We had a delightful stay here. The accomodations are comfortable and had everything we needed. The highlight of our stay was watching the wild turkeys and enjoying fresh fruit grown on the property. The quiet was amazing.

My Mom and I had a wonderful stay! The place is wonderfully decorated with family history. The floor plan was absolutely perfect and comfortable. I used the hideaway bed, since it was a one bedroom, and it was very comfortable. If you want a quiet place close to Gainesville, this is it. Greg provided fresh picked fruit from trees on the property, which was a nice welcoming surprise. You could see turkeys and other birds in the morning. The place gave you a feeling of old Florida, I will definitely use this location when returning to visit my daughter at UF. Thank you Greg.

Greg was a great host. Kichen faucet waiting to be repaired was the only knock against it. Very quiet charming place.

Nice, quiet neighborhood which is great for nature lovers. The unit is just as described. It’s spacious and has a lot of historical decor. Greg was prompt at answering any questions and helping in any way.

I stayed here while I was finishing up a big creative project and needed a private get-away, and it was perfect for my needs. It was clean, quiet, and more than comfortable. The grounds are full of gardenias, palms, citrus, and banana plants, and there is a porch to sit and relax on. Just down the road is a little park on the lake. I hope to stay again the next time I need some creative space.

This very private garage apartment lives like an enchanted cottage in a setting of palms, pines, oaks, banana plants, elephant ears and the largest mimosa tree I’ve ever seen. The porch is ideal for bird watching with morning coffee and reading on a rainy afternoon. Less than a 10 minute drive from the UF campus, it’s super convenient, but feels as if you’re completely away from civilization. Greg, the host, is gracious and a fountain of local knowledge. Our only mistake was not booking a longer stay. We’ll be back.

This is a beautiful piece of property close enough to downtown while simultaneously giving the feeling of a peaceful retreat from the city. The sounds of nature framed by mature forest is gorgeous. My only regret is being too busy during our visit to enjoy the surroundings more. I had my reservations about staying here opposed to a hotel. I am so very happy to have chossen this, what can be described as a one bedroom apartment. The host Greg is extremely knowledgeable and has filled the unit with artwork of all kinds. I will look for this rental's availability for future stays in the area.

We enjoyed our stay in the area. Easy to get to the Micanopy and Williston area where we wanted to visit. Clean and peaceful property. Lots of art and history memorabilia. Gracious host of the property. Nice place to stay if you visit the area.

Greg was amazing to work with--I truly enjoyed the tour of the art pieces, historical items, and the grounds itself when I first arrived. I was there for the Mother's Day weekend, and Greg went out of his way to coordinate with my husband, who had flowers delivered before I arrived. Swinging on the back porch was my favorite part--I enjoyed the sound of the water fountain and the quiet peacefulness of the space.

Staying at Greg’s place was a perfect place to crash after a couple of 9 hour class days. Quiet and private

This property was incredible! The location was perfect - close to town but far enough to feel like the space was a retreat into nature. Greg was an amazing host - he provided many great recommendations and made every effort to ensure we had every comfort and amenity possible. He even placed gardenias in our room and gave me some when we left - the wonderful scent of the flowers welcomed to the space every day and wished us farewell when we departed.
I cannot recommend staying here enough. Greg is such a kind person and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the rich history of the art and relics that decorate this space. 10/10 hope to stay with him again. Thanks Greg!

Greg was the nicest host! He was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay! We had such a relaxing experience whether it was sitting on the porch or by the coi pond listening to birds to using the rental bikes for a sunset/day ride.

If you are staying around the Gainesville area and looking for a quiet clean and downright charming apartment only 4 miles from down Gainesville then look no further! Greg is an amazing host who met us when we drove up and gave us a short history of the historical objects found in the apartment. It was as if we were in a private museum. We really loved the paintings and other art objects made by various family members- including an antique wicker bird cage. The location can not be beat as the zen garden was just delightful as was listening to the cricket frogs at night and even a Barred Owl! And it was very close to the Gainesville- Hawthorne bike trial. Hope to come back and stay longer some day!

A wonderful place to enjoy quiet time and adventure in a neat, artistic space, with a beautiful outdoor setting. Located on a secluded, quiet road near the beautiful Newnan's Lake, you will be just far enough from the city to enjoy solitude, yet close enough to be there in no time. Make sure to visit Palm Point Park and Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail nearby.

This was the perfect property for our weekend in Gainesville. The location is easy to reach and near downtown Gainesville and the stadium, while still being in a quite and beautiful neighborhood. We were able to take a walk and watch the sunset on the lake, on the first evening of our trip, which was a nice way to settle in. The property was clean and had all the useful amenities. Greg gave us a tour of the home and artwork, which was lovely to hear. The local artwork enhanced the beauty of the property and added to the "experience" of our stay. He also gave recommendations for activities and places to eat that were helpful. We hope to stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend with our daughter. It was an unexpected advantage to stay at this location, because we avoided all the game day congestion with the apartment being on the east side of Gainesville. The history and art displayed were fascinating and the surrounding natural beauty was wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the otter as we left one day and coming home to the sounds of the owls in the trees at night. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our delightful stay. The moment you arrive, you are welcomed by the host. He provides you with wonderful details of his family's relationship with the property. You immediately want to protect, take care of, what he is allowing us to enjoy for a few days.
Beautiful porch area. Nature, trees, landscape, migrating birds, wild turkey, black racer snake, (only one). Even the thunderstorm w/ lightening was nice / exciting as we sat in our car waiting to safely run to our entrance.
We look forward to our next visit. Just a stones throw to the U.
We recommend, but you have to leave our dates open :)
