Quirky, cosy, comfortable, friendly, great shower, lovely toiletries, very good mini bar, fresh milk in the fridge, comfortable bed. We would definitely stay again.

From the moment we arrived, everything went perfectly. Friendly staff eager to make us feel welcome. The room and
breakfasts were excellent. Wonderful hotel in every aspect.
No complaints at all.

Beautifully appointed - staff couldn’t be more helpful, ideal location for a family wedding, just round the corner. Lovely breakfast. Beautiful bathroom and lots of lovely touches like a bottle of Prosecco for the bride and groom.
TV in room not working, but not a worry for us.

The staff were very friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble Our room was just right. It was airconditioned. A decent size with a nice big comfortable bed and pillows. There was a safe in the wardrobe. The bathroom, again, a nice size with plenty of space with a big walk in shower.. There are top of the range 'Bramley' shower gel, shampoo and moisturizer, and 2 dressing gowns supplied, There is a fridge with tea, coffee free bottled water and two Tunnock cakes. There is, for a charge. beer, wine and chocolates. The room is very quiet at night. The car park is a very good size and is secure with an electronic gate to the left of the hotel, which is accessed via an intercom,
The buffet breakfast was OK, But wasn't very organized. With all the items spread over the bar. The toaster was on its last legs. It took an age to toast the bread. I think if more than two people was waiting for toast I wouldn't bother. There was not enough space on the top where the toaster was placed, what with the bread, and the butter, jam, marmalade in separate dishes taking up all the space. It is a nice hotel. I hope my review doesn't people off. It is worth a try.

Everything about the room was amazing. The bed, tub, shower, decor… I loved it all. The location was great too. Perfect if you’re getting on a cruise.
Quite a few fruit flies in the restaurant.

room, breakfast, supper, lunch and car parking.
The "snug" room at the top of the house has a very steep final access staircase. It would not be suitable for the very elderly, frail or disabled though at the moment the Pig's website doesn't mention this but having spoken to them about the final staircase they going to look at changing their website to advise about this.

Good bathroom, nice staff and good breakfasts
The room description as superior. Our room (no 9) was well appointed but too small for the king-size double bed leaving us with about two feet of space around the three sides and no chest of drawers in which to unpack our suit cases. Some of the tables in the dining room were too low at about knee height.

Can't fault this hotel, this was up there with the best hotel we've stayed in. Everything from start to finish was just incredible! And you have to get the Piggy Pan breakfast!

Cosy hotel, great location, ample safe parking
Plenty larder options but all with a charge. would have been nice to have complimentary biscuits. Smell of some of the continental breakfast buffet items were pretty strong for first thing in the morning

Great old building, the public areas were very cozy and comfortable, warm and friendly. Bedroom great, stairs a little scary but it is the UK.

We LOVE this place! In fact, it actually factored into our planning a second cruise out of Southampton. Staff is exceptional. Special kudos to "Sasha." He was personable and knowledgable. Great atmosphere. We had a "snug room" this time (Room #12). Super cute, but be aware - snug means small! But still all the amenities. There are steep stairs to reach it, Sasha helped us carry our bags. The ceiling slopes in the room, so you have to be aware of that factor. If you have mobility issues, ask for the first floor. Very clean & great bed! We've had breakfast & dinner there, again great. Try the mackerel dip as appetizer. Yum! Super convenient to cruise port. We took train down from London. It was a bit confusing to find on our first visit, but easy to walk. Just follow maps down to the port. ("Easy walk" comment is assuming no mobility issues). It's built into the old city wall, but fortunately has a white front which makes it easier to spot. As reference on mobility - we are 59 & 66. Husband has had one knee replaced, but we're both active pickleball players :-)
I've also attached photos of room from our visit in Sept. 2019 (Room #1).
These folks really put attention into the details, including the large wooden keys.
Fun pub very close by called "The Dancing Man" for beer lovers!
