We had a great stay! The house was clean and had plenty of space for our family and dog. It was a short walk to the beach and a short drive to restaurants and the trading post. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location with easy access to beach and bay! We had the beach to ourselves most days. Enjoyed a pontoon rental on the bay and beach time in the warmer afternoons. House was perfect for our family of 5 and our pup, with plenty of room to spare. Loved opening up the living room to the back deck with a gate to keep our pup safe. Thanks!

Stayed here for an extended stay, mid January thru all of February. This home is an old school, well worn single floor dwelling. Of course like most homes in the area, it sits on stilts. You can pull your car under the house.
Our initial reaction upon entering was everything looked neat and tidy. All the bedrooms are on the left side of the home if you're facing the gulf. The right side has a small area with washer and dryer, then essentially the kitchen, dining area, and living room in one great room.
First bedroom has a king size bed that was comfortable. Guest bath could be accessed from this room and also an external door sharing a set of stairs with the home next door. This bath has a small walk-in shower and a single sink. Master bedroom and bath are next. Some other reviewers complained about the king bed here, but we didn't find it uncomfortable. The master bath has a full tub and shower, and two sinks. The third bedroom, which somehave reviewed is a little awkward. It connects to the master bedroom thru a set of double doors. It has another king bed. In addition there is an external door to the rear deck. So, anyone staying in that room would need to go thru the master or outside to the deck and enter thru the living room. It was just the two of us, so no big deal.
We were disappointed in some things that clearly need addressing. I would say if one was here for a week, you probably wouldn't notice or care. However, staying for 7 weeks things become more apparent, so here goes; internal and exterior doors that stuck and wouldn't lock, cracked, broken and loose floor tiles, mildew on master bath shower curtain, clogged sink in master bath, chair rungs broken or missing in dining area chairs, dirty dishes pots and pans put away, no scissors, no iron. I replaced at least 6 light bulbs. The vacuum was a clunky thing probably from the 80's and wasn't very good. The robot vacuum didn't do any better. Guest bathroom sink had a very steady drip until I tightened it up.
We communicated with the owner about the missing iron. We also mentioned that the microwave vent hood needed a light bulb and filter for the stove top. Lastly I mentioned the grill for the Weber cooker was rusty and needed replacing. It took a while before the owner responded, but nothing was done while we were there.
Would we go back? Yes, we were comfortable. Things mentioned could easily be resolved.

The house was very clean, well decorated and comfortable. We thought the bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed to do any cooking. The cart to pull all your chairs and fishing equipment down to the beach was a real plus. When the weather finally cooperated we had a great time fishing in the surf and caught plenty of fish.
The only criticism I would have is that there was no live TV. I couldn’t catch up on the news or watch a football game on a rainy day 😞.

Lovely home located just past the Fire station when coming onto Cape San Blas. Nice neighborhood with beach access within a short walk down a picturesque boardwalk over the dunes. We had the whole beach to ourselves! Public beaches are just a little drive up to the Cape as well as the gorgous State Park.
The home is situated in the perfect location. Close to Port St. Joe for groceries and dining, close to the beaches and close to Indian Pass Raw Bar in Indian Pass!
Interior of the home is beautifully decorated, very clean with a kitchen stocked full of all cooking supplies needed. Beds are very comfortable. Great home for a family or two couples. Third bedroom is attached to master bedroom through double doors, so this is great if you have children that you need to keep up with!
Home is only one level, so not a lot of stairs to deal with which is a plus. Parking under the house for two cars. There is also a grill under the house and lots of beach carts and chairs to borrow. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay easier!
My husband and I brought our kayaks and enjoyed kayaking out in the bay. There is a put in on the right near the Stump Hole and also one at the State Park. Lots of sea life to observe in the crystal clear water!
If you ever need anything or have any issues, the owners of the home are very quick to respond and are extremely gracious and accommodating. We are looking forward to staying in this lovely home again in the near future!

The Pelican's nest was just right for us, very well appointed, nice decorating tastes and an excellent location.
We could see the bay from the front deck in the morning and the ocean from the rear deck in the evening :>
Hope to be back there soon...
I do have one suggestion, well I guess it's four, that would be four more coffee cups :>

we were extremely happy with the cleanliness of the house and it is much larger than it appears online. The kitchen is stocked beyond stocked; in fact, I believe it has more pots and pans that I have at home. We used the blender and the stove top and the Keurig the most. The couch in the living room is very comfortable and has a very nice television and it’s very cozy. The deck overlooks the ocean if you peak through the trees and through the buildings but is also very private because there’s not a house beside it. they allowed us to have our pet which is our first time to have traveled with him and he did really well there. we discussed some issues that we had with the owner and the only option was for us to change bedrooms to the front bedroom so that we could have a comfortable mattress. The mattress in the master bedroom with the two sink bathroom and tub shower combo has the worst mattress ever. We honestly were hurting the next morning and very tired from not sleeping. I alerted Erin and her answer was that it’s not that old and that’s normally where she sleeps. I am not sure what more she could’ve done but the response felt dismissive. we did sleep in the front guest bedroom and that mattress is a pillow top and very comfortable, but does not have a television. As noted on the title of this review , if you are looking for a three bedroom this is not a three bedroom. This is a two bedroom that is divided by two folding doors that do not latch and do not lock. In the pictures online it shows the 3rd “bedroom“ with an exit onto the deck and a television in the room, which it does not have. If you exited off of that room onto the deck then you would have to have a key to enter the living room and you would have to exit through the deck into the living room to go to a bathroom or walk through the master bedroom to the bathroom which would be awkward if it was adults. The house is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. We would look for a different house due to the bedding situation and awkwardness of that room if we were to return with additional family. Erin was quick to answer questions but had no resolution to how to stop the smoke detector alarming every time we cooked, which I saw in a previous review was also a problem. We ended up propping open the door ,and it was cold, while we cooked to avoid having the detector go off. this was better than standing underneath it and fanning it however L O L. House is a great location

The listing was completely accurate. Looks exactly like the photos. House was roomy, clean and comfortable. Walk to the beach was literally no more than 100 yards (to the boardwalk). Only 5 minutes to two general stores for basic necessities and15 minutes to Port St. Joe for a full grocery store and several restaurants. Beaches are nice and uncrowded. Very happy overall.

This home is far more spacious than it appears in the pictures. Parking under the house is large/tall enough for my large dogde ram 2500.
House is beautiful with easy access to the beach about a 5 min walk or the bay with a short drive.
