Nihi Kai #403: Newly Remodeled in 2023, Full AC, Steps to Beach!
About this condo rental
Located in Poipu, this charming condo for R 5,253 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. An ideal location in sunny Poipu Beach Kauai, Nihi Kai Villas Resort is just steps away from the Poipu shoreline and a little over five minute walk to world-famous body surfing Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park. Unit 403 is just over 300 feet from the shore with a gorgeous view of the Pacific from the private lanai. The two bedroom, two bath condo can accommodate up to 4 people. From 2020 onward, the condo features full house air conditioning for your comfort. From January 2023 onwards the condo has a completely brand new kitchen and living room upstairs. The condo is fully ready for use with towels, bedding, kitchen supplies (no food of course) and a full kitchen (stove, oven, sink, fridge etc and everything you need to prepare and eat food), beach towels/chairs/toys etc. The condo has a king bed (bedroom one), two twins (bedroom two). There are two full bathrooms connected one to each bedroom. The deck/patio has a view of the palm trees and the grounds of the condo site but more importantly, the ocean! Table and chairs to sit on the deck and enjoy the breeze or dinner and the sunset. The patio table upfront can accommodate four adults for dinner. There is a full-size washer and dryer in the unit (hallway closet off master bedroom) to freshen up your clothes or towels of the unit throughout the week. There is no daily maid service but for stays in excess of three weeks a freshen up clean will be provided mid stay, complementary. You may purchase this same service (single mid stay cleaning) for $200 on shorter stay if you wish. The BBQ is just about 50 steps from the unit and covered so it's convenient even if it's raining a little. The BBQ is gas so you just turn a knob and soon it's hot! Most people make a trip early in the vacation to Costco or the grocery store and buy enough food for their time at the condo. Nihi Kai, the property the condo is located on, has a gorgeous pool within steps of the ocean and tennis courts for all to use. Nihi Kai boasts a well manicured property maintained by a full time staff. We love the site because my family goes on walks together several times a day in Poipu and our condo is just steps from a number of good "starting points" for a walk. - Full kitchen - Washer/Dryer This property is within Kauai’s VDA (Visitor Destination Area). This means you can rest assured knowing you are staying at a property complying with all local laws and regulations. This is a two bedroom, two bathroom condo. There are four separate lanais (patios) for your private use. The square footage includes lanai outdoor living space as listed.

The unit was beautiful and as advertised. The area is located a short walk to Brenakee beach and just a short drive to so many other hotspots. If your coming to Kauai for the 1st time, heed the warnings and get some food and drinks to enjoy at the resort. the grills and pavilion area make for a great spot to cook out and avoid the ridiculous cost of eating out all the time. The grouns are beautiful and are kept up nicely by Tim and his crew who really made our stay more welcoming. The unit was supplied by everything you woild need and then some. The owner, Steven was very helpful and easy to contact and was very prompt getting back to us almost immediately. The only suggestion we would have is to have a shade to have an option to cover the sliders in the living room area. We got married on shipwreck beach while we were there on 11-11-23 and cant even begin to explain what an amazing experience this trip was. Kauai is the most beautiful island we have ever been on.

This modern condo was spacious and comfortable for the four adults in our party. The interior is decorated with iconic views of Kauai, and the air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us cool. It has all the amenities of home. The grounds are beautiful and the pool steps away (no noise from the pool). The Poipu area has many great restaurants and shops, and it was central to everything on the island. The owner was very prompt answering questions. Highly recommend staying here.

The apartment is perfect for a family vacation. The bedrooms downstairs allowed the adults to hangout after the kids went to bed, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. We also enjoyed using the beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and sand toys everyday - it made going to Poipu Beach easy and fun. Speaking of beaches, Poipu is great for small children with a little protected cove area and sea turtles swimming all around. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo was just as pictured and was extremely well stocked with everything you could think of. We really enjoyed having the bedrooms downstairs. We could keep them cool for sleeping and have the upstairs air conditioner off and enjoy the fresh ocean air. The pool was never crowded and a nice afternoon break. The complex was quiet and well maintained. The location was perfect for us. We spent many days hiking on the island and were also able to enjoy beach days by the condo. Poipu beach is about a 5 minute walk and Shipwreck beach is about a 20 min walk through a nice greenbelt. We hope to return someday!

