The room was perfect to accomodate our family, it was simple but comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a 1-2 night stay, perhaps even for longer stays. And waking up facing a castle is always a great plus.

Very simple, just a bed and a kitchenette, good value for money.

Animals were allowed, in shaded spaces.

The surroundings where beautiful, located a short drive from center and outdoor recreation area.

We arrived to Landvetter airport and was visiting a local art dealer as our first stop on trip. It was very close to the studio of the artist and seemed like an ok place to take a quick shower and get some sleep after a long trip before driving to our final destination. Upon arrival, following the the Google coordinates provided in reservation I ended up outside a assisted living facility. Staff kindly directed me towards Hilliden and and was equally surpriced at the address provided. With some help from kind locals I managed to find the old castle and the "folk school" campus area. There was no sign at parking lot, nor on the building and campus area. I spoke to numerous students that had no idea there was a hostel on site. After consulting every person on site, walking amongst all the buildings (that all looked in need of maintenance) for well over 40 minutes and reading every sign and plaque without finding any clues and failing to get thorough to anyone over the phone I finally decided to pack up my 5yo in the car and drive all the way back to Landvetter airport to stay at the airport hotel before continuing our journey to Skane the following day.
