Simply amazing time at this place! The room was perfect and the place itself was lovely. It was very easy to organise safaris and transport from here. A special thank you to Lahiru as well! Words can't describe what a great host he is. Throughout the time I was there he was always looking to help and he definitely made my trip more enjoyable with his fantastic suggestions. I honestly can't recall ever having a host as helpful as him.

Amazing service. We were picked up on the arrival and dropped off at the bus station at departure. We were welcomed with a cool coconut at the arrival and after the safari. We booked the safari through them. Everything was very well organized and for a very good price. Room was spotless clean. And the food was amazing. Please don't eat out but have all your meals at that place. It is cheaper than outside and so much better. They make everything very fresh from the scratch. Make sure that you ask for free fruits with every meal 😉

Nothing to complain about

A nice and small place with good and clean rooms. Altough we did not book a Safari trough Nehansa they offered to make breakfast really early in the for us (4.30). We had the Breakfast for take away. The staff is nice and deliver a great service. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a safari in Yala.

We were so looked after by the lovely staff during our time. For any questions the answer was only a WhatsApp message away. Tuktuk shuttle to restaurants, watching the bats at sunset (which I don't think many people offer since we were one out of two tourist parties there). They called in the spotted deer to the neighbouring garden for us. We also had food there which was very delicious, lots of coconuts were opened for us. There was a Buddhist festival on one night which we were invited and taken to being the only tourists there and getting a real insight into the people and culture. Priyankara helped us with any requests (getting laundry done, where to go for massages etc). Lahiro looked after us like we are family. Very lovely experience. The room was clean, spacious and air conditioning worked well. We didn't go on safari with them since we had already booked that elsewhere before we arrived.

Priyankara and the team here were awesome. They helped us sort buses, picked us up and dropped us off from the stops and supplied us with fresh coconuts on arrival! We also got to see spotted dear in their backyard.

Our stay at Nehansa Resort was outstanding. We were made to feel at home from the very beginning with complimentary coconuts. The service was perfect. Priyankara brought us on a complimentary tour of the lake where we saw various species of birds and at sunset we saw thousands of bats flying out their tree for the night. The room was air conditioned and possibly the most comfortable room we have stayed in since arriving in Sri Lanka. We arranged a safari through Priyankara aswell which turned out to be spectacular for a very reasonable price.

Greay services, amazing staff and a very nice manager. Everyone was always ready to help us with every necessity and to give useful advice on what to do. They booked the safari for us and prepared tje food for the ride. We really appreciated the manager's honesty: when we were booking we asked directly for two safaris, following some advice that we received from other people saying "one is not enough". He suggested to book one safari and then decide afterwards for the second one, which was not necessary for us saving us money against his profit, and leaving us very satisfied.

The couple who was supposed to come on the safari with us quitted at the last minute. Despite this was clearly not the owner's fault, we were disappointed in seeing the price increase at the last minute because we would have been alone. It would be better to have a "cancellation fee" for events like this, to make the responsible people pay.

We had an amazing time at this place! The owners are very friendly, the whole place is in very good shape and they have built a lovely garden which looks like a green oase. They showed us a family deer and organized an incredible Safari for us plus an excursion to see the bats at the lake. Our guide knew all the animals and even shared the German names with us. We can totally recommend this place :)

Very clean rooms Great location

Location, Staff, food, facilities everything is so so good. The staff were so lovely and welcomed us with a tender coconut welcome drink even though we reached there a little late. We ordered dinner, and without hesitation, they prepared it for us. I travelled with elderly family members with so many dietary restrictions, they accompanied us with smiles. Sampath our chef there is amazing and so humble. The whole place is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden full of flowers. Overall, we started our Srilanka trip in this place, they have us a positive vibration and a good vibe for our entire trip. I strongly recommend this place whether you travel alone or with your family. Additionally, book a safari with them, great drivers are available to make your Yala Safari memorable trip as well.

The hotel is nice, the room is cute, the bed was comfortable. We really liked the free pick up service from our bus stop, we could take advantage of their tuk tuk to go in the city, or to see bats and other animals in the evening for a fair price (some guests get the tour for free, but we didn't book any Yala safari with them). They still gave us some food very early in the morning before our safari with another company. The staff is very nice.

Fantastic host! Super friendly and helpful. Organised Safaris in Yala and Bundala National Park for us, made us tea and cake before the Safari (even though it started at 4:30 am), picked us up at the bus stop, and drove us around the lake, showing us lots of birds, bats and a crocodile. The room was nice, clean and comfortable too. Highly recommend staying there.

