Nach einer Rundumerneuerung des Objektes würden wir gern wieder dorthin fahren.

Die Lage etwas außerhalb, dafür aber am Fuße der Berge und mit einem fantastischem Blick über Franschhook einschließlich Sonnenuntergang hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir sind von dort auch bis in den Ort gelaufen, ca. 40 Minuten. Der Pool war sauber und lud zu einem Bad ein. Ein Glas Wein am Abend bei Sonnenuntergang mit Blick auf die Lichter von Franschhoek kann man am Pool auch gut genießen. Das Frühstück war gut, frisch und ausreichend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Objekt hat viel Potential, es ist leider in die Jahre gekommen und hat dringend eine Rundumerneuerung nötig. Das Mobiliar sollte ebenfalls erneuert werden und könnte heller sein. Bei unserer Ankunft waren Spinnweben an einigen Stellen im Zimmer und eine Staubschicht in einem Schrank. Nach einem Hinweis wurde es teilweise gereinigt. Auf der Terrasse standen ein paar wenige Tische und Stühle, die durch zeitweise starken Windböen umgeworfen wurden. Aufgehoben oder gesichert hat sie niemand.

Friendly staff and beautiful venue.

Due to bad maintenance, the fireplace caused an incident that could have ended badly if it wasn't for our preventive measures. No follow up by management / owners left a sour taste in our mouths.

The decor is very old fashioned. Needs an upgrade. A vintage theme will be better The stuffed animals are a bit much Not politically correct in view of cruelty issues?

we just slept, read and went out for meals at night, very relaxed and quiet

Location beautiful if you want to escape and get off grid for a few days

In winter they need more bedding and a gas heater it is VERY COLD and only a small log fire to warm the place up, a gas heater would give instant heat while the fire gets going. Definitely needs more duvets too

difficult to find the cottage. breakfast was very average. staff was nice. the lake side cottages could do with a revamp

We loved it, and are already planning to come back as soon as we can.

We stayed at Hadida Lodge - the view from our room was exquisite, we could see the entire valley over our morning coffee (and evening wine). The lady who managed our booking was really accommodating and organised for us to collect our keys earlier in the day (and our room was already ready, which was a bonus we didn't expect!). The staff who welcomed us when we arrived were super friendly and professional. Breakfast was delicious! Overall, we had the best time - 10/10 would recommend.

Our only gripe was that we didn't have any hot water in our room. When we arrived, we noticed and mentioned that the geyser seemed to be overflowing. They mentioned they'd looked into it. By the time we got home and tried to shower later that evening, there was no hot water, nor in the morning. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it was a bit chilly!

We had a wonderful one day stay .

The View of Franschoek is spectacular . The breakfast was also excellent . The room with its on-suite bathroom is spacious and bed was very comfortable .The property is very close to the town and with its wine tasting and restaurant also close by . The staff is also very friendly and helpful. This accommodation comes highly recommended.

The Forest Suite is absolutely amazing. Incredible location and views.

The only tiny issue was that there was not much hot water, so you end up having a like warm bath.

Superb

- Entrance to a public balcony which has the most fantastic view. - The room is very large with high ceilings. - The shared area for breakfast is very grand. - They have a generator so no load shedding.

- Pool not heated. - There is noise from machinery on the wine field, which is dug up earth/not as pretty as the wine field it once was. I can look past that but it takes away a little from what is otherwise an incredible venue and place.

Breakfast was well executed. Check in was friendly and fair.

The property is very run down and needs much maintenance and care. The pillows are unacceptable. The TV never worked, despite my asking for it to be fixed. There is no accessible plug for a hair dryer near a mirror. The amenities are not acceptable - i.e no shower cap provided, no body lotion. Only one hand towel and poor-quality bath towels were provided. The place needs a very good clean.

beautiful stay, close to, and overlooking Franschhoek city

majestic main building, overlooking the valley of Franschhoek. view from the pool, looking over the game reserve with ostriches, zebras and gazelles.

ubers were difficult to get to our lodge. hotel staff was very helpful and called us a taxi. we used this taxi service multiple times afterwards, which worked good. the road from the gate towards lodge is approximately 5 mins, which any car can easily manage (toyota aygo).

Brilliant at all levels

stunning property. we stayed in the bungalow over looking the grounds. staff super friendly and helpful. Felt like a real luxury treat.
