There was nothing wrong

One of the best places I've stayed in in all my travels. You get off the bus, pass a coffee shop, observe the fortress above, make a right turn at the corner and there you are- a perfect location in the old town just by the bus station, close to a supermarket, a bakery, restaurants, shops and the sites of the old town. The room was spotless, modern and quiet with water, snacks and other little treats. Vangelis, the owner, was great. From the moment we met him we knew we'd enjoy staying at Onar Pension. He greeted us with a map and so much information about restaurants and things to see. He carried our bags up the stairs for us and even arranged with us to carry our bags down upon our departure. We were sorry to leave Nafplio, a lovely city enhanced by our stay at Onar. A bit of advice about travel: for a nice beach go to Tolo which is a short bus ride away. We went by bus to Mycenae but in late September there seems to be one bus each day leaving Nafplio at 9:30 and leaving Mycenae at noon. This allows approximately two hours for the site (including the Treasury of Atreus which is a few hundred meters down the road) and the museum. It isn't enough time but the ticket is good for the following day up until 11:00 if you want to go back. Also, if you're heading for the Argo-Saronic islands such as Spetses or Hydra take the morning bus at 10:30 to Kranidi where a bus was waiting to take us to Costa for the ferry.

That we couldn't stay longer

super nice Pension in Nafplio, everything just a short walk away. We got a lot of information when we arrived (restaurants, beaches, parking) thank you for having us! we will come back :)

Everything about this place was absolutely outstanding. The room was big and comfortable and everything was brand new and very nicely designed. We were a bit worried because we wanted a balcony and couldn't see one in the photos but there is in fact a nice balcony overlooking a nice street. The location is perfect, at the edge of the old town which means you're close to everything and can also park nearby. The owner was extremely and helpful. No complaints whatsoever.
