Located on the 25th floor with spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and The Laguito lagoon, in trendy El Laguito in the heart of Bocagrande, Cartagena’s best tourist area, this apartment offers the best views of the city and the warm Caribbean breeze. The apartment is composed of two bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms, both offering spectacular views of the ocean. The living room is very spacious and has a very large window that offers a stunning view of the ocean. The living room leads to the terrace where the ocean breeze can be enjoyed at all times of the day and which offers a nice view of Cartagena's Bay. There is also a half bathroom for visitors, as well as an utility room that houses the washing machine. The neighborhood offers huge selection of excellent restaurants with a wide variety of music and food for all tastes. There are also bars, casinos and designer shops only a few steps away. The building offers a pool overlooking the lagoon. Hair salons, convenience stores and rent-a-car are also available within walking distance. The Ac did not work in the living room and it is very hot in Cartagena and the sink in the bathroom runs water out on the floor they fix it one time but didn’t last long

The property itself was amazing. The staff was awesome. From the security to the cleaning staff, everyone had a smile and treated us with the utmost respect. Any questions I had, they attended to immediately. The place was very clean and the view was out of this world. I mean, wow. Every window in the place has an awesome view. The best view I’ve ever seen in my life would be the one in that master bedroom. The area outside of the building is a little sketchy especially if you can’t speak Spanish. The food around there is absolutely amazing though. Every place we ate at (and we tried at least 7 of the restaurants around there) were unbelievable. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

The view from this property was amazing. However, the unit is poorly maintained. Two of the sinks either linked or wouldn't drain. One of the shower doors doesn't close. All the windows leaked during rainstorms and the glass door to the deck actually blew into the living room. There was no Wifi for the entire time we were there. No blankets were provided. Attempts to get these items addressed went on deaf ears with the management on site and the owner was not responsive.

The view of the ocean at night was the best from every angle of the apartment and it was walking distance to the beach and 5 minutes from walled city staff was very friendly and security was top notch

I can honestly say that I had an AMAZING stay! The property is beautiful, the area is safe, the staff were all very friendly & responsive.
My only draw back was that they did not fix the air conditioner in the master bedroom which I slept in. They did bring out a technician to look at it but he never returned as they said he would, so the room was without any working air conditioner for the remainder of my stay. They did bring in a fan which I appreciated, However; if it was peak summer weather it would have been very uncomfortable. I was able to manage thru without it but that was my only draw back.
I would certainly recommend this property & i would definitely return again with confirmation of a working air system in the master bedroom. Everything else was Beautiful & accommodating!

Property does not have hot water which should have been listed, also has no blankets or extra sheets for futon or couch bed. We asked for blankets twice and never got any. Property is agent and needs some maintenance .

Good location on Boca Grande. Good views from balcony. Unit has most amenities but is in poor material condition. Sliding doors to balcony didn’t close properly. Sheets and towels provided but no bedcover. Most importantly, did NOT have hot water entire visit. Owner/Manager was easy to communicate with (in English) but didn’t fix the problem during our stay. Unit was not available for our use until an hour after check in time.

We went to Cartagena for my son and I to get oral surgery......and visit family living there. From the start, the contact person (Santiago) REFUSED to give us the name of the building after we paid in full for our stay. He would only give us the address. That information alone is useless to cab drivers there AND will not identify the property using Google.
So, we are let out on the street with 6 pieces of luggage in scorching hot weather "in the vicinity of the building".......with my son in terrible condition after having 4 wisdom teeth removed. I explained our situation and pleaded with Santiago on the phone to give us the name of the building. HE REFUSED AND HUNG UP ON ME. Finally, my son and nephew went from building-to-building until the address was finally verified by a doorman.
After seeing the building, I can see why they don't give out the building name..........or post exterior photos of it. The building is in poor condition and must be 40-50+ years old. It has no handicap access from the street. It has a two-story flight of steps just to get to the doorman. There was no help available with our luggage. The elevators are 3' x 3'..........the smallest I have ever seen. They are not air-conditioned and they are the slowest I've ever experienced. It made us regret being in the 25th floor penthouse apartment.
The air-conditioning unit in the second bedroom did not work, was reported several times, and no one ever came to repair it.
Needless to say, the stay was a total catastrophe.
But, the icing on the cake was yet to come. Santiago sent us an email (and then called) accusing us of stealing their blender from their apartment.
Of course, there was no blender. My wife, who is on a very strict diet, travels everywhere with her NutriBullet. I'm not sure what the owner's motivation was........or how the thought of a "blender" even came up. I can only assume that someone from the building came in the apartment while we were out and noticed our NutriBullet.
Obviously, this was the worst travel experience of our life. Don't make our mistake.

