Located in Montecito, this lovely house for R 17,474 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Character abounds in renowned winemaker Bryan Babcock and his wife Lisa's enchanting 1920s Mediterranean home, situated perfectly for exploring the spectacular Santa Barbara Riviera (3 minutes from beach!) & nearby wine country. Located in Montecito on nearly an acre of landscaped grounds, the four bedroom house accommodates eight guests comfortably. For an additional cost feel free to inquire about our charming guest cottage. House guests receive complimentary tasting & discounts on our wines. Ideal Rooms for Entertaining: The fabulous dining room comfortably seats up to ten guests and is conveniently situated next to the gourmet kitchen. Well equipped, the cheery kitchen, with fantastic garden view, features a 6-burner Wolf range with double oven, dishwasher, microwave, and stainless refrigerator, as well as accessories for meal preparation and service. Outstanding caterers are available for special events. Adjacent to the dining area, is the large, cozy family room with views of the majestic oaks, flower garden, and fountain. Curl up with a book or watch a movie in this gorgeous room with beamed ceiling and beautiful old world fireplace. Charming, Restful Bedrooms: Upstairs, four charming and restful bedrooms await you. Three of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The master, with an en suite bathroom has a shower, garden view, television, king bed and romantic balcony. Another bedroom, also with balcony, has a bath adjacent, queen bed and a view of the rose garden. The third bedroom, with en suite bathroom and shower, has a beautiful antique queen bed and a gorgeous view of the garden with the fountain below. Finally, the fourth upstairs room has a queen bed a small sunroom, perfect for reading, and a small half bath nearby. Inviting Guest Cottage: Down a stone path, an inviting, two story guest cottage accommodates another four guests and is available for larger groups at an extra cost. The upstairs is bright, with high beamed ceilings and is thoughtfully appointed with a king bed, charming decor, and two sets of French doors leading to a large balcony. There is a full bath upstairs as well, with a beautiful vintage tiled floor. The first level has a double bed, desk and a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, coffeemaker, microwave and toaster, with seating and a cute table perfect for a morning scone and coffee. Parking is conveniently available near the home's front door, with room for a vehicle or two back by the guest cottage. Our home is perfect for spending quality time with friends and family. Due to our small quiet neighborhood location we allow only small intimate gatherings, we are not able to host large events. If renting our property, gatherings that include more than 4 non-occupant guests requires approval by the owners. Regular Gardening schedule occurs weekly on Tuesdays. Pets require approval prior to booking. We allow pets with the consideration of a $360 pet fee (per pet) (per week) & a signed pet agreement. House guests receive complimentary wine tasting at Babcock Vineyards Tasting Room located in the acclaimed Santa Rita Hills appellation.* The winery is a picturesque 50 min drive north of the Vintner's House. Guests also receive a 25% discount on any wine purchases. If you can’t make it up to the winery, but would like to have some Babcock wines during your stay, we are more than happy to deliver them to the house prior to your arrival. Babcockwinery.com *Wine tasters must be 21 or older, however we do welcome guests of all ages. We ave many areas to picnic both indoor and out. Additionally we have games such as checkers, chess and a pool table. We carry an enormousness collection of vintage vinyl, customers are welcome to listen with headphones and many of our albums are for sale, along with other very cool vintage finds!

We had just an amazing time in this Montecito home. The property is special. Just a vintage home that is comfortable with fun and special decor. The garden is exceptional. After the hustle and bustle of Santa Barbara we loved returning to the relaxing grounds. The outdoor spaces were fantastic and our 2 dogs enjoyed it all fully. After dinner in the garden we ended every evening in the large living room with the stone fire blazing. Terrific!

The home was exactly as pictured. It was a beautiful, private property ideally situated close to town but also right across the street from a sweet little walking trail. The living spaces worked perfectly for our family and the backyard was terrific for sunny relaxing afternoons!

Montecito vacation
I was looking for a special home to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday with our family, and this was such a beautiful place to stay! We all were very happy, had most of our meals outside, with the gorgeous weather, and enjoyed the location. Even our dog enjoyed the yard! As a Designer, myself, I appreciated all the art and design choices made for the home by the owner. With many family members that love to read, our only helpful hint would be for better lighting by the beds and sitting areas. We loved our stay and really enjoyed visiting your winery! What a fun excursion and some of the best wines I've tasted! We are now wine club members at Babcock Winery and hope to visit again soon. We have beautiful memories to last a lifetime! What an incredible stay! It was our daughter's wedding weekend and we wanted to make it a fun, family stay. Beautiful home, beautiful yard - we instantly felt at home, and frankly, did not want to leave! Perfect space for all of us and the cottage was a bonus for the newlyweds! Everything we needed and more - cannot wait to go back!

The kitchen was well appointed. Everything was very clean. The manager was very responsive. The area is very quiet except for the occasional train, which we actually liked.
We were very peopled out the last night and this place was perfect for everyone to have their own space.

It’s hard to describe just how wonderful this place is! While the property itself is gorgeous and feels like a wonderful step back in time, it’s more the little treasures thoughtfully placed around the house (we loved the coffee mugs with quotes from Glenda, Frank, Bob etc!). If you are a chef, the kitchen is magical- especially the oven. We are intrigued about the secret third story however, and were delighted to find the secret, though locked, entrance. Another treasure, I’m sure! ❤️ Can’t wait to return.

The perfect spot!
We so enjoyed our few days stay here in this gorgeous home in the beautiful town of Montecito. The expansive yard felt like our own private park and we enjoyed dining and relaxing outside. Our young son especially enjoyed the play structure! We can't wait to come back.

Beautiful property
Our check in time was 4pm and the house keepers were there until 6pm. Check in should be at 3pm and cleaners should be finished prior to check in. Also, the property is very close to the freeway so it's very noisy in during the night with windows open in the Summer. Needs air condition especially for Summer months. Overall the property was great and I would stay again.

This home is loaded with charm. You truly feel like you are away, maybe even in Provence or Tuscany. Much of the house is original and abounds with period details. Along with the historic charm comes a little bit of funkiness. The beds are comfortable and linens are nice.
