Our cottage is cozy and affordable. Enjoy the pleasure of lounging in either a double-bed or two single beds. We include AC, wifi, housekeeping, cable tv, and private bathroom with shower essentials. We are located in the Town of San Ignacio. We are perfectly located, as we are only a 7 minute walk to the town center. No other location offers all the amenities we do, and yet is adjacent to town. We are on 7 acres of garden. We have access to the river flowing at the back. We are a perfect place for enjoying nature at its best. We are a retreat in a vibrant city! Maximize your relaxation in our hammocks – perfect for an afternoon nap. Stroll along on our lighted walkways as you enjoy our pristine garden. Our property has an ideal setting for fishing and horse riding. Our tour desk can arrange trips to nearby caves and Mayan ruins, as well as bird watching excursions. We include - Air Conditioning - Cooling Fan - Tours Desk - Free Wifi - Free Parking - Swimming Pool - Laundry Service - Pool Towels - Cable TV We feature an outdoor swimming pool and relaxing gardens.

Easy rental process and cool accommodations with a secret cave pool!

Overall it's a pleasant place to stay, but some things need improving. Except for one day, we had no hot water. The listing talked about 7 acres of garden to walk through. That 7 acre garden may be in future plans, but it's not there now. It's just dirt and piles of junk and trash. That being said, it was still a very pleasant place to stay.

Perfect little cabana!!
This place was wonderful walking distance to all the great restaurants and bars but far enough that you got quiet too! A/c was fantastic and Andrea at the front desk was always happy to help you! The pool was clean and warm and Omar the bartender makes a fantastic drink! Definately enjoyed our stay here and would definately return. Only 2 cons, wish there was a shelf or any other surface to lay things in the bathroom and secondly another outlet would be great! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved it here. Little cabana type units ,surrounded by tress. Clean with Aircon and fans, restaurant, pool and bars and all a short walk to town. Only disappointment was not seeing a toucan!

midas Belize
Overall it was great, staff very helpful and very easy to ask for assistance. Only thing that was aggravating was that the tv had to be worked on every day as the cable was being worked on in town.

Excellent property
We had a great experience with this property from start to finish. Jenna was very reaponsive and assisted setting up a tour for us. It was very clean. The staff onsite were very helpful.

Great stay
We really enjoyed our stay at Midas. Great location we received a room upgrade which was was a great bonus. They need more lounge chair by the pool, also the pool was busy but the bar didn't open until 3:00pm so they missed out on all the hot thirsty people. We walked by the pool around 5:00pm and most people had gone back to their rooms for the day so an earlier opening would be a good idea.

Great place to stay
Jenna J's property at Midas is a great little place! The people were warm and inviting, we had a great time getting to know them. The cute little cabanas were clean and comfortable, and in the back of the main building, giving you the feel of privacy and being close to the jungle but still just a short walk into San Ignasio. The breakfasts were very good, I recommend the omelet, excellent! If I have the opportunity to get back to San Ignasio I will be staying here again for sure! Thank you Jenna:) Ernie

Would stay here again
This is a lovely place, reasonably priced for my husband and myself, and walking distance to town. I thought the rooms were well kept and the pool was immaculate. It was what I expected when I booked and not getting an unhappy surprise is always a good thing. The staff, and I’ll include all Belizeans that I’ve met, were so friendly and chatty. The chambermaids put in quite a long day, first serving breakfast then cleaning the units. I would book the Midas Hotel in San Ignacio, Belize again. Colleen Brzezicki

Private yet still close to town
Overall the place was nice. They will help you book trips for tours and the place is private and a little out of town but walking distance to the rest of the area

Awesome!!!
Great staff. Great lodging. 7 minute walk to town. The pool and bar are perfect after a hot day in the jungle. Would recommend this place to anyone. Remember to tell cab drivers you are going to Midas. Catch the local bus at the corner to go anywhere you want. Safe and saves lots of money on shuttles. 15 minutes West and get off the bus at Succotz ferry and do Xunantunich ruins by yourself early am to avoid crowds and hear the howler monkeys.

We loved it!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the huts and just loved it. I purchased a pineapple from the local market and the kitchen staff cut it up for me to take on a day trip. Jesse was very friendly and professional at the bar. Everyone we encountered was great. We would certainly stay there again.

Charming, private and comfortable
This was my second stop in Belize.
The accommodations were just what we were looking for: private, secure, clean, comfortable and very charming with exotic plants everywhere and even a hammock on our porch.
The staff was excellent and very helpful in securing great transportation for our excursion to Tikal. The food was amazing -- especially the fresh fruit and fry jack bread (it's like a scone) which we had never tried before.
We also loved dipping in the very large pool.
This is close enough to town to walk, yet far enough away to feel a little more secluded and off the beaten path. We loved it!
