Ideal for family reunions and weddings. The arch and benches shown in the pictures is a beautiful area to hold a ceremony. We do have an additional fee to hold an event on our property. Our lodge can sleep 26. We are centrally located between Cortez and Telluride offering a wide variety of restaurants, shopping, museums, National Parks and skiing. Only 20 minutes from McPhee Reservoir, one of the largest bodies of water in Colorado! Though easily accessible from Highway 145, this cabin is nestled in the woods and has a very private feel. Imagine exploring thousands of acres of national forest directly from the property, filled with pine, oak, spruce, aspen and abounding with wildlife. Watch the Dolores River wind through the valley. Fish on the river or hike up one of many nearby trails. Take a day trip to Telluride and enjoy the free Gondola in one of Colorado's most pristine alpine mountain towns (40 min away). Take another day trip to some of the best preserved ancient native american ruins in North America at Mesa Verde National Park (45 min away). Or just enjoy the mountain air and relax in a quintessential Colorado setting at the cabin. Please be prepared, if you are coming in the winter, for snowy and icy road conditions. We have a very long, steep and narrow driveway. Four wheel drive and/or heavy duty chains are required if you are coming in the winter in order to make it up our driveway. If you have at least one four wheel drive vehicle in your group, you can use that as a shuttle and park the rest of your vehicles down below. Thanks for your understanding, we don't want you to get stuck!

We were so happy with our stay! The house was very comfy and well appointed. It was well stocked with everything we needed- pots, pans, dishware, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, etc. I have stayed at other rental houses that supply a very limited amount of these items, so I appreciated having enough to last our whole trip. As you can tell from the photos, this is a great house for a large group. We had plenty of space. The large dining table was big enough to seat our full group of 11 people for Thanksgiving dinner (and we could have sat more people at the adjacent counter stools in the kitchen). The house is not modern and shows plenty of signs of wear, but everything was functional. The best part about the rental is the outdoor space. We had several kids who loved climbing in the tree house, playing in the stick fort, sledding down the hills, exploring the wedding venue, and watching turkeys visit the yard. Our group was not there for a wedding, but I can say that I would highly recommend the rental as a wedding venue! Very picturesque and the benches and wedding arch seemed perfect for an outdoor wedding. Thank you!

This was an amazing place to stay and get married, especially the second week of October. The cabin gave an amazing view to see the leaves change and in full color. They also stocked it very well overall. The wedding site was also incredible, the walk up was absolutely stunning and my favorite part! Maybe if you’re nervous about driving in the mountains any, walk up/down the driveway and it’ll make you feel better :) besides the driveway the drive there was absolutely perfect and not intimidating at all for those of us from the flat lands.

My now husband and I chose this cabin for our intimate wedding with our immediate family and closest friends, and could not be more happy with our stay!! We had 22 people staying in the cabin for 5 days, and had 38 total at the wedding, and there was plenty of room for everyone! The ceremony site was out of this world with colors and completely stunning - it even rained a day or two before the wedding day and was perfectly fine getting up there luckily! We took three cars back and forth to get everyone up to the ceremony site on wedding day. The house is STOCKED with more than we thought - toilet paper, towels to shower with, so much coffee! etc., and had tons to use in the kitchen as well. The wifi was good enough to receive text messages, but phone calls were pretty spotty. For a wedding weekend, we were totally okay with that - but a work trip probably would be tough! The only "downfall" if you want to call it that, is the night of the wedding the septic tank over filled and we had to call the property manager to take care of it. They came out super quick even being late at night, and completely fixed the problem along with cleaning the basement for us! Outstanding service and we're so grateful this didn't interrupt our wedding fun! We highly recommend this cabin for your intimate wedding or just a family fun weekend! So much to explore and just amazing views in the backyard, we are so happy with everything!!

We stayed here for a week in August during a family reunion. We had 27 people including 15 children. It was spacious and comfortable enough for all of us, it had plenty of room for all our food (3 refrigerators), and we really enjoyed being here. The weather felt nice enough to be outside, and it was quiet and secluded. There are neighbors but you don’t really hear or see them. We enjoyed watching the deer, hummingbirds, and chipmunks that show up around the property. There is even a small tree house in the woods where the kids enjoyed playing. If you plan to come with small children, be advised: The pictures are a little deceiving; the area is not as flat as the pictures make it look. There are steep drop offs and the house is on a hill. You pretty much have to supervise the children the whole time they are outside. Also, maybe it was in the listing, but if not, there is no air conditioner. The temperature is much lower in the mountains so it was cold at night and in the early mornings. But the afternoons can get pretty warm. It wasn’t unbearable, but outside was sometimes cooler than inside.

This cabin has so much space! It's fully stocked and beautifully decorated! The views are breathtaking, the air is fresh and just what we needed! We rented the wedding site as well for our small mountain wedding and it was absolutely perfect! Parking is limited but we shuttled guests up the driveway from the pull out at the bottom and everything went great! We hope to come back for vacations in the future!

For folks looking for an intimate wedding experience this location is great. We slept ~25ish people and had multiple beds to spare. The wedding site does require driving for elderly guests. The road up is a little dusty so it's ideal to drive up, but multiple folks walked up so it's doable if people aren't super concerned.

House was in a wonderful location and close to other tourist spots, sound of the stream was soothing and loved watching the humming birds, kids had a great time playing outside and they enjoyed spending time around the fire pit. Property was clean and well stocked. One suggestion for the owner, in the basement where the carpet joins the tile, nails were poking out, and I stepped on one of them.
