Clean modern apartment just across a road from beach. Short walk to the Port and to the cafés etc. Nice internal area to dry costumes, clothes and wet suits. Lovely views of sun set over sea. Showers worked well and hot.

Balcony Great to sit on until about 4 pm but then too hot for us. Larger bed mattress a bit too firm. Getting taxi up to Tazacorte centre not always easy.

Perfect Apartment, perfect location, perfect host; we will be back :-) !!

The apartment building is quite new, and the apartment itself was very big and comfortable. We loved the balcony in particular with direct views of the beach of Tazacorte, it was great having breakfast there every morning. The kitchen was outfitted with everything needed to cook all in excellent condition. The quality of all the appliances including the washing machine was great. There is a separate inside terrace where you can dry your clothes. The bathroom is big with shower and bath. The bed itself is new and comfortable. In general the whole place felt like a home away from home, which is what you look for in booking an apartment (not like some places that feel minimally outfitted to save on money). The owner Melody keeps the flat extremely clean, WITH a couple of caveats I will describe in the other section. Melody was extremely kind to us on our honeymoon, giving us a gift of a bottle of champagne and chocolates.

As mentioned above the apartment itself was very clean. However there were a few problems we encountered. 1) There is a strong odor coming from the bathroom, I am guessing there is a real plumbing issue in the apartment building, and there is likely a leak somewhere (or maybe it's just the septic system in that part of the town in general... I don't know). In the apartment there are various things to try to mask the smell, but honestly its still quite strong. During the day when we were there, we left the windows all the way open, and at night we kept the bathroom door closed (was super powerful when entering the bathroom after that of course). Hopefully there is something that can be done to fix this for future guests. 2) On the morning of our departure there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Apparently in general they are a common pest on the canaries, but personally this always gives me a bad feeling when I see them when traveling. 3) The pillows are new for the beds, but they are extremely hard (some sort of memory foam). I guess it depends on how you sleep, but for us they were not very comfortable.

Beautifully furnished with everything we could think of in the kitchen, beach towels and sound system to name a few extras you don’t normally get.
