Getaway this summer to the URBAN COTTAGE! This is a quaint home located just a couple minutes from Okanagan Lake. Casually decorated for comfort and relaxation with nice linens. All you need to do is bring your personal belongings and groceries as the kitchen is well-stocked with small appliances and most items you will need. Oil and balsamic vinegar, spices and you’ll find some basic condiments in the fridge too. Enjoy the patio and large backyard for summer activities, and finish off the day by the fire-pit.

Good location for the north end of the okanagan valley

Great to have our own home base when in town visiting family. Had everything we needed for our stay. Backyard was the best. Room for the kids to run, shade and sun, chickens and even a visit from a deer. Also got to share our stay with a nesting robin. Will book again on our next visit.

Great location . Close to all amenities, shopping. Lakes close by . Nice view. Overall enjoyed alot.

Close to Okanagan Lake.
Property is located about a 2 min drive from a nice quiet beach on Okanagan Lake. Unfortunately, the property is also located on a pretty busy road, so there is a lot of traffic noise all day. Also, the Vernon airport is right across the street, so you can hear planes and helicopters through the day. The air conditioner is a portable unit which was located in the larger bedroom, taking up plenty of floor space. The weather was cool while we stayed so we didn't need A/C, but this would not keep the entire property cool on a hot day. Plus, it was very loud. No way you could have that on during the night while you slept. Owners assisted with one small issue. There are two chicken coops in the backyard.

False advertising. “Lake front” does not mean 1.6km from the lake. The pictures of a play structure and beach with the caption “property grounds” is misleading too. Poor location for holiday.
The door lock was programmed incorrectly on our arrival and the property owners were unreachable for an hour and half. Very unapologetic. Disrespectful towards my family on their arrival.
Uncomfortable beds.
Place was clean. Kitchen well equiped.
Kind enough to allow a late checkout after 4 nights.

This was a good little house to stay at near the beach in Vernon. The only negatives were the beds are not comfortable and the AC is actually a portable unit not central AC. No dishwasher either but wasn't an issue for us. Good communication with owner and kept very clean.

An old house by the airport. The accommodations were fine. It was just a place for us to sleep one night. I was most displeased with the lack of communication as we had asked about local wildfire conditions. We never heard back, meanwhile, the City and my car was covered in ash and we awoke to an evacuation alert due to fires in the immediate vacinity. This is not how you keep your guests safe. Tourists had been asked not to enter Vernon. We did not know and would have made other arrangements.

Nice cottage with great location close to all amenities and multiple lakes. Air con a bonus, can be noisy but ideal for heat-wave conditions. Any minor concerns dealt with quickly and effectively by owner and eggs/wine on arrival a lovely touch. Would stay here again.

we enjoyed our stay the cottage was close to everything including the lake. Owners we're very nice and accommodating. This well-priced, older bungalow is set on a busy road across from the Vernon airport - 3 minutes' drive to the beach, less than 10 minutes to the centre of Vernon. Bedrooms are toward the back of the house, so sleep was not a problem. There is a very big back yard with pleasant shade and views. The air conditioning is a real help when Vernon is hot, which it was during our stay. Tamara was a kind and hospitable host. Wifi was fast and reliable.

Fantastic
We stayed at the cottage for a week and loved it. It is very close to the beach and has a large yard with chickens.
The owners were quick to respond with any questions.
My kids didn’t want to leave, they loved staying here.

Meet the chickens!
The owner was very available and friendly and supplied us with fresh eggs from the chicken coup. The house is older with some upgrades, but clean and comfortable. We were disappointed that the AC was a standing AC in the room as we expected central air and it was too noisy to run at night. The rest of the house stayed relatively cool due to the large trees.

Awesome!
This was a great place to stay in a very friendly town. A very busy road, but the back yard was huge so we had no need to go in the front yard. Our host was very friendly and accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay. Vernon is a great place to visit. A big thumbs up from us.

Amazing hosts, Amazing place!
My Family and I stayed for 2 weeks post COViD and have so many positive things to say about this property and the owners, Tamara, Russ and Family. The cottage is conveniently located, very near to a beach, parks and amenities. The cottage is cozy with really comfy beds and linens. Excellent washer and dryer which came in very handy with a dog and 2 yr old. Fabulous back yard, fire pit and chickens!
Highly recommend staying here! I would rebook again tomorrow!

Home away from home
This cozy cottage is a renovated older home with a large backyard with fenced-in chickens. The warmth of a wood-burning fireplace, luxurious towels and bed linens, excellent wi-fi and even fresh eggs for breakfast was a welcoming home away from home. The hosts were generous and always ready to assist in making our stay comfortable.

The house was so cute and cozy! It was equipped with lots of extras and we felt right at home. The chickens in the back yard were a cool surprise. The house was very clean!

Beautiful cottage in a central location
This was a lovely, beautifully kept cottage in Vernon with a large backyard . We were interested in going to all the Provincial park beaches. It was 15 min from Ellison Park. 20 min from Kalamalka Provincial Park. I took my dog and there is a lovely lane to walk up just a half a block South. (The street in front is pretty busy. ) And to our complete surprise is was a 4 min drive to our favourite fruit stand, Davison’s Orchard!!! We had a great vacation!

Wonderful Okanagan getaway spot!
Russel and Tamara were wonderful and kind hosts! The home had everything we needed and more. The home is a perfect combination of cozy cabin and beautiful luxury. Everything you need is quick 5-10 minute drive and you are very close to the beautiful lakes! We will definitely be booking here again for our next Okanagan getaway.
