Sehr ruhige und weitläufige Anlage, dennoch in die Jahre gekommen

Sehr weitläufige und schöne Gartenanlage, schön angelegte Pools, ausreichend Liegen vorhanden, sehr ruhige Anlage, schönes Wellness- Angebot, sehr schöner Strand.

Die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen, die Handtücher und Bettwäsche waren fleckig.

The location is very beautiful with natural view

I have requested for birthday complementary surprise and the staff have served it nicely while we were having dinner.

The rooms were not ver clean and some insects were coming out

Great room. Good choice for breakfast

No same day laundry service. Travelled around Sri Lanka 3 times, touring & staying 2 or 3 nights in each place. This is the first hotel that does not cater for the traveller - forced into paying for the Express Service. The excuse that the laundry is not not on site - that is no excuse Asked if the receptionist would post two postcards for me - wanted money. What for? Stamps. Think you will see they have already been stamped!!

The property is very tired and run down. We now know it’s changing hands at the end of the month. The demeanour of the staff was depressing, not knowing if they had jobs. Sri Lankan people are known for their warmth and smiles. This was the only hotel we have ever stayed in where some made an effort, the majority didn’t even make eye contact. We really felt for them. We were the only people in Chatters, 3/4 staff on. We had 2 go and ask to be served. The placements were stained in fact, disgusting. Get your own threadbare beach towels. Very obvious not a 5star, possibly 2.

Beautiful, relaxing resort with amazing staff

Extremely friendly and helpful staff Beautiful grounds Great location right next to the beach and also near nice restaurants and some shops as well as the train station Comfy, spacious and clean rooms Good breakfast buffet with lot's of choices Nice spa

Our twin room request via booking.com did not go through, but the hotel arranged for a twin room for us within no time. Unfortunately, it was old, smelled damp and was not very clean. We asked for a different room the next day and got a beautiful alternative room and also a free dinner as compensation. The new room was world's away from our first room. One restaurant and bar were still closed, so food options during the day were limited to the pool bar/restaurant

Nice location, very friendly staff

1. Restaurant takes too much time in preparing food and they should increase staff in kitchen. Our order came aftet 1 hour and that too food quality was not good. We were not happy at all. We requested them to let their F&B manager talk to us but they never talked to us. Very unprofessional. 2. In pool table they do not have chalk fpr cue stick and when i asked them they said they dont have , they said they provide pool table for free so they will not give chalk, so i asked how would we play then and they dont have an answer. This is not expected from a 5 start hotel like Avani.

A Generic Resort without any "X Factor"

Expensive for what you get 400 sq ft room sounds very large but it isn't really More of a family staycation place Crowded beach with multiple resorts by each other Doesn't really have charm and quietness, very generic "resort" vibe, so it doesn't feel "special"

small beautiful resort with fantastic staff & great beach

The property & location was fantastic. the best swimming beach in Sri lanka. the staff were exceptional. A special thank you to Mr Ashaan & Mr Lahiru for going the extra mile to accommodate us with our reservation & dinner requests as we were a family of 13 & occupied 5 rooms. Also mr Jayantha & Ranjan as well as the cleaning staff. All the staff were exceptional.

overall a nice stay for 3 nights

nice location on Bentota beach, which has lovely sand and clear blue sea (quite strong waves). the hotel is nice and clean, with large pools and coconut grove to sunbath under. food at the hotel was good, although we chose to eat out most evenings, and recommend island seafood restaurant (prawn curry) staff were all very friendly and helpful, and always looking to help to provide whatever you needed

the hotel won’t give any recommendations so you will need to do your own research

Pleasant

The hotel entrance was very inviting, the staff were super friendly, the public areas and the room were super clean, has access to public beach and their pool is very nice… also it is close to many very good seafood restaurants. I would like to give a big thanks to Thasmi the guest relations officer for all her help and friendliness, the check in experience was extremely professional and smooth

Breakfast wasn’t that great, below average and a bit poor of options.

Very beautifully maintained property at a excellent location.

Great Service, friendly people

We are from germany and stayed our first 3 nights in Sri lanka in avani bentota. The Sri Lanka Trip is our honeymoon. We arrived at 5 o clock in the Night. The Hotel offerred a early Check in and a room Upgrade for free. We had a huge and clean room. All the people are very friendly. The service is amazing. The Hotel and the Garden is very clean. The Hotel has 2 big Pools and very convertable sun beds. You can can easy walk outside for restaurants, shops, Supermarktes and Bank. We take euro and change it at the Ceylon bank without fees and for a good Rate. You also can change Money in the Hotel if you like. The breakfast was great, also the cocktails on the bar. We also watched the other Hotels in the Area, but the avani looks the best and has the best Beach Part.

Amazing experience in fantastic resort
