if it wasn’t for the noise it could have been a lovely stay. so much for peace & tranquility in Ubud.

Noise from building site behind us. Workers were just the other side of the fence from us. some type of meeting place for lots of people just beside that. Music, singing &conversations. even our next door family had music going.

Had the best stay for our honeymoon

The hospitality and the customer service from the staff was amazing, me and my husband really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again if we went to Bali. Cleanliness is a big thing for me and this place was defo kept very clean and maintained. Very happy with this stay, highly recommend!

This is personal preference and may not matter to many people but the bathroom area is partially outside with no doors, I did get used to it after the first day or two and there were no insects/animals coming in so it was all good and I guess it’s all a part of the experience. My husband loved it, I was just scared about creepy crawl’s coming in but like I said it was fine.

Beautiful and relaxing, with helpful staff to make your stay great!

The private pool, shower and outside area were a perfect place to pass the hot days. The bedroom had AC and a mosquito net in case we needed it. The food was great, and had a large variety of choices. The location is quite and you can even walk around the neighborhood and see some rice patties. The hotel had a convenient shuttle into the city with a schedule, but also could arrange transport for you. The staff were very friendly and helpful in giving us tips and arranging last minute hikes for us. Yannik was very helpful in the front desk. But everyone helped make our vacation great. Thank you!!

الموظفين جدا بشوشين و مهتمين في جميع التفاصيل يرحبون بك اثناء الدخول والخروج و يقترحون لك كل الأشياء الجميله و مهتمين بجميع التفاصيل الفيلا جميله جدا السرير جدا مريح بحكم طبيعة المكان توقع بعض الحشرات و الزواحف ك الوزغ و الباعوض المكان بعيد بعض الشيء عن وسط اوبود فلا يوجد ازعاج درجات او سيارات

القهوه اتمنى يتم تحسينها صيانة بعض مرافق الفيلا مثل كراسي التشميس تحتاج إلى الاهتمام و النظافة و العناية بالأشجار في الفناء و حول المسبح و ايضا مناشف الاستحمام الخاصه بالمسبح لابد من الاهتمام بها

Cozy Villa with excellent service and super friendly staffs, we would like to come back again

We like their breakfast because they provide fresh fruit juice, coffee and tea, both local and continental breakfast available, thus fit for very family members. We enjoyed the pool in our villa, and stay inside as long as we wish. The room is cozy, comfortable, AC is cool. Their bathroom is big, both shower and bath tub available. Their staffs are very friendly. we also used their free transport between the resort and Ubud (near Monkey forest)

Although I really appreciated the convenience to have the massage in my bedroom. But the quality is worse than the common massage services available in Ubud center. I shared my feedback to resort staff on my second day stay because I was feeling a little hurt in my left shoulder muscles , I think it's due to the massage time and intensity distributed on both sides of the my body were uneven. More than 50% of the time, the masseur simply used the palm of her hand to apply massage oil back and forth on the body without applying finger pressure to the acupuncture points and deep muscles. Although hotel staff took my feedback and gave me 20% discount after all. But I don't think I will try it again.

Best hotel stay in Bali, pick a private villa!

Private pool with villa was fantastic to come back to each day. Staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Had additional service and tours with Noru and Yannik, who were great at their jobs. Augus up front was great at arranging anything one wanted.

It's a little bit out of the center of Ubud, 5-10 min taxi or shuttle or half hour walk. There are pros to that as well, as much quieter than in the center comes with that.

I loved staying here, its even better than the pictures

I stayed 4 days and honestly, could have stayed for a lot longer, felt completely at home!! The staff was incredible and so were the villas!! We had a cooking class which was exceptional!! :) Thank you for the amazing time.

There was a mixup in the booking from the hotels part, but the staff a the hotel were incredibly helpful and more than compensated for the issue. Thank you for making my holidays amazing

Very friendly and relaxing

The staff were especially friendly and attentive. Yannik in particular went above and beyond. The room and private pool area feel very private and it feels as if you have your own area whilst also having the convenience of attentive hotel staff

This was a bit further from Ubud centre than we thought and there is not too much around in the immediate area. However, Purana do offer free and easy daily shuttle services and it would be very easy to move around by moped.

