Everything was just perfect: location was amazing and the host was the sweetest woman ever!! I cannot recomend this place enough!

The view was amazing and we loved the cycladic style with it’s rustic charm. The location was perfect, since the area was quiet but yet within walking distance to the village (If you do’t mind walking upwards) and beach is just in front of the suites. There are nice restaurants and coffe shops within short walking distance. The ferry port also close, but transfer was included which we really appreciated.

Note that the equipment in the kitchen area was very limited (in case you are planning to prepare your own meals). The beds could have been more confortable.

We absolutely loved our stay and here’s why: - stunning location: a stones throw from a lovely quiet beach, 15 mins walk from the chora, 10 to the port - hosts were absolutely great - cannot recommend the BBQ night more highly: some of the best food we had on the island and a lovely evening with music, all reasonably priced! - the actual accommodation is the best “basic” accom we’ve ever stayed in: super clean, super thoughtfully built, super beautiful and we cannot stress this more!!! book and you will NOT regret it’

if there was anything we would improve on it’s this: - fridge can hum a bit loudly - we would have preferred fluffier pillows, we found the ones we had a bit uncomfy - we would have loved some blankets for outside and the bed for the evening as we were staying in sept

For us this was a perfect stay. Beautifully designed little bungalows - simple and stylish with everything you need including a smart bathroom. Lovely shady outdoor space with amazing views and steps from the beach. So relaxing. Add to this friendly hosts, great breakfast options and the beauty of Ios. Just oerfect thank you.

We spent a great time in PETRA HOLIDAY VILLAGE. The place is perfect for vaction, calm, clean, decorated tastefully in greek style, with nice terrace and close to the beach. There is a bar at location where you can have a good breakfast, have a coffee or drink. The port, restaurants, shops are just few minutes walk. The hostess is very kind, helpful and always smiling, so You really can feel relaxed and enjoy this paradise 😊 We hope to come back there one day 😊

Everything was perfect

Especially the location: convenient, ten minutes walk from the port of Ios, on the hill opposite the Chora. The structure is organized as a simple traditional Cycladic village, from quite sea level to upper hill. It is well harmonized with the surrounding nature and does not resemble an hotel. The view of the village and the gulf from the windows or terraces of the houses, especially in the evening, repays a year of work. You can even see the full moon rise from behind the hill on which Ios village rests. Ioanna's courtesy is noteworthy. He has always taken care of our needs with care and professionalism. A gastronomic detail, I was forgetting: we also went to Santorini and Athene, where we ate in dozens of places, but I ate the best Greek salad, for quality and quantity, right here at Petra village. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at Petra. The property consists of small individual houses on the foot of a hill overlooking the beautiful bay of Gialos. The houses themselves are decorated so beautifully, on one hand using natural stone and wood in cycladic style, but with a contemporary feel at the same time. Ioanna was super helpful and always put us in a relaxed mood! The location is excellent at the edge of Gialos beach, that you can almost roll out of bed onto! A few minutes walk takes you to the island's best selection of restaurants at the port. While Chora (old town) is a bit of a walk, and a steep uphill one too, there's generally not so much of a reason to go there more than a couple of times. Yes it's pretty, but the best restaurants are down by the water. The best beach for us on the whole island was Tzamaría, a very small secluded bay a few minutes walk westwards from the property with crystal clear waters. Loretzaina was also wonderful for sunsets if you have a car.
