About this house rental

Situated in Fremont, this lovely house for R 5,969 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The Boutique Chic Garden Retreat is a garden oasis in the heart of Seattle. It is quiet, private and surrounded by trees. Built in 1909, this 1400 sq foot house has all the craftsman details that make these old houses so attractive, but at the same time it has been completely brought up to date, and decorated with a chic flair that you don’t see in many vacation rentals. It is a stunning mix of old and new. As amazing as the house is, its location in the city is equally outstanding. It has a walk score of 90, and isn’t more than 5 miles from all the attractions you would want to see in Seattle. They don’t call Fremont “The Center of the Universe” for nothing. It's close to everything! Whether you are in town with your family, friends, for business, or just want to escape by yourself this is the place for you. Do you have a special occasion or a special somebody you want to celebrate? Come to the Boutique Chic Garden Retreat , and make memories to last a life time. It is the best of both worlds, a exquisite mix of old and new. WHY CHOOSE THE BOUTIQUE CHIC GARDEN RETREAT OVER OTHERS? The Boutique Chic Garden Retreat is the most perfect spot for special occasions and relaxing getaways. It is fun and full of life. It exudes happiness and joy everywhere you look. Whether you are lounging on the private patio surrounded by flower gardens and huge neighborhood trees, conversing with friends by candlelight around the dining room table, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, reading by the fire in the living room, or getting a good night sleep on a firm bed in our air conditioned rooms, your heart will be full. The Kitchen- is small but user friendly. It has new appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and down draft electric stove. There is a rolling, stainless island and bar stools that can be used as a prep station or working office. The kitchen sits between the dining room and the solarium/mud room that leads to the outdoor dining and BBQ area. This makes for ease of grilling and enjoying a relaxing summer dinner on the patio, and access and openness with the dining room. You will be torn between wanting to eat out or cook at home. Everything matches, the utensils are GOLD and the kitchen is fully stocked. Cook a holiday meal, we have matching baking dishes and serving platter, red and white wine glasses, champagne glasses, martini glasses and shaker. Outdoor Patio Area- is out through the kitchen and back door. The patio area is completely fenced in for privacy, and is surrounded by trees, planted gardens, and pots brimming with flowers. This area pretty much gets full day sun, but the trees and umbrella provide shade too. Take in the morning sun with a cup of coffee, enjoy lunch under the umbrella, or post dinner conversation in our Chic Garden Retreat by the gas fire pit, or sit out after dark and enjoy the lit up garden under the stars. The climate is mild in Seattle, so the patio can be used 9 months out of the year. Before and after summer can be a little cooler but it is still a rewarding place to hang out. Just light up the gas fire pit and enjoy the seasons. Bedrooms- There are 2 bedrooms, each has a queen bed, closet, luggage rack and hooks and hangers. The rooms are small like many old houses, but have everything you need. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, air conditioning units and fun art on the walls. There is also an iron and ironing board in one of the closets. The Living Room- Is a very comfortable space to unwind, looking out at all the pretty trees. You would never know you are in the heart of a big city. There is a gas fireplace, couch and 2 very comfortable swivel chairs that sit in front of the fire, one on each side of the fire place. The lights are on a dimmer switch, so turn down the lights and relax at the end of your day in front of the fire. The Dining Room- Is so fun! It has a dining room table with 8 chairs, and parrot wall paper that matches the chairs. The lights dim, the service wear matches, the dining chairs are comfortable, utensils are gold, and red and white wine glasses and champagne glasses provided. Before dinner enjoy a happy hour in the swivel chairs looking out at the trees. The dining room lives between the living room and kitchen. The bathroom- Is in the back of the house off the kitchen and back bedroom. It is stocked with fine Turkish towels. Unfortunately there is no bathtub, SHOWER only. The front porch- is a nice shady place to sit and watch the happenings of the neighborhood. You are surrounded by trees, so although you are out in the open it is still quite private. The basement- has just been updated in 2021. In the basement is an open floor plan with washer and dryer behind a curtain. It is a two room open floor plan. As you enter the basement is a room with a small desk/ table area for somebody needing to work from "home" with privacy. From the desk you can see the tv too. In the other room is a Hide-a-bed couch with a full size hide-a-bed, tv (the same tv you can see from office), dresser, coffee table , and big bean bag chairs. The basement is just over 400 square feet. Parking- Parking is not a problem here. There is always parking right out front or across the street, and it is free. WHAT IT MEANS TO BE LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE! It means that you are 2 -3 blocks from the bus stop to downtown, chain grocery stores, neighborhood market, breweries, restaurants, retail, a big park with a playground, and the Burke Gilman trail. With a walk score of 90 you know everything is real close. You are located in the middle of Fremont and Ballard, a couple of the hottest neighborhoods in the city, with everything to offer. Between Fremont and Ballard there are numerous James Beard award winning restaurants, like Walrus and Carpenter, Rock Creek, Staple and Fancy to name a few. Between the 2 neighborhoods we have more than a dozen breweries, and one block away is Hales, the oldest brewery in Seattle now that Red Hook is gone. Not to mention some of the hottest breweries are right here like Fremont Brewing, Reubens and Stoup, all with hopping patios especially on a beautiful weekend. There are great music venues too. Check out the Tractor Tavern, Nectar, High Dive or the Fremont Abby where you can go to MOTH.There is great shopping ranging anywhere from multiple grocery stores to boutique stores of every kind, all the way up to car shopping. There are gyms, yoga studios, bikes, and everything else you can imagine with in walking distance. Go to the Zoo and rose garden (1m), swim in or run around Greenlake (2 m), ride Lime bike on Burke Gilman Trail (2blocks) to Gas Works Park (1.5 m) while watching the boats come in from or go out to the Sound, or ride your lime Bike on Burke Gilman toward ballard and go to the Locks (2m from house), or keep going past the Locks and go out to Golden Gardens Beach Park and watch the sunset (4.5m from house). Had my sister's bachelorette in Seattle and this was perfectly her style so it was a nice quite spot for us to gather. Think of getting box fans because they are bulky to travel with and I love the white noise to sleep.

We had a great time. The communication with Alycia was very easy and really helpful with ideas for eating out and sights to see. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed Seattle to the full. The house is comfortable and great to have a secluded garden. There is a bus stop across the road so super convenient. Recommend - Pikes market, Space Needle/Gardens, Ballard lock, Gasworks Park, Bainbridge Island wandering around Fremont and watch the Seattle Mariners (10 bucks a ticket and they won!). Food was good - liked Hooligans and Ha! (for Mexican breakfast).
