Unfortunately when we arrived at our room, it smelled terrible. The aircon didn't work, and the light in the bathroom wasn't working. The couch was stained, the carpet was dusty and didn't look like it had been cleaned, there was also stuff on the wall that looked questionable. We called the reception advising them and they did quickly get us to a new room. The aircon worked, smelt better but still wasn't up to standard. Considering the cost, we thought it would be better. There are better hotels for better value in my opinion.

Really nice and helpful staff. Amazing location.
The whole hotel is very very tatty. Dirty sofa fabric. Tiles missing from the swimming pool. The room smelt very stale. Apart from the great central location I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The location
First room the tv didn’t work then there was mould in the fridge which they was just going to spray with exit mould and leave us in there so moved us the second room had pubic hair stuck behind the toilet dust on the legs of the table and couch and snot stuck in the shower

being in the heart of the city it was accessible to everything. A short distance from both buses and trains, and once you found your bearings you could walk to where you needed to go - or catch one of the three free 'loop' buses.
prices of meals at the hotel seemed rather excessive - close by were several reasonably priced cafe/restaurants. Remember, this is a city where everyone eats out - a lot! We were not impressed with the outdoor/roof terrace area. The pool was smaller than expected and there was only room for 5 sunbathers. Towels however were clean and plentiful.

Early check in was amazing (9am). My daughter was stoked. Plent of room for our bags etc in the room. Location couldn't fault it. Staff were lovely. Upstairs bar was a great addition. Loved the amount of towels available at the pool.
Breakfast was okay. Ran out of butter. Glasses for juice are in a spot a lot of people couldn't find them.
The bathroom ran out of body wash, which is strange, considering the bottle was 480ml. So hadn't been checked in a while.
Also the curtains in the bathroom were filthy. Bar staff upstairs was a bit slow, so we didn't end up staying for another drink. Pool needs some maintenance - pool tiles. Day beds look really shabby.

Buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing. could have been a bit better. Not up to Mecure standards have experienced at other hotels.

So close to everything. Me and my partner from GC, so we can get lost easily in the city.
We’ve stayed twice now and just think it’s perfect for a few days getaway. Neat little room and clean amenities. House keeping friendly and load you us with fresh towels every morning! Feels so luxurious using a fresh towel every day.
I am a little confused with the way they run breakfast in the downstairs cafe. Add the bill to your room but never got the opportunity to order from the menu. We went down a little hungover so a big buffet style breakfast at $42 a head wasn’t really what I was after. To have been able to just order a simple avo on toast I wouldn’t have had such a shock to the check out bill. $84 for breakfast.. but all in all still was a good breakfast. It’s not their fault I was a little bit rough 😅

The location is excellent and safe to walk too. Room was comfortable, quiet and curtained well to block sun. Room was ready early which was an actual bonus, very accommodating. Staff are so friendly and look very professional.
Don’t like paying for wifi. Wish I could get the breakfast when the people I’m travelling with don’t want to or have special dietary needs that don’t fit with the restaurant.

Room very dated. Needs a make over. Breakfast very ordinary. Not enough variety and all cold!!!

The room was well equipped for my purposes (desk, fridge, kettle, cups, usb ports near the bed, lighting), the pillows and bed were very comfortable, the staff were always very helpful, the towels we thick and felt good after a shower, the shower pressure was very good, water was hot. My stay in the room could not have been more comfortable. It was wonderful.

The room was freezing and the heater wouldn't work, even when on the highest and hottest setting. We had to pay for internet when 99.9% of hotels offer this for free (and when Brisbane CBD offer it for free). Tried calling reception as the tv wouldn't work, no one ever answered. The rooms smelt damp. The breakfast was inedible. We had paid in advance and didn't end up eating there again after the first experience.

Central and convenient location.
Tired, worst breakfast ever and they don't have a business centre. Can you believe that?

Very DISAPPONTING Stay. Start to end. Given a room with smell, requested to change the room which took 2 hours and the new room given AC did not worked. Requested for another room instead given a Fan. Asked for Bond very bad. Paid $50 per night for parking in advance for 2 nights. Upon check out Reception staff wanted to charge again extra $100. Most of the hotel was empty and after having all stay spoiled know why guests did not want to stay with Accor. Very Disappointing experience.
The place is rundown and have no access to fresh air in rooms. Beware that they completely shut down floors and Air-conditioning system, which leaves you suffocating in rooms.
