Decent sized lodge, cheap and cheerful. Reasonable price for the night. Generally, nice stay for one night and comfy bed.
Finding and accessing the property was difficult at night and had to go through the bushes.
Ceiling was abit low for a 6ft+ person.
WIFI did not work at all.

Great location 👌
No problem to report

Loved the cute little cottage style, very cozy and comfortable. One room is bigger than the other, but the living room and the size of the tele makes up for it. Got quite chilly thru the night, but if you stay under the covers, you will be fine. Across from tescos/sainsubrys so easy to make your own meals. Will def stay again
That it got that cold, but i think my colleague may to be to blame over that, he has no clue how to work the temperature controls for a canadian lol

Everything. The lodge was amazing.
So spacious and everything you need in one place. We came in to a fridge full of essentials, tea coffee and cakes! Attention to detail was just amazing.
We were welcomed and shown about straightaway but left to our own devices. We were offered a food service, the owners sons pub. Food was delicious, proper pub grub but posh. The homemade coleslaw was yum!
We even were given free cake as guests!
There is nothing negative to say about the stay.
That we couldn't spend more time there.

There were several issues with the accommodation. Firstly, the pictures depict a quaint cottage in a lovely garden when in actual fact it's right next to a busy main road with a view of a Tesco superstore. You can hear the traffic right inside the chalet. Secondly, you have to pay a £100 cash security deposit, which was slightly ironic given that several things were broken including the kettle and blind in the single bedroom. The shower boasted two shower heads with very little power and you couldn't switch between either shower head as water came out of both. Also, the water didn't drain properly from the shower. The level of cleanliness wasn't adequate in areas of the chalet, including the bathroom, where a rusty nail was just left in the cup holder as well crumbs of food left in the freezer from previous guests. Also, the owner had left coffee sachets in the kitchen that were two years out of date. Overall, the cottage requires a lot of attention and is far too overpriced for what you get.

Although Redruth itself isn't the most exciting of towns it is conveniently located for the main other towns, beaches & attractions. Falmouth is 20 minutes drive and it has good access to the A30. At the time of booking there wasn't a lot of affordable accommodation available & compared to a lot of other places the price was more reasonable bearing in mind everywhere in Cornwall has hiked up their prices. We only booked three nights as my daughter is going to Penryn University in the Autumn and we wanted to get a feel of the area.
Whilst the accommodation was clean and had the facilities stated it did lack a bit of attention to detail that would have elevated it to a 'Very Good' property. The bed linen and towels had seen better days and the beds & settee were particularly uncomfortable. Although we knew the beds would be on the small side my wife actually rolled out of the 'double' bed onto the floor one night! My adult daughter is only 5ft and just managed to fit into the second single bed and I could only manage about an hour sat on the bed settee before my backside started to hurt. This is a shame as this property could be a nice quirky stay if it had a bit of investment in its furnishings. Also as the owner has pointed out the driveway to the property is narrow and we had to be careful accessing it with a Nissan Note.

The location was good 👍. The accommodation wasn’t ready when we arrived just before 6pm, so we went somewhere to eat then came back after 8pm. Thankfully all was ready then. Over all it was ok.
The small mattress in the single room wasn’t comfortable to sleep on. There was no proper mattress cover on the fold-up bed , only a quilt and a pillow was provided.

The cottage sleeping areas were very uncomfortable, the single bed mattress was only about two to three inches thick not very comfortable at all. The double bed was better but still uncomfortable. The sofa bed was very very uncomfortable. The door into the cottage was not a tight fit so there was a gap at the top to let in the cold, but the weather was warm so it was fine. The owner said not to open one of the windows as it would fall out. The shower looks good but when using it it's not very powerful. Too close to a busy main road so very noisy. The parking is not good as very tight to go up and down. It does need a very urgent makeover. The ceiling has not even been plastered.

Close to Tesco for food shopping. Shower room ok and living area ok. Owner approachable and tried to resolve problems as they arose.
Tired. Needed renovating particularly outside. Oven not working properly. WiFi not working initially then tv. No instructions for heating or cooker. Extractor didn’t work. Not a door shut properly and main door and windows (wooden) looked flimsy so didn’t feel secure.
7.0
The privacy by the lodge/chalet being as far as practically possible. There is a Tesco store in short walking distance, which was helpful with this being self-catering.
The bedding covers were a tad old fashioned - ought to be replaced.

I would not advice even my worse enemy to stay in this accommodation.the lady was extremely insensitive. The house and its surroundings had a pungent smell, the heater wasn't working at all. If you love inconvenience then go ahead and book at your own risk.

Very close to large Tesco supermarket. Easy walk to town centre and station. Surrounding area is very interesting.
Accommodation was entirely adequate, but we expected a bit more for the money. The requirement to provide a £100 cash deposit is unusual, and gives a negative impression, especially in these cash-free times.

I thought the owners were quite rude not to come and greet us at all through the stay.
The lodge was great and we had no issues.
Also we left some things there by accident but they never contacted us to arrange to send back
Very weird

Leaving.
There was no Wi-Fi - contrary to advertisement.
Cleaning was not up standard.
Shower was lacking in water pressure and not very clean.
The heating was not working. It had been inexplicably switched off. We had to telephone for someone to come out and reinstate it - in the absence of any clear instructions.

Great little Chalet. Very clean. Everything you needed was provided from Towels, Bedding, Kitchen Utensils. Only stayed for one night whilst dropping my son of at Uni but great value for money. Parking was a bit tight as is the driveway upto the House. Tesco across the road to do your shopping. Will use it again if availlable when I am picking up my son.
