Fabulous

Overall ambience, rooms, and the wonderful hospitality of the hosts Ramila and Shiromani is outstanding! I was there on 20th to 22nd September with my parents above 80 years old. Travelling with seniors is sometimes not so easy but the moment we walked in to little Singamari in Darjeeling, we knew we made the right choice. The host couple made us feel extremely comfortable and they were always available for any advice in terms of sight seeing or tips for shopping. Spending time with them, their son and a cute Puppy named Lucy was the icing on the cake. The food Ramila prepared was simply delicious. Thank you Ramila… have not eaten so well since we left your place. Will be back soon!

Magical! Exceptional hosts and staff!

Ramila and her family were exceptional hosts! The food was so fresh and delicious, the conversation was great, the staff awesome! Ramila even made sweets that I told her I enjoy! Most magical views of Kanchenjunga after the clouds lifted. The walk from Little Singamari to the viewing spots was amazing with a temple along the way with the sweetest bhajans. Little Lucy the dog is adorable and so friendly! Everything was wonderful!

Very welcoming stay and amazing hosts!

The host family was very nice and open to talk. They suggested ways to walk to the center as well as what we could do. They even serve dinner which they cook freshly and help you learn how they usually eat in Darjeeling.

Deeply personal stay that connects history and home

If you are looking for a warm, cozy home amidst the Eastern Himalayas, this is the place to be. It was extremely difficult in the beginning to choose a homestay just by looking at Booking.com but I am eternally glad that I made this choice. The family, especially the lady running this property have a century-old history to share. Yet, the property goes beyond the trappings of history to provide a homely experience at every hour. Local food is cooked in generous amounts and each meal would be tailor made for you based on your cravings. Darjeeling being a tourist spot has luxurious hotels in abundance however what creates a new experience in such tourist hotspots is the touch of home. It often happens that we bring our biases to a place as a tourist and avoid listening to the local voices. Homestay such as this helps one unlearn and truly understand the community that occupies it. If you are still looking for a hotel, this may not be the place. If you are looking for a home, these doors won’t turn back on you. :)

Most calm, peaceful and serene homestay in Darjeeling

Located just 2 kms away from the hustle bustle of main Darjeeling town, this homestay is a complete bliss. We woke up to such a serene view, and the calmness in and around the property- the exact break that we were looking for from our daily lifestyle . Special mention about the host Ramila- a wonderful and charming lady, who was always there to assist us, and we had some nice conversations too. The food she cooked, will make you feel just as a home away from home. Can’t miss mentioning Lucy, their pet, who was as warm and welcoming. :) Everyone and everything in this place have a feel good factor, and I will recommend highly to experience this serenity. Definitely will be back there again. Thank you for the experience, Little Singamari Homestay :D

Awesome Place

It was the best place I have ever lived in. The hosts were so good. They had a cute little puppy, Lucy. She too was friendly. Food at the place was very tasty. I wish we had stayed there for another couple of days.

Best experience I've had.

So this is my first ever review for a Hotel I've stayed in. I don't usually review because well, most of the times it's nothing special. But this stay was special from the day we checked in. I booked two rooms here, and we were five of us. I checked in with 4 elders and we all had a blast. The rooms - very spacious, neat. With all required facilities including a fabulous balcony view. The staff - Very courteous, responsive and they cater to almost whatever you ask of them. They were always on time. The food - Very homely, delicious and filling. And again - always on time. The owners - Definitely the best part of the whole trip. Mrs. Rangila and her husband were so sweet, always helping us out with whatever we needed. The best part was, the sent us off so nicely, like we were their relatives who they actually liked! Honestly never experienced such warm treatment before. Everyone who stayed here loved the place to bits! Thank you Mrs. Ramila and your husband!

Everything, there is not a single that I didn't like. The professionalism of the staff, the friendliness, the location, the owner, the food, the provided amenities everything was top notch. Plus the location 4 of the Darjeeling's top tourist places were in walking distance.

I didn't like the fact I stayed for only 2 nights which is too little to enjoy such a place. A home away from home

Host and hospitality both were amazing. Food was excellent. 2 kms away from Mall Road. Small balcony with good view. Homestay has all basic facilities available. Moreover they maintained good hygiene and cleanliness. Value for money.

This is the place to be if you are looking for a homely stay. Quiet and a beautiful property

A very clean and well maintained property. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. They cooked amazing food for us and guided us on the things we could do while we were there.

We had to leave one day early because there was no room heater.

The location was in a open area. One can see the mountains from the balcony.

There are no room heater. Since the home stay was outside the city limit, the cold was more. Room heating should be there, otherwise it would be difficult to stay in the room.

Home away home.

Location - Away from center. Daily cleaning - Should be minimum alternative day.

Very good property, well decorated, well managed, Good behaviour, caring staff and management. Very good quality food, complementary breakfast has also lot of varity. Romila madam and Siromoni sar is very helpful as a owner/top management they deserve 10/10.

Best homestay ever

I have stayed in many top hotels, resorts, homestays, etc. in the last few years and, the Little Singamari Homestay is the best. Not the best in Darjeeling, but the best ever in any place that I have ever visited. The owner, her children and each and every staff are extremely courteous and helpful. Our room was spacious, Wi-Fi was good despite being in a hill station, and the views of mountains from the balcony were amazing. I highly recommend the Little Singamari Homestay to prospective travellers.

Peaceful Stay at a Perfect Location

The homestay is amazing with nice environment & ambience. The room is quite spacious and very neatly maintained. The host and his family meticulously took personal care for making our stay a memorable one. The foods served to us at the homestay restaurant were superb as well.
