Casa do Mirante is the place for quality time for 2.

The hike uphill is the price to pay for the views....downstairs is like a tiny house (Casa do Mirante) but nonethelesd cosy and practical.

We stayed with the family. The area was really nice and calm, especially the pool. Each day we had a room cleaning service, although I don't think it is needed for every day. The house looks better in the pictures, it needs to be refurbished. The beach is 25 minutes drive with the car.

There is no air condition in the house, although the description says it is. They have only air fans. It is totally misleading information, I wouldn't consider staying at this property without the air conditioning. It was 37 degrees outside during our stay. The communication with the property managers is very poor. There was no information about how to enter the property. We waited outside at the gates for 1h, with no response.

This place comes close to perfection for us. An old house remodeled into a comfortable holiday house with a super nice kitchen, large bedrooms and spacious outside areas to relax. An amazing large and spacious place with a super nice terrace and everything we needed to have a very relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Although it was not really a problem for us, the drive up to the house was on a very small road between the trees with some tricky curves to take. With our reasonably big car (Volvo XC60) we had no issues driving up and down , but we can imagine that some people might be a bit stressed about this. Probably there is an alternative in that case, the man who received us was super friendly and helpful. The swimming lake is beautiful, but quite shallow and the floor at times a bit rough. It's the perfect place for calm relaxing in that 'lake', but better to know that children will not be able to play too much because they might get hurt if touching the floor a bit harder.

A stunning house of stone walls and wood floors with a very nice outdoor area in the middle of a forrest. It comes equiped with all the necessary appliances to cook and do laundry. The house is cleaned everyday and always looks spotless! You find fresh bread every morning at your door and on the first day we found delicious things to prepare breakfast. The pool is not deep with makes it perfect for children. I would recommend this place a 100%.

Top villa with the pool is awesome, however, other 2 villas that were rented by our family and a friends family, were some distance away from it. Not a biggie, just this wasn’t very clear from the description- we thought that all three villas were more or less on the same plot of land, sharing a pool. In fact, all three villas were on a hill slope and only the third- the smallest one - was at the top near a pool. Pool is spacious and very unique, although an additional 20-30 cm of the depth would be welcome. Food supplies were like a clockwork: fresh bread and oranges were very good. Perhaps, more discussions with the managers of the property would have yielded better and more varied breakfast choices. Unfortunately, a language barrier was quite noticeable and, in our opinion, could have been mitigated by a detailed “Guest book” with the instructions, options, choices described in detail for the international visitors. This lace has a lot to offer for the holidaymakers- getting all the possibilities across would help immensely!

Cooking utensils were very basic, not at all matching spaciousness of he kitchens. We struggled to make a fish stew for 9 persons. Daily cleaning wasn’t at all necessary in our opinion and in fact interferes with the relaxed holiday atmosphere in the house, particularly during the rainy days (which we had a lot, unfortunately).

Swimmingpool is really beautifull, BUT far too shallow and the Floor of the pool rough with Sharp edges.
