A dissapointment.

The kids club and the staff there, animators, well-maintained landscaping, pools, and free shuttle to the city center.

Having stayed at the Barcelo resorts in the past, we had certain built-in expectations - unfortunately, these did not materialize. On the first day of our stay, we went to the Sushi restaurant. After waiting for almost one hour, we were told that there was an issue with a Chef and that no food would be served. Two days later, we re-attempted to eat at the same restaurant. Unfortunately, we spotted some rather "unusual" practices - food being sent back to the kitchen by one table being given to us, bread basket taken from our table and given to another table. However, what was the most aggravating point of our stay was the safety/security issue. While throughout our stay, we systematically used the safe provided in our room, on the afternoon of the last day, we forgot to place one of the wallets in it. The next day early morning (at the airport - about to board), we realized 200EUR was missing. Subsequently, we tried to reach out to the property over the phone, emails, and Booking.com messaging - no replies. In addition, four days after checking out and making full payment, we are still waiting for the deposit to be released. Based on the above, we cannot recommend Barcelo Palmeraie to anyone.

nice but much to be improved

size of complex cleanliness. was always being cleaned pool areas large and enough loungers for everyone stunning scenery of plants and trees and very well kept by their gardening team

1. the family rooms are not big enough for even a family of 4. there is decent sized bed and then just a L shaped sofas which do not pull out to make a bed. 2. poor welcoming upon arrival and information given apart from breakfast times. no idea about restaurants, kids club times etc 3. breakfast and dinner buffets are a nightmare: always waiting for cutlery to be set up etc. 4. no labelling of buffet food 5. walk back to the hotel room can be quite long from pool etc. no buggy’s readily available for families with kids to be transported back to hotel rooms

Overall a fantastic stay and was everything I hoped for.

Facilities were good, staff very friendly and always willing to help. Hotel had a shuttle bus to City centre which is excellent.Food overall was very good.

Would like seen better maintenance of the rooms- ie a few tiles missing from balcony floor, mirror light just handing on wall also shower fan missing cover plate( I do not think it’s up to the customer to advise) cleaning staff or regular inspections. But that’s me being very picky!!!

Terrible customer service experience

The property itself is good

We had terrible experience in the hotel. We booked one night, and the price was honestly very attractive saying “only 4 rooms left”, so we thought its probably some offer, etc. We booked, came to the hotel, checked in, payed exactly the amount in our reservation and honestly had a good time. Once want to check out the next day we were stoped by assistant manager saying that it was a mistake in a hotel system and we had to pay an extra amount which is around 5 times more than what we already payed. The person was very rude, shouting and threatening us. And said that he will not let us leave the hotel untill we pay, and if we leave, he has our card details and cut the money he wants. He also said “if you dont have money than you shouldnt come to a 5 star hotel”. We called booking.com and the customer service was very polite and helpful assuring us that we are free to leave and they will contact the property.

The fact that the room (on Booking.Com) indicated it would have a Coffee Machine. Far to much of the food choice was aimed at African Type guests

We would be happy to come back to this hotel. Really enjoyed every minute. Perfect relaxation spot!

Fantastic friendly staff and helpful. Beautiful environment for relax with family, kids or even alone. The room was comfortable and the food was great! We had good help with all the programs we wanted.

The coffee as I have milk allergy there was no alternative milk option.

Relaxing hideaway just outside Marrakech

Charming casita-style rooms, comfortable beds. Great food and beverages, and wide variety of delicious options at the buffet. Enjoyable live music, DJ, and other entertainment options. Super helpful and friendly desk staff. Wait staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Attractive and well maintained grounds. Truly exceptional spa: clean, beautiful, and relaxing, with talented (and strong!)staff.

Pool was a little bit cold for my liking (unheated). Also I did not care for the byzantine towel procedure. At the quiet pool I was told I needed to pick up a towel at the family pool. At the family pool I was told I needed a towel card from the front desk... And then there was a line at the front desk. At that point I gave up. Finally, I usually like to be walking distance from shops and restaurants: this is not the hotel for that kind of trip. But if you want to be pampered outside the city core, this is a lovely, relaxing, and affordable option.

The room

Went all inclusive, however, was not told about what was full included in the package so missed out on day 1 with evening drinks at the bar and snacks by the pool. Only found out when I asked about it which is a shame.

AMAZING HOTEL GO FOR IT !!!!

The staff were amazing, the pools were clean and big. The food was so well better that my expectations. A lot to choose from, food was always fresh. The breakfast buffet was the best I ever had lol Room bed (king size)was so comfortable and the shower was big and in good working condition. And the decor is just

It took me few days to get use to the pool temperature. I found it a bit cold. It would of been perfect if that pool was heated. The last shuttle leaves at 6pm. A bit later would of been helpful. The dinner at the hotel was a bit overpriced in my opinion as i only have breakfast included. I guess the all inclusive option was probably make more sense.

We had a nice stay.

The surroundings, pool and the room were nice.

It was really hard to get an iron during our stay. We had to call and go to the reception many times to get one. It wasted so much our time, so I would suggest maybe getting more irons for the hotel because it was just really time consuming.

It was comfortable but can be improved

As a family we required several rooms close next to each other which we asked for a month in advance and it was not done, so caused us a lot of inconvenience.

Please improve on the above, several important information leaflets and items were missing from the room, such as toilet paper, do not disturb sign, cups and directory numbers to call services within the hotel.