Very nice unit, only problem was sliding doors do not lock so potential for break ins . Also, beds were way to soft.

A beautiful and very clean place with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. The decor of the condo is wonderful and captures the aloha spirit of Kauai. The rental is steps away from Brennecke’s and Poipu beaches. My family and I will always remember our time spent at Nihi Kai!

House was very well furnished and steps to the beaches. Master bathroom shower was amazing, as were the views from the balcony. The kitchen had everything you could ask for to cook meals. And the host was super easy to work with, plus the self check in process was a breeze. Thanks also for the beach chairs, beach towels, and toys for kids!

This is a nice unit in a good location close to Poipu beach. Easy to walk to beach and restaurants. Adequately stocked and comfortable beds. On the negative side, sliding glass doors and screens are in poor condition and are very hard to open, close and lock. Screens would not stay in the tracks.
Also be aware of ongoing construction right in front of the unit with chain link fencing and heavy equipment right in front of the balcony. This significantly detracted from the enjoyment of the ocean view and grounds. I was told fencing would be gone well before the date of my visit but that was not the case and it doesn’t look like the work is anywhere close to completion. If views are an important factor in choice of a condo I would not recommend this one until work has been completed, otherwise you will be disappointed.

The inside of the condo is just as pictured--very lovely. Comfy beds, great location, very nice pool, and great communication with owner. He is so very kind. Please do ask the owner about the construction site right outside the back lanai which is in between the condo and view of the ocean. It did interfere a bit with our stay. Again, the location on the South Shore is great! We had a wonderful time in Kauai!

Our family had a great stay at Stephen’s condo. We loved being able to see and hear the ocean, and our kids loved the pool. The kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated the small extras like games, laundry soap, and sand toys. Highly recommend.

The location is perfect for walking to the beach parks as well as nearby shopping areas. The recently remodeled kitchen/ living area is well appointed and decorated. Very comfortable for working / relaxing before enjoying a day out and about the island. Would stay here again!

Beautiful condo with everything we needed. Kitchen well stocked. We appreciated having laundry and dishwashing detergent available. Backpack beach-chairs and umbrella are so nice. Must be ok with stairs. Bedrooms downstairs are quiet and the king bed and pillows are so comfortable. We didn’t use the twin beds. AC worked well. Nice area for walks and short walk to the beach. We saw sea turtles and monk seals on the beach each day. The only downside was the area the lanai looks over is currently undergoing some type of plumbing construction. This really impacted the view.

This was a terrific place. Proximity to beach and sunsets were ideal, just a two minute stroll. The condo was fully outfitted and having air conditioning was key in the bedrooms. Games on the patio overlooking the ocean and swimming pool for later in the day we’re wonderful. Great for family with two adult kids.

Keiki and Poipu beach (kids swimming and snorkeling, then surfing farther down) and the hotels (for outdoor lunch with ocean views) are just on the other side of grassy Poipu Beach Park. A great spot. We will be back.

The property was clean and functional. The only issues were the lack of a hotel-type safe to store valuables and the beds in the second bedroom were child size. Other than that, the unit was well equipped and in a convenient location. We would stay there again.

As some reviewers have mentioned, the property is even better than the photos. Everything was clean and had everything we needed for our trip. Walking distance to beaches and restaurants. Easy parking right next to the building. Check-in and check-out process was flawless. Even though we visited during the summer, the temperature inside was not bad at all. We didn't have to run the A/C the entire time, but when we did it cooled off the rooms quickly. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great stay - condo was perfect and Stephen was very responsive and easy to work with. We loved the location with an easy walk to the beach, and the condo had everything we needed. While we had a great week and would absolutely recommend the condo, there is an occasional sewage smell while sitting on the lanai. We were always on the go so it didn't affect us much. Overall highly recommend!
