Not what expected but was a good value stay anyway

Right by the river, well placed for Cat Tien national park. This was a last minute booking since I was travelling by motorbike through so worked out pretty good. There was a basic fam/cooling system in the room which I didn't expect.

The room was advertised as with 'river view' though this was not the case unless you go for a big family room. Also on arrival I was told the stilthouses were not available so a brick construction room was offered. I was given a discount after making the staff aware of my disappointment so no harm done but I did make the booking based on the description. Hot water was not available the entire time, though I did expect this to be the case given the 'eco' credentials of the listing

Exceptional

Me and a friend stopped a night here while we were motorbiking through Vietnam. It was a beautiful resting place, I loved the wooden huts, hammocks and slept great. Felt like I was in the heart of a jungle.

The owner is very kind and pleasant.

No air conditioning for the mid day heat. But it wasn't a huge deal since we weren't in room during the whole day.

Great hosts. Set us up to fish in the river and cooked the fish we caught. Excellent food and service.

I've never taken a breath that deep, until I stay there

The host are very thoughtful and generous. The place is fresh and comfy. The dogs and cats are exceptionally cute. It's romantically sad when it's raining. Even when I get back to my apartment and go to sleep, I can still feel and hear the rain in there. It burns in my mind with many good memories.

The lady who cooks for us she uses not enough salt. But she was pregnant at that time, and was about to give birth few days later. So I assume being pregnant affects her tongue when she tastes the food. We don't like it. But we understand it.

Superb

Very friendly staff, tho they don't speak English/French. Contact Ms Men via phone/WhatsApp - she is very fast & efficient in organising stuff for U or answering your queries. Food is good (not great) and freshly made. Go bike & hike to the Croc lake - definitely the highlight of the nature reserve.

Beautiful homestay, gorgeous family! I’m coming back ASAP!!!

I had completely no expections when I booked this homestay while on the bus 2 hours away from arriving to the area. Upon booking communication was efficient, and there was already someone ready to take us to the hostel when we got off the bus. The homestay is gorgeous; we were greeted with 2 glasses of homemade lemonade. The main purpose of my trip was to visit the nearby national park, however ended up enjoying our time instead there on the hammocks, viewing the beautiful flowers, butterflies and bungalows. Chị Bền (sister Ben) and her family is very hospitable and welcoming. Unfortunately they know little English, but they have English menus, written tour information available. The bungalows were very comfortable. Although it was very hot weather, there are fans all around the area and mosquito netting. The toilets are brand new, western style, the bathroom sink area is so clean and functional and they oversupply in toiletries (8 toothbrushes hihi). The shower does not have not water available but you don’t really need it given the weather. Bikecycles are available for use, breakfast is free which includes 6 different options and a drink. We just had a beautiful plate of fruit and yoghurt and a Vietnamese iced-coffee.
