We stayed for 2 nights and we like everything at carlos backpacker, except the air conditioner

The noise from air conditioner and the air conditioner did not coolest so much.

The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. the beds were very comfortable and the comforter was soft. Overall great value for money.

Well setup, small lamp and plugs by bed. The single bed is spacious and comfortable. The business owners are nice, considerate, and warm, providing very helpful information. Train station is walking-distance away, also a day market, as well as very convenient to get foods and facilities.

The water-saving shower is kinda hurt and difficult to have long-hair clean.

The hosts were really nice and tried their best to make sure I'm comfortable. When I arrived, the host took the initiative to call and check on my transport to Alishan. After that, they were very patient in addressing all my questions online. They're really hospitable as well, and loan me their power adaptor when mine couldn't work. The whole place was really clean and spacious. The bed was the most comfortable I've stayed in throughout my backpacking trip. The neighborhood has some pretty good street snacks as well (I found my favourite taro grass jelly dessert nearby, and even a dedicated vegetarian rice roll shop). Be sure to check out the morning local market too! :)

As cars pass by sometimes at night, being a light sleeper, I can get disturbed by them. But it's only for a while. A pair of ear plugs will do the trick!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. And they could speak English well.