Wonderful Villa with super nice Pool. Comfy beds. Nice bathrooms. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good transfer to city provided. Good food. Very recommendable!

Location is rather remote. No gym. No spa.

Amazing staff in a value for money property

The best think about Purana was the staff. So friendly & welcoming. We traveled with our 3 year old daughter & everyone was amazing with her.

The restaurant location was overlooking the parking lot. Unfortunately, for the hotel there were no rice paddy views: the garden was very nice but no amazing long views due to its location on the road

Quiet, secluded stay with lovely staff

Beautiful gardens and very welcoming staff. I shared the pool with 4 other rooms but I never saw anyone else so it felt like a private pool. Very quiet location and a couple of lovely quiet restaurants nearby.

This place is probably 1.5km to the main town and 1km to cafe strip - the hotel shuttle is infrequent and not particularly convenient so consider your transport options with this hotel, make sure you have a good taxi or Scooter.

Special thanks to Yannik and August for making our stay so special and being best guide on our day trip, staff couldn’t do more for you and you felt very looked after - 5* experience. Also best food and breakfast we’ve had in Indonesia. Very special place and can’t wait to go back one day.

Amazing attention to detail and lots of personalised touches. Special thank you for the kids presents, very much appreciated. All staff were outstanding and we could not have expected anymore. Breakfast in the outdoor area was a special touch also. Location was good for our family, quiet and most important felt safe and secure. Cleanliness was 10/10. Would 100% recommend for families but would be ideal for couples/solo travellers also. Arya helped us a lot with planning and trips and was good with all the kids, as were all staff. A big thank you to the team at Purana, from the Duncan’s 👍

Resort was a quiet haven outside of Ubud but with regular free shuttle to Ubud. Villa with private pool gave total privacy.

Some noise from neighbouring villas due to people partying late - but they're on holiday and no fault of the resort!

Nice and helpful staff. Very nice private Villa with private pool. Breakfast daily on the villas terrace. The location is good (Get the app Gojek - kinda like uber to get araound very cheap)

The european breakfast choices werent as good. (Go for the indonesian ones instead). But overall the breakfast didn’t hit it out of the park. Due to the location in the jungle there are some critters (But the Hotel staff is very quick to help relocate them should you cross path with them).

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff

Situated about 20 minutes walk from the centre. There is a 2 hourly complimentary shuttle service into town. Our 2 bedroom villa was enormous, perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Great choice of breakfast brought to your villa every morning, presented beautifully. Having the Dosa option is a must.The staff are so polite and helpful. It was them that made our stay here very special.

Jungle Bliss

This is the most beautiful villa I've stayed in. Delicious breakfast every morning bought to our villa. The staff are so wonderful and go out of their way to help. The villa pool was lovely and over looked the jungle. They had a shuttle service that took us in an out of the main area in Ubud. It was quiet, peaceful and incredibly relaxing. Thanks to all the amazing staff for making us feel so welcome. We will be back next year. Very Impressed.

would highly recommend!!

Purana is a little haven, nestled within the Ubud Forrests. The room was huge, the aircon was strong, the staff were unforgettably amazing, the food was so tasty, 10/10 couldn’t recommend it higher. The Prices were also so extremely reasonable, can’t wait to be back, poolside at this place very soon. The only negative would be the location is a bit further out from Ubud town than we thought, but it actually was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle for a bit. Thank you again Purana! Positives: Basically everything. The room and bed was massive, the food was incredible, the service was just delightful with staff always ready, available and happy to help our with anything you need. As a vegan and Gluten Free couple, they still accommodated all our needs with a smile.

A bit far from the city - the only road into town always had terrible, stand still traffic. Also the free shuttle only took you into local grocery store - not really to anywhere notable you’d want to go.

Great to be 'home' again at Purana.

Everything. Stayed 4 nights at the end of September. This was our second visit. We had booked for 2020 but obviously due to the pandemic our holiday couldn't happen so we were thrilled to finally come back! The standard of accommodation is great, the free shuttle service very useful and the staff can't to enough for you. The bedtime stories are a lovely touch.