Clean Staff Price

A great place to stay near Yala. The whole team there were so helpful and friendly. Priyankara contacted us before we arrived with useful information and was then always available via WhatsApp. He took us out to see bats the evening that we arrived and also arranged a great Yala safari tour. The place is very peaceful, the food is great and plentiful and the room has everything you need. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was super attentive and helped us organize our whole trip, including Safari, pickup from the coast and helping us finding a van to Ella. pricing was super fair 10/10 recommend!

Exceptional customer service. Very quickly after booking the manager Priyankara maessaged me to introduce himself. He provided very helpful information or how to travel there from Ella including bus times, bus licence plate number and his friend was ticket guy on the bus so he also told me where to get off the bus. Priyankara then met me at the bus stop in his tuktuk and toot me back to Nehansa. I was given a welcome coconut drink on arrival in the beautiful garden where they even have wild spotted deer that they feed. That evening Priyankara took me on a complimentary tuktuk ride to the lake to see the fruit bats at dusk which was cool. Priyankara arranged my whole day safari with driver Asanka who was lovely and definitely recommend. Yala is a big park and the jeeps go in different directions so you sometimes feel you have the park to yourself. Picnic breakfast and lunch included. Lahiru -staff member at Nehansa is super nice and friendly. The day after my safari Priyankara and Lahiru were amazing and went above and beyond to help me. I had found a street dog at the lake with a bad case of mange. Priyankara arranged for a vet to come to Nahansa and with Lahiru we went looking for the dog. For just £5 the vet came out, gave the dog two mange injections and a worm tablet! Thankyou! Great place to stay and excellent customer service all round. Highly recommended

I was travelling alone so had to pay for a private jeep. This may be out some peoples budget so would be nice if there was some jeep sharing options between guest houses

If I could rate this place a 12/10 then I would. Easily the nicest place we have stayed in sri lanka. Immaculately clean. Excellent ac. Very comfortable bed. Stable wifi. The staff are simply wonderful. So friendly and so helpful, the highlight in an already 5* room. We were advised on which buses to take, and taken to a from the bus stops for free on a tuktuk, organized the safari, took us to a nice restaurant, available at all times. We were greeted with a cold king coconut on arrival which was a great treat! They prepared breakfast/snacks to take on the safari and made sure we had time for coffee in the morning before we left. When we returned from the safari we were provided with fresh mango! The safari was incredible - I'm not sure if the driver/guide is the one who always does the safaris from this hotel but he was amazing!! He was so knowledgable and could spot wildlife at great distance. He was so patient and allowed lots of time for appreciating the wildlife

The only negative thing I could comment on was the shower pressure which wasn't amazing - otherwise i couldn't fault it!

Everything. I like everything about this resort .It's easy to write a review of this resort- excellent,excellent,excellent.. from the behaviour of the staff to the facilities in the resort,we can't find even a teeny tiny mistake. First,they welcome you with tender coconut water which is so warm.. rooms and toilets are clean, the staff are very supportive and the overall ambience is a soothing one. Everything comes at an affordable price too..

Probably the best hotel during our holiday in Srí Lanka. Owner of hotel since the morning texted us to ensure that our stay will be fully prepared. Tuk tuk was waiting for us on bus station, we had delicious dinner, breakfast and lunch. Our trip to safari was ensured and could not have been easier. We appreciate the friendly approach of staff and the unbelivable combination of low price and quality of provided services. If you will go to Tissamaharama, go there and you will not regret.

the walls are not sound insulated, I was listening to a podcast at room level when my neighbor knocked on by door and asked me to stop it, since she could her every word and was annoyed.

A great place to stay. Very clean and everyone is very friendly. The food was very tasty! At the arrival day we were at a small lake watching bats, thanks for the tip! The Yala safari tour was organized for us and it was great. We enjoyed it very much and recommend the accommodation to everyone!

The accommodation was perfect and incredible value for money. We were welcomed with cold face towels and a cold coconut drink. They organised a private safari for us at Yala national park which we enjoyed very much. They packed and provided us a lot of food for the Safari which was much appreciated. We couldn't be happier with this accommodation.

Incredible welcome, cold towels and fresh King coconut on arrival. Instructions for our safari were communicated clearly and it was obvious that the resort were well versed in 1 night safari stays! (Packed lunch & breakfast for our safari, and coffee at 4:15am before hand!) Room was very clean and had all necessary facilities, free water bottles in the room. Resort has a generator for when the power goes out…lifesaver! They even let us borrow their bikes to go and see the fruit bats take flight in the evening.

The only downside about the property was the Wi-Fi which wasn’t very strong and a bit inconsistent from our room.
