Overnight stay

Closeness to the train station. Easy transport connection to the hotel. The guy that checked us in was nice and friendly. We enjoyed the cookies as well The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

We were asked to pay €5,50 Touristen fee instead of 4.00 stated on the site. They also collected €25.00 from us because we arrived late. We were communicating the whole time wirh them about the delay in our journey which made our arrival time extended beyond what we thought. We also did not see the late arrival fees on their site but it was stated that we should communicate with the prooerty for an arrangement in case of late arrival and that was what we did. The staff that collected the money from us was rude. Television was listed as part of the Fachliteratur in the room but we found no Television in our room.

Ein toller Aufenthalt - wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in zentraler Lage. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Das Frühstück im Café Milk and Cookies war ausgezeichnet!

Unser einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag: Es wäre toll, wenn es im Zimmer statt den zusammengeschobenen Einzelbetten ein großes Bett geben würde!

Viel erg tegen maar dat kwam met name door chagrijnige eigenaresse en smoezelige kamer

Op de kamer staan bordjes, bestek, thee en koffie. Badkamer is prima en lekkere douche.

Het ontbijt zit niet bij de prijs inbegrepen. Dus waarom heet het dan een bed and breakfast. Na het boeken krijg je een zeer onvriendelijk mal waaruit blijkt dat bij inchecken na 18.00 uur je een toeslag moet betalen en parkeren wel kan maar tegen betaling, Zet dat dan duidelijk bij de voorzieningen voordat je boekt dan weet je waar je aan toe bent. Wij kwamen na 18.00 uur en moesten de toeslag betalen. De toeslag zou zijn omdat er iemand speciaal voor moest komen. De eigenaresse zat gewoon gezellig aan een tafel met een kennis en hoefde dus helemaal niet speciaal te komen. Dit was allemaal heel gebruikelijk volgens haar. Ik heb het niet eerder meegemaakt en het was duidelijk dat ze niet tegen kritiek kon. Er zaten vlekken in het beddengoed en kussens en de rolgordijnen vielen van ellende uit elkaar. Al met al smoezelig en onverzorgd. De eigenaresse kon het niet opbrengen o gewoon vriendelijk te zijn en wist überhaupt niet voor hoelang we hadden geboekt. Als het nou een groot hotel was met veel kamers, okay, dan begrijp ik het. Maar met 4 kamers. Al met al weinig gemerkt van gastvrijheid wat hoort bij een kleinschalige accommodatie. Geen aanrader en kom er nooit meer terug.

Zentrumsnah. Gutes Frühstück, jedoch extra Zahlung.

Keine Heizung bei -4 Grad Aussentemperatur. Kein Vergnügen. Hellhörig. Steile Treppe. Kein Fernsehen.

Toller Aufenthalt im Herzen von Venlo! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Die Lage ist perfekt: mitten in der Fußgängerzone und mit vielfältigen Kneipen und Restaurants direkt vor der Tür. Das eigene Café ist sehr modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Speisekarte ist top und der Kaffee super lecker. Wir haben einfach so ein Upgrade bekommen, da ein besseres Zimmer frei war: Danke!!

Da das Gebäude sehr alt ist, ist die letzte Treppe super steil, aber man schafft es und das sehr freundliche Personal hat Hilfe beim tragen der Koffer angeboten. Bei Temperaturen um die 0 Grad ist das Zimmer und vor allem das Bad nicht super kuschelig warm, aber es reicht. Das Personal musste durch unser Zimmer, um an die Bettbezüge etc. für alle Zimmer zu kommen. War in unserem Fall nicht schlimm, ich war mit meiner Tochter dort.

Für eine Nacht und Shopping in Venlo absolut perfekt!

Sehr zentral, süßes Café unten, Zimmer darüber, dort bekommt man Frühstück, Kaffee oder Kuchen und sehr gemütlich, typisch Holland eben! Parkhaus Q-Park Arsenaal 2 Minuten entfernt für 24 std 14,60€ kann man über die Unterkunft mieten oder vor Ort wenn frei. In Zimmer 2 hatten wir kein Bad im Zimmer, aber ein eigenes Badezimmer war über den Flur zu erreichen. Die Treppe aus dem Café hoch zu den Zimmern ist schon steil, aber die nächste Etage ist eher eine Leiter. Schön und gemütlich ist es trotzdem und die Betten sind sehr bequem und alles ist hübsch und herzlich eingerichtet!

