Situated in Edisto Beach, this charming house for R 8,555 per night is a great choice for your next trip. *** PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING!!!*** Welcome to "La Buena Vista ". Located at 209 Palmetto Blvd Edisto Beach, SC. This spacious tri-level beach home has AMAZING Ocean/Beach views from every way you turn!! Featuring 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. La Buena Vista is clean, updated, and full of newer amenities and comforts of home. You will love whipping up dinner in the recently renovated kitchen! When you are ready to enjoy a day on the beach, you are seconds to the sand! Conveniently located between beach access 2 and 3! You have 2 decks to enjoy the views from. Enjoy watching the seabirds fly overhead and listening to the waves crashing while you take in the sea breezes! The lower unit of this home is set up "hotel style", with 3 queen beds and a twin... and a private bathroom! It does have direct access outside via 2 doors. This is a great option for those who have trouble with stairs! Sleeps 13 in beds! Bedroom 1- King Bed, ceiling fan, TV with cable *3rd Level* Bedroom 2- Queen bed, TV with cable *2nd level* Bedroom 3- 2 Twin Beds, TV with cable *2nd level* Bedroom 4- 3 Queen & 1 twin cot (hotel style), tv with cable *Ground Level* As most all homes on Edisto, this is a SELF- Catered home. You will need to bring items of use WITH YOU. TP, Paper towels, trash bags, soaps, detergents...ETC! *The house is NOT bare, however we cannot guarantee all items each time, and starter amounts do NOT last for the duration of your stay. So come prepared please! There is a store just 5 mins down the road for supplies if you like. LINENS- for beds are not provided (Comforters and pillows are provided, as pictured), but you will need to bring sheets and pillowcases for the beds you will be using, or you can rent them from one of the linen rental services on the Island. They deliver and pick up! PETS- Non shedding *hypoallergenic* breeds are considered. We will NOT consider anything other than described here! You must email the Breed/Weight/Age/ a picture of your pet for approval BEFORE reserving. If approved, a $150 (plus tax) per pet fee will apply. All pets MUST be current on flea and tick prevention, properly monitored and contained, and are STRICTLY not allowed on any of our beds or furniture. Pets MUST be crated if left alone in the house. ABSOLUTELY NO UNAPPROVED PETS ALLOWED! If you are found to have pets that have not been approved to stay, you will be asked to leave the property and will forfeit all monies. Kitchen- This is a stocked kitchen. You should find everything you need to prepare and serve meals. Various pots/pans, dishes, glassware, silverware, knives, utensils etc. Both a Keurig and a standard style coffee maker is provided. Location- La Buena Vista is located between the 200 & 300 block of the beach. We are located on the main strip and are bordered in the rear by a secondary road (Harrelson St) GOLF CARTS- YOU CAN RENT A GOLF CART FROM ONE OF THE RENTAL COMPANIES! Grill- As of current time *2023* we have a charcoal grill in the carport area. Guests provide their own charcoal etc. The Faucet Water- This home is supplied with water that has been filtered using Reverse Osmosis and is safe for consumption. YOU GET THIS ENTIRE PROPERTY TO YOURSELF PRIVATELY AMENITIES PASSES- Guests can contact or visit the Waters Edge Cafe for Wyndham Ocean Ridge amenities passes for purchase. Offering 3 swimming pools *one indoor/heated*, a hot tub, Fitness Room, Mini Golf, playground, Tennis Courts, and beachfront cabana equipped with bathrooms, picnic tables, volleyball court, showers, and seasonal chair and umbrella rentals. This is a NON SMOKING home. Please do so outside and dispose of ALL evidence. Noise ordinance in effect at 10pm per Edisto Beach Police Dept No open fires at all per Edisto Beach Police Dept. AGE REQUIREMENT: We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under the age of 25 , unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. The reservation must be made in the adult guardian/parents name. (EXCEPTIONS MAY BE MADE FOR HONEYMOONERS). If Picture ID is requested by the host it must be provided to complete or keep a reservation. If the home is found to be under abuse during your stay. Any house parties, animals that weren't permitted, rented under false pretenses, third party rentals, or causing a nuisance to neighbors or the town in general, owner holds all rights to force the premises vacant immediately without owing you any money in refund Rental Rules & Regulations - Check in time is after 4pm EST and Check out is 10am EST. -No items should be taken from the home inventory -All debris, rubbish, and discards should be placed in dumpster. - Any overflow trash must be taken away from the property (there is a recycling center on Hwy 174) - DO NOT leave any trash outside of trash bins. (Wildlife will destroy) -All dishes should be left cleaned. - All keys should be placed back in their lockbox and home secured before your departure. - Do NOT move any large furniture items, and if you do move a small piece of furniture or any lawn furniture, you are required to place it back in it's original place before departing. - If you wash any of our linens, please wash them only with like colors. To prevent dying them. - Guests provide their own sheets sets for beds they will be using. (or rent them) - Guests provide their own toiletries and paper products, etc - Appx 12 bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths are provided for use in the home, you must wash/dry and return them as found before you depart. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THESE. IF Laundering them will create a stressful situation for you, please bring your own... or rent some from one of the companies - If the grill is a charcoal grill; do NOT use it on or move it on to any deck or porch! - Clean grill after each use. -- DO NOT PARK ON GRASSY AREAS! This home is equipped with a septic tank and the tank and drain fields can NOT be driven over or parked on. We expect our guests to leave our home neat and tidy upon their departure so that housekeeping can come in and do their job of cleaning and sanitizing! CHECKOUT TO DO LIST: 1. Place bedspreads/blankets/pillows back on to the beds they belong. 2. Clean all used dishes 3. If you have moved any furniture at all, please place it back where it belongs. 4. Remove ALL trash from house and place in the garbage bins outside. 5. Remove all opened perishables from the refrigerator. 6. Did you use any of our towels etc? If so, please wash and leave them as they were found for the next guests. 7. Return keys to lockbox and scramble code 8. Don't be too sad leaving Edisto!!!! The house was very roomy and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The main deck and upper deck offered great views of the ocean. We had no problems while there. We highly recommend the golf cart rental. It made our stay even more enjoyable.

