It started with a £100 fine for parking in the hotel car park while I unloaded my luggage.
The bed was very close to the floor despite staying in a disability room.

Gorgeous hotel meal in the evening was lovely staff were amazing especially the bar/restaurant sky bar is beautiful with amazing cocktails and fabulous staff
The holding deposit of £50 on your room never had to do that before
The annoying waiter at breakfast that kept circling our table taking items as soon you had finished when other people were still eating
Parking £12 overnight when all the car parks around were £4.50 we paid £12 as car park was secure as we didn’t really know the area

The breakfast buffet was incredible with an amazing selection, food room service was also impeccable. The bed was so very comfy and the location was great and central. This visit was so see my sick father in hospital so it made for a very pleasant stay during this difficult time 😊

The staff were always helpful and cheerful.
The rooms are spotless, quiet and beds comfortable.
The hotel is in a great location.
The buffet breakfast was beautifully set out with lots of choices and good value.
The rooftop bar is lovely with excellent service and great views of the city.
We will definitely be back!
The only thing I didn't like was there was no small fridge in the room, but the staff were happy to bring us an ice bucket.

Friendly , clean good location
Breakfast wasn’t the best but edible lots of choice it’s just the cooked part that I didn’t like
7.0
Proximity, cleanliness and staff quality
The fact that there were no mini bars, I expected the hotel to provide at least 2 complementary bottles of water per day for a guest regardless of their “Hilton honour” status. This is water, not soda or wine.

Staff were brilliant!
Parking charges on top of the room which was overpriced.

Poor amenities.
Extremely uncomfortable sofa bed in Junior Suite. Sofa bed mattress so thin you could feel the metal against your body.
No minibar and no ice.
Breakfast modest at best for a 4 star hotel.

The breakfast hall had a lovely ambience and quality food was served! The option of additional omelette was also a good one.
The room and bathroom/toilet was quite spacious which is something I appreciate!
The gym facility was nice 👌

Went to a family wedding. Lovely, welcoming staff, great place & all went exceptionally well. It was an amazing day & perfect at this Hilton. Best one ever been in.
The shower screen seemed a bit short & no matter how you tried water went onto the floor
Only thing after a perfect stay.

nice decor - luxury feel for a good price
staff need to sort out their attitude. was standing in the queue with my sister then a gentleman came to join the queue. was obvious we were there first but when another staff member hopped on the desk to serve he completely ignored us and served the gentleman. not sure if this is a racial thing or because we weren’t dressed a certain way but they need to learn to treat all their guests the same because guess what…we’re all paying money to be here

The bar,the ambience,the cookies,the room…the view…
1 , The marathon walk from the car park to reception, the marathon walk from reception to room 301…(.this is a disability booking..) typical faulty towers treatment..i think it’s a boot camp for invalids .brilliant design..the Architect deserves an Oscar..
2 ,The details on booking.com not relating to doubletree reality…( no fridge no cooker no dining facility)
Being told i should address booking.com about the problem..
3 ,Shower framework in room 301,never been cleaned..
4 , Shower water pressure inadequate…
5 ,£12 a night for car parking is terrible value ,i think that’s Doubletrees guilty secret..
6 ,the parking mobile phone app is really badly designed its a nightmare to use..

The price of the "rooftop" bar...

Staff was very nice friendly and attentive
Booked the Hilton purely because it advertised a bath in the rooms. On arrival there was no bath only a large shower. Seems petty but I paid £30 more than any other hotel in the area as this was the selling point for me. The Lexington sky bar was closed for the full evening also

The hotel is in a central location. The staff were pleasant, helpful and polite on arrival. As we were presented with this gooey chocolate cookie each. That cookie, may I add, was spectacular. We walked to our room, opened the door to see a spacious, floor to ceiling windows, nicely turned out bedroom. The bed was soft, lighting was good and TV worked with no problems. Bathroom was equally well designed. We went downstairs and had a delicious meal at Marco Pierre White. We weren't able to go to the roof terrace as there was a private party, maybe next time. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we will be back!
Not enough cookies.

Staff were v helpful and polite
More tea bags n milk in the room. More channels on TV. Some tourist info about local attractions in and around the city would be nice for out of town guests in the rooms.

The hotel has private, secure parking which is a definite bonus.
The staff - right from checking in, to checking out were all lovely. Friendly and efficient.
It was my first stay in a Doubletree - the 'warm welcome' cookies were a winner with my daughter.
We asked for directions to Hull New Theatre. A member of staff tried to show me on his phone - when he realised we didn't know Hull at all, he took us out onto the street to show us. When we realised it was a bit further than we thought, he brought us back inside and ordered us a taxi, which came within a couple of minutes.
The same member of staff approached us the next morning and asked if we had made it to the theatre OK and how the show was. He was absolutley lovely.
The rooms were clean and spacious. Nicely designed. Plenty of storage.
Totally minor point, but a large proportion of the duvet was tucked very firmly under the bottom end of the bed. I wasn't strong enough to pull it free. Even when I moved right down the bottom of the bed, I couldn't cover my shoulders with the duvet. (I am not tall).

All members of staff were friendly, efficient & welcoming. The room and facilities were great - especially the huge shower and lovely toiletries. Food was also top rate, both at the dinner & at breakfast.

Wifi passable. 'Smart' tv was kinda dumb.

Bed is comfortable and rooms are bigger than average
Toilet leaked leaving water all the floor.
Water pipes and hearing pipes banging all night.
Reported to staff didn't really seem interested at all.

Reception staff were not very helpful. Room service brought food and forgot the wine. They arrived 20 minutes later with the wine. But we had eaten our pizza. We said we no longer wanted the wine as we wanted to drink it with our meal. Lady said we had to have it and couldn’t get a refund. The lady at reception the next morning sorted it all out and gave us the wine for free. So ended ok

We stayed for a party on the roof top bar. All excellent, party was brilliant and the rooms are lovely. Bed was comfy and all facilities were great. Shower gels etc smells devine!
No access to bar via stairs as was only on floor below. Husband does not like lifts and had to walk all the wat down to walk all the way back up to gain access to rooftop bar!
