Nice little spot, close to a few provincial parks and other spots for swimming, hiking, rafting horseback riding, etc. Even with other guests nearby, there are only four cabins of two people each, so it still felt private, and most of us went out for the day on our separate adventures. I look forward to coming back when the new owners have the kitchen and bar all set up again, the lodge is quite lovely. (And the neighbours sell maple syrup, which is a nice perk.)

Great location with really comfortable facilities. We stayed in the cabins, which had everything we needed. Nearby lake is perfect for kayaking. Algonquin Park a short drive away. The shared area has a pool table, games, music and the most interesting book collection I’ve seen in a cottage! Free charcoal and firewood. Hot shower. We were made to feel completely at home by the team, and would happily come back.
Honestly, nothing. It was pretty much everything we hoped.

Loved absolutely everything about the property and the experience.
From the accommodations, to the activities, to the food and especially Ray and Steve - the owners were super friendly and gave off a great energy.

The managers of the place are super friendly. They are more than happy to show around the neighborhood and give some tips on things to visit. They provide kayaks and canoes to go on the lake and are always available for a chat and a beer.

Had a really lovely stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Mike was an excellent host, and took care of everything I needed. Location is great, really close to Algonquin park and several nearby towns for food. Will definitely stay again if I come back here

A perfect cozy place for couples. Loved the experience and the staff is very friendly.
Just a note for the staff. It would be nice if the grill is cleaned before giving us the place. Also, there were a couple of exposed nails on the flooring.

The cabin is in the wooded area and is very quiet.
Not much not to like it's everything is says it is

The cabins are cosy and clean. Like is described. You should have good mosquitos proteccion for you and within the room.

Service was wonderful, Sue was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. She cleaned out our fire pit as there was no room for wood with ashes, same with the charcoal BBQ. Reasonable prices for food, drinks and wood/charcoal.
We loved the beach up the road.
We read reviews of being charged a cleaning fee of $100 that is not disclosed anywhere. We swept inside and outside, cleaned our grill and took off our own sheets and pillow cases etc in order to avoid this fee.
The trail to the lake was blocked by a large tree and the trail is now muddy and full of ATV tracks; last time we were here in 2020 the trail was well managed and no obstacles. We didn't make it to the lake due to bugs and fallen trees etc.
They did not have matches or BBQ lighters for sale as we forgot ours. They also don't have BBQ equipment as they did the last time we were there.

Beautiful little camping cabin in the woods. Very quiet and private. Perfect to unwind. Mike is an excellent host and although short staffed stepped up and made sure we had everything we needed. We were well taken care of, had a great visit and will be back!

The owner and manager were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Particularly valuable were the suggestions they provided about what to see/do in the area.
The lodge is short-staffed, but we know they are currently recruiting, so we were understanding in that regard.
Perhaps a bit of signage at the lodge itself would also be helpful, e.g., Reception, Shower/Kitchen.

Exactly what we needed! Nothing but peace and quiet for 3 days! Our cabin was great. We absorbed the whole camping experience with a little bit of added comfort. The lake is worth the walk, we caught a some really nice largemouth bass. Mike is a great host too
Next time I would bring a small camping stove for morning coffee and a quick breakfast, instead of having to make a fire for a few items, but we managed and it was great. (they do have coffee in the mornings at the restaurant, we just wanted to make our own)

We stayed in cabin which was very well made, clean and all that we needed- comfy bed, mini fridge, heater if needed, BBQ - table n chairs - fire pit - and Outhouse just seconds away ! Many windows with screens and pull down blinds! We enjoyed our walk/hike at back of property - some good FRESH air and really just what the ‘Dr. ordered’ !!

Mike and Jeannie are great hosts and the location is just perfect if you want to have a cabin experience in the midst of nature. The food served was great too and we would definitely recommend this place to everyone. It is quite close to few Provincial Parks including the Algonquin Park and there are many activities that you can do in the location itself while enjoing the beauty of the woods.
Nothing as such.

The location is amazing and you're surrounded by trees. The staff is really friendly. I stayed in one of the cabins and it was really comfortable and cozy. You're also not too far from the park. You will totally feel disconnected from the cities.
Cabins are a bit close to each other, so if you're looking for a bit of privacy when sitting outside around your fire, you'll have a view on the other users. Not a deal breaker though.
