Excellent breakfast with good options available. Everything I needed for a welcome overnight stop in my journey.
Good areas for exercising my dogs.
Nothing.

location was ideal
shabby hotel with a lack of customer care
7.0
it’s location suited me as the ideal place to break my journey
Breakfast was a bit dried up from being kept under heat lamps

floor was very dirty and the room needed investment. the bathroom whilst clean (ish) there were hairs all over the floor and side and in the bath that were not mine.
when I tried to check in no staff came to attend me for over 20 mins
when staff did arrive they were unprofessional and called the place “Fawlty Towers”
my room was double booked and due to a technical issue by booking.com
the morning staff were brilliant but this is a property in dire need of renovation and investment
additional to that other residents had dogs in their rooms
that were barking for the best part of an hour at night