I rarely write reviews so I hope this is helpful for others. We used to have a home on Edisto (that we rented out) so we know the houses & how a property should be managed. Melissa Beach (property manager?) was unhelpful from the start & the house is very worn down. I have pictures of all issues noted, in case the property manager tries to say otherwise in her replies. I did not bring these issues to her bc she was creepy in a txt saying how she "is normally just behind" the house. I felt uncomfortable with her-- like she was watching the house the entire time.
1. Furniture/Overall House: couches & chairs were so stained & dingy that we had to put our own sheets over them to feel somewhat comfortable sitting. There are holes throughout the house from doors slamming against walls & stairs coming apart leading up to the main bedroom.
2. HOSTEL downstairs: its described as "hotel" style when it is a hostel w/ a barely working wall air unit causing it to feel damp & musty. Downstairs is only suitable for kids & party ppl who don't care about their stay. A leaf blower was sitting on a shelf where your clothes are supposed to go.
3. Broken items: rusty pliers were supplied to "turn on" a broken outside spigot to wash off sand--it never worked. Glass door was cracked leading into the downstairs, multiple light fixtures were not affixed, & light bulbs were burnt out.
4. Kitchen:silverware was cheap, rusting & bent when cutting food

This property was amazing. We really enjoyed the stay. the only fault is that there were no sheets on the beds. We needed to read the fine print I guess. Melissa was amazing with the property management group. A couple of things though, it seems they want you to do the cleaning of the property and yet charge you. There was a long list of things they wanted you to do. Wash and dry all the linens on beds and towels and put back for next guest. Also clean everything for the next guests. It looked as though the sides of the tubs could have used some deep cleaning. Overall the property was great.

This house was amazing! The teens enjoyed having their own space downstairs. My husband and I shared the entire upper level while the younger kids hung out on the middle level. Lots of space for a relaxing vacation with beautiful beach views.

Spending 4 weeks at La Buena Vista was a great way to relax from MI winter. House was a perfect location to the beach, stores and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed the views from the upper level sun deck and sunrise from master bedroom. Accommodations supported our family and fur-family needs. Would look forward to a return trip!

Shower on main floor had a constant leak. A toilet was "wobbly". Outside hose had pliers to turn on/off. Just normal issues. Overall, I would rent again.

La Buena Vista was absolutely impressive. . This is a very large home Conveniently located to the beach access and all of the stores, including Food lion. My family and I have been vacationing in Edisto Beach for years. We have never stayed this close to the ocean. The beach access was a short distance across the street from the house. The furnishings were very nice with a fully equipped kitchen. There were quite a few areas to spend time watching television or just playing a game with the family. The homeowner, Melissa, was very accommodating and quickly returned answers to any questions I may have had. My family and I have already started planning our next trip to Edisto and cannot wait to rebook this beautiful home.

