The owners made our stay so special! They are wonderful hosts. La Pirogue is a very charming place where to stay and enjoy the pure contact with nature.

This is a beautiful self contained apartment/home on the north side of Moorea. The property was incredibly clean and very well looked after. It is designed and decorated in a traditional Polynesian style, with open air access and comfortable facilities. An amazing, beautiful beach with rays and sharks is only a few minutes away. Michelle and her husband are amazing hosts. We were given snorkelling gear, BBQ gear, and also bicycles. I would stay here again, happily.

The property is located right on the main road. It is not exactly a "busy" road like 5th Avenue or Ave de Champs Elysees, but there is traffic passing constantly. It didn't really bother us, but particularly at night it night it can be heard.

The bungalow is very nice, open to the garden, Tahitian style. Michèle took care that we have food for our first breakfast. We didnt use the bikes but they are there for being used

The Pirogue is a unique experience. It is like living in your own Disneyland private tree fort (although it is near ground level). Michele and her husband are delightful hosts and so welcoming. She has done beautiful decorating of the pirogue and I have to say it is quite romantic. We weren't sure from the website if this was a single or muti unit space. It is a single space and all to ourselves! The kitchen is well stocked and easy to cook in. There were breakfast items already there for us in the fridge, as well as coffee and tea. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious. There is also an outdoor grill and seating area, but spacious indoor seating as well. Two bikes are available to use. Grocery store is also in walking distance as is a local beach. Michele has put together a concierge book that has tips about where to go and what to do. One could easily make this their home base for a week or two on the island. And, with the use of the bikes you can make your way around the entire island to explore. Had we known how awesome this was going to be, we would have planned to stay here longer.

The charming place is located very well, the decór is super authentic and nice, and Michéle is probably the best host I have ever met. She was so friendly, helped us with loads of questions and she went above and beyond to give us a great stay. Highly recommended!