Etwas hellhörig, die Zimmertüren sind aus sehr altem Holz und sehr urig, was wiederum Charme hat.

Er is veel chloor gebuikt bij het reinigen vd badkamer. Het is redelijk gehorig.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Venlo!

Kaffee, Tee, Wasserkocher, Besteck etc. vorhanden. Super Lage! Gemütliches, helles Zimmer.

Zwei zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten. Leider recht hellhörig.

Very little

The accommodation access was through the cafe at all hours. The stairs were incredibly steep and dangerous. The rooms were poor little comfort hot and with people taking drugs beneath the window so unable to open. The private bathroom was across the very noisy hall alongside the dangerous stairs and had no outside lock so wasn't private and other guests used it to go to the toilet. The handle was off on the inside which made it difficult to shut. This is advertised as a bed and breakfast but isn't.. It's a room and if you want breakfast you pay extra £15 each extra. The breakfast may have been lovely but I expected it in the price especially considering the poor quality room, and the cost of it.

Terrible

Be careful to book this property since their check-in time is until 6:00 pm, there will be extra charge with late check in, and there is no remind about late arrival with email or calling, I missed the time, and can not check in.

Terrible experience, since there was no one reply the calling, and no remind of any solution with late arrival, there is nothing I can do since the train was delayed then cancelled, and I arrive before midnight.

A lot of cafes, restaurants, shops nearby, closest supermarket is about 10 minutes away by foot. Staff was nice and helpful. Complementary cookies.

Ventilation fans of cafe are quite loud at night and located right near the window.

breakfast was really good, the restaurant is very nice, the room itself has good comfort and was very clean

there was an air conditioner right next to the window of my room. also there was a warm water pipe going through my room that was badly isolated. It was too warm during the night but opening the window let the strong noise in from the air conditioner. Sleep wasn't good. I had to pay 15€ late check-in fee at 19.30 CET, allthough i got in late only because of train delay which was not my fault. This felt bad.

Delicious breakfast

Breakfast was fantastic and great value for money. Cafe below was very charming and cosy. Room had everything we needed, including fresh coffee and cookies. Beds were comfy. Super sweet to provide ear plugs - we were surprised at the loud party atmosphere in Venlo during the weekend!

There was an automatic air freshener spray in the bathroom that sprayed regularly, so we could hear the sprays even with the bathroom door closed - very annoying for light sleepers! Some simple decoration/furnishing changes could improve the room a lot.

Nice cosy stay, close to trains station with a must have breakfast.

Little cousy place at the centrum of Old Velno. The employees were very responsive and welcoming, nice. Definitely have breakfast here! Very cute and tasty. We felt like we were visiting friends.

Wondering why was the toilet bowl so high that it required steps.

Central position, few minutes walking from central station, amazing staff available for help, comfortable bed and silent room, awesome breakfast. Very good value for the money

Nice place for a short stay and for going out in Venlo.

Nice Appartment in the center near lots of bars and restaurants.

As we arrived the staff appeared a bit stressed and rushed as it was about closing time. We said in advance we arrive with bikes but then they didnt know at first where to put them. But they then could offer to put them inside via the emergency exit which was nice and helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff, super location, comfortable beds, very delicious breakfast ,big bathroom. The stay was very good. it will be a pleasure to return to the same hotel!

Cosy stay, with delicious breakfast and staff who smiled all the time.

The beds and spacious bathroom were very comfortable. Breakfast was extremely good.

It was a little challenging to have 2 sets of steep stairs to climb after a long drive.

Nice and easy in the city centre

The room is perfectly located, directly in the city center and a few minutes from the main station. The room was tidy, spacious and well equipped.

The Check-In is only possible till 6pm which I did not see before booking. With our train we would have arrived at the place at 5min after 6pm and would have needed to pay additional 15€ which I found a bit weird. I then changed and arrived before my friend just to see that everyone was still there at 6:30pm anyhow...no big deal overall and I would still come back but it didn't feel very service-oriented.