Overall the house was very nice and clean. Pictures were as described, we only had a few things that wasn’t very pleasant. The refrigerator stunk like dead fish, we had to put baking soda in both the freezer and refrigerator side to cut down the smell. Outside spigot needs replacing, they had a rusty pair of pliers to turn on and off the water. There was no lighting outside the house to eat at picnic table, at least we couldn’t find the switch for an outside light. But the overall stay was very enjoyable and I would recommend this home to anyone of my family members or friends.

I would not want the owner to think we didn't enjoy our stay, we did, there were issues however. The day we arrived we realized the batteries were dead in the TV remotes so I asked the property manager for batteries and was told to use remotes from other sets around the house ( we all know that doesn't work), my daughter went to the store and bought a pack of batteries. The 3rd day we realized the dryer was not drying the clothes, we had to run it for 3 to 4 cycles for each load. We also realized that the dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes, therefore I contacted the property manager via text and explained that the dryer was not drying and the lent screen never had any lint on it and I was worried that the line was clogged. In turn I received a very long text to teach me how to dry clothes (I'm 55 with a family of 10) after going round and round I gave up the fight. She did inform me that a new dishwasher was to be installed 6 days after my 15 day rental (wish I had known), we spent 2 weeks hand washing dishes for our 14 family members. Our son and brother climbed into the attic and realized the dryer duck work was not connected to the other end and was filling the attic insulation with lint, also found that the belt for the motor was not on. Once they fixed this we had no other dryer issues (you're welcome). The main floor tub would not drain and would fill up while showering, my husband and son-in-law fixed it when they arrived a week later. There are some serious plumbing issues with this house, the downstairs ground level smelt of raw sewage, mold, and mildew, the bathroom floor sinks in when you walk on it. The outside needs some cleaning, vines growing up the ground level windows. Lots of spiders and roaches seen on all levels.

There is plenty of parking space which is really good. There were some views of the ocean from this house which was a plus. The only downside, the house is not close to a beach access which made it difficult for my parents, who are older to get to the beach. There are a lot of stairs with this house, including a small spiral staircase to get to the lower level. Great for young adults, not so much for older adults. There are three floors, which make it nice if you have several families going; however the lower level does not seem to cool as well as the other levels.
Overall, it was a nice house.

The owner was highly responsive to all of my texts and responded with lightning speed.
As a side note, we had a hilarious adventure locating the laundry room. There’s a closet on the main/middle floor that looks like it used to have a washer/dryer, but they’re actually on the top floor in a closet with mirrored doors.

The baking pans were really rusty.
The dishes in the closet and the utensils had food on them. We had to wash everything before we used it.
The microwave was old and rusty inside, though it worked.

You need to wash and dry and put away the towels before you leave and checkout is at 10:00. This makes for a very tight departure. We wondered if the previous tenants really bothered to wash them or not.
We were charged extra money for missing pillows and a throw. If we can afford to spend over $6000 for two weeks, we really don't need to steal somebodies pillows! Obviously the manager was confused but we got tired of arguing with her about it.
For the price it really could be better.

Lots of space and great location
House was good. Had lots of space and location was a plus. We did encounter a few issues but not worth to contact property manager at that point. Oven was extremely dirty, shower in middle did not drain properly, pressure in showers was an issue when 2 or more showers were in use. Several light bulbs were bad and outside lacked any working lights (understand turtle situation but no working lights makes it difficult). Refrigerator needs urgent update, freezer barely makes ice and there’s frost accumulation. Fridge side is missing some side shelves and that is kind of needed. Kitchen needs more glasses and review of appliances, blender was a no use option. Overall good experience but just leaving these comments hoping owners can update things that can be missed if not informed.

My family of 4 had a great time. The ocean was too cold for us to get in and play, but the walks along the beach and fresh seafood at the island restaurants made up for it. We will be back. It was a lovely time. We did a day trip to Charleston and one to Savannah as well. Recommend this house as we had plenty of room to spread out.

Great location for our beach trip
The house was as advertised and only a short walk to the public beach access. We had four adults and four children and the layout worked well for us. The older boys loved staying downstairs. We really enjoyed our time at Edisto.

Great Family Vacation!
My family and I had another great vacation week at Edisto Beach! The house was large, with plenty of room for everyone! We were very comfortable all week long. The beach was just a short, easy walk across the street, and the grocery store was just around the block, actually within walking distance! The kitchen was well stocked, there were TVs in each bedroom, the house had WiFi, and the bathrooms were nice. We enjoyed our week in this house and look forward to returning next summer!
