The fact is the owner took good care of us.

The room is exceptionally small and is even uncomfortable for 2 people.Moving freely is a challenge and you start feeling that even after spending almost 2k everyday you might not find it easy spending time in the room.

Shaleen Elegance is good value basic budget accommodation, the sort of thing we look for while travelling for 8 months in Asia. It is run by a very efficient and friendly owner with the assistance of one staff member, a young chap with a big smile. The manager has excellent English, the staff has none. Our room was clean, comfortable, and good value for around $20 USD per night. Remember, you get what you pay for. Mt Abu is very popular with Indian holidaymakers and weekenders, and well located, inexpensive accommodation is in short supply. Shaleen Elegance falls into that category and is just what we were looking for. We are a couple in our mid 60's and the stairs were no issue for us. However, if you have limited mobility then you may find the steep stairs difficult. Our room was damp but all of Mt Abu is damp during the monsoon, and you would struggle to find a room in any hotel in Mt Abu that doesn't have this issue. For budget travellers looking for well located accommodation in Mt Abu, Shaleen Elegance fits the bill.

All was fine

Very good and clean location in the center of Mount Abu. Great location, close to Nakki Lake, Bus station, Redeaurants etc. Nice and spacious room. Staff was incredibly friendly. Especially the owner was always ready to help and made us feel safe.

Everything Even we stay one more day because we gets feel like real home 🏡 .

The owner was really helpful and gave us a warm welcome together with useful connections with a guide for a trek and taxis. It made our day, we were very happy with our stay in a central location in Mt Abu.

Amazing location, clean rooms, private toilets / bathroom. Couldn’t ask for more. Shaleen and his staff will go out of their way to ensure your comfort. He helped me with booking tour taxis, buying beer, booking a bus to Udaipur, suggestions on food places, etc. Good place to stay if your not Indian or don’t speak Hindi as his English is A+ and offers advise to ensure you don’t get ripped off.

NOTHING! This place is great. There are some comments about narrow / steep stairs, but don’t be fooled by the street appearance as once your in your room, it’s lovely! As the old saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover. Yes there’s no elevators but if your really too unfit or lazy to carry your own suitcase up 2 flights of stairs, Shaleen has staff who are more than willing to help.

Climbing narrow stairs to room, very poor isolation - noise from both the street and noisy guests all night. Had to get up at one instance to calm barking dog on the ground floor. The bathroom was a potential death trap. Switches and sockets in the main shower zone... Found hairs from previous guests in the bed. Very cold in the room (February), even when we were using our own heater...