Especatacular
El apartamento tiene un vista espectacular. Es amplio y moderno. Las personas que atienden son muy amables y serviciales. El lugar cuenta con todo la necesario para una gran estadía. Hay varios comercios cerca del lugar, al igual que una gran selección de restaurantes. Para nosotros lo mejor fue la cercanía a la playa y al centro histórico de Cartagena. Definitivamente volveremos a Cartagena y sin duda nos alojaremos en este bello lugar.

This was our second visit to this apartment and trust me it's not as wonderful as last year.We stayed a total of 12 days. What's included? Well, to begin with you get 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 12 days. If you want more you have to buy it. The Pros- Great views, large master bedroom, cold air conditioning, WiFi and Jenni the cleaner is amazing.The Cons- The pics are not reflective of the apartment. -The pics show blankets on the beds (they are NOT included), -The hot water didn't work in any room, -The shower faucet has been broken in the smaller bedroom since last year. -The air conditioning in the living room doesn't turn off because the batteries in the remote are corroded in and leaking. If it's too cold you have to open the patio doors.-Dishes are provided but nothing to wash or dry them... you would need to provide your own cleaning supplies.-There is no iron-Only 4 towels are provided-Buy your own toilet paper-The Glass doors on the balcony are barely hanging on-ONE DAY THE OWNER SCHEDULED IN A REPAIRMAN TO WORK ON THE GAS FROM 9AM UNTIL 4PM AND WE HAD TO STAY IN THE APARTMENT ALL DAY WHILE HE WORKED. (Santiago the owner doesn't care that it's your vacation and that you paid to be there)The owner refused to compensate us for the lost day of vacation however, he did offer us a discount if we return. Funny how he didn't advise us before we booked that the gas was going to be fixed- so be prepared for surprises!-Santiago you should have said "we're sorry for the inconvenience and here's the money for the day because you had to take care of my repairman." - I don't work for you Santiago. I paid to be in the apartment that you rented...It's a legal agreement and you have no right to disrupt our vacation. -It's unfortunate because we liked renting this apartment but the owner is relying on all the great reviews from the past and now doesn't care about his customers now.- I took pics of everything as proof and would be happy to send them to anyone who wants to see. The owner stated that he expected a bad review because I was frustrated but that's not true.. I'm not frustrated. My review is accurate and based on what is advertised versus what you receive.We are returning to Cartagena again in September and it's really unfortunate that we won't be renting here again.

Great location x gorgeous views
Loved our stay her. Nice size condo. Great location, yet quiet. Easily accessible to taxi and beach.
Cons: there was no iron, hair dryer, wash rags or enough towels so bring your own. Also, the pool was never open during the 7 days I was here so that was a bummer.
I would reserve this property again.

I met my new fiance' here in February and we have spent nearly 4 months at the penthouse.
5 Stars, very nice....centrally located and close to every.thing....NO taxi needed ever. The smart tvs and the new fast internet with wifi make it my office while here. I will offer some advice on cell communication from trial and error and much wasted money. The ONLY thing that will work here constantly (in the condo) is an I Phone 6 or better with wi fi calling AND T Mobile service....thats it. However, it is reliable and cheap! As for communications out and about, any cheap local phone service should work. The ac is great as well.

Very Clean, Large Penthouse with amazing views!
We stayed here in late February and the apartment is all they said it would be. When we arrived the apartment was still being cleaned and the staff were friendly and pleasant. This is our 5th trip to Cartagena and we have stayed in many other apartments that were clean and nice but the views from this place are amazing. The air conditioning worked well and so did the hot water. This is now the only apartment we want to stay in when we visit Cartagena, Colombia! The only comment I would make is that when you read other reviews please keep in mind that you are visiting a Spanish language country. The people are wonderful and very accommodating and want you to truly enjoy their country... negotiation for goods and services is part of the culture. ...sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful Colombian culture.
