A beautiful house in a very private and scenic location. We enjoyed the view and the trail around the property. The trail markers were difficult to find at times but it’s an easy hike and the view from the point is lovely. Our dogs enjoyed running around the large yard and lounging in the sun.

From the minute we drove down the driveway I knew we had a relaxing week ahead of us. The house was spotless and had everything we needed and then some. The views are spectacular and we made sure we were "home" to enjoy the sunsets. The eagles provided a daily airshow. We got to see the local porcupines without incident! Our four legged son Newman was delighted with the bucket of toys at his disposal. There was plenty of hiking close by so we didn't have to deal with the masses. We'll be counting the days until next year's return to the Dunn House!

We had a wonderful time at the Dunn house. The location of the property was beautiful, and the views were amazing. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. The sunroom and the living room gave us plenty of space to spread out. The owner was quick to respond and answered any questions we had.
Our whole family had a great time and would definitely love to stay there again.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The house had so many extra touches for us and our dog. Any time we needed something, it was there. Plus, it was furnished and stocked with top-notch items like 680 count sheets and ll bean comforters. The hosts were intentional about making their guests feel like it was their own home away from home.

Our stay at the Dunn House was nothing short of amazing. We had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The kids room got a little warm, but the fans were helpful. The AC’s around the home were essential and very much appreciated. The home is peaceful and every night we were greeted by a family of deer and other wildlife. Kim, our host was incredibly responsive to our every need. The home is located a little off grid so if you’re vacationing with kiddos and plan to travel to Saco, Old Orchard or Popham - you’ll need to incorporate travel time into your plans. Great place to getaway with your partner.

This was our second stay at Dunn House and we loved it once again. The house is very clean, quiet and well-equipped. We had one minor problem with the gas fireplace that the owner took care of promptly so we could use it on the cooler mornings. The area is beautiful with lots of great outdoor activities. We look forward to returning next year!

The Dunn Farm is a beautiful property on a gorgeous location. The antique home has "good bones" with just about every comfort imaginable. The location on the Sasanoa River is gorgeous and peaceful, with various wildlife observable. Nearby trails along the river and ocean make it an ideal location to escape and relax.

We very much enjoyed our time! The house is very clean and well equipped. Such a sweet spot on the water and very private. A great house for families! We had a toddler with us so a couple helpful tips would be to make sure you bring gates (three sets of stairs) and something to blackout windows for nap time. Our dogs loved the big yard! The dock access is not as close as you might think but still so nice if you catch it when tide is in. Paddling in the cove was beautiful! The trails on the preserve could be marked better. Being a private preserve it does not see much traffic and is hard to see trail in spots. My only big disappointment was that the pie place was closed for our entire stay. I was excited about pie! :)

What a beautiful property. Dunn house makes you feel so welcome. Everything you could want or need is provided. Even some toys for the pooches:)
The house is spacious and very comfortable. You can gather in the sunroom or spread out when that's desired. The furniture is super comfortable.
I spent every morning on the couch looking out on the water. The kitchen is outstanding and fully stocked. It was a pleasure cooking meals together for the family.
Our dogs had a blast playing outside, the yard is HUGE!
Kimberly is extremely attentive and responsive. She has thought of everything and truly knows how to create an experience where you feel welcomed into someone's home. We would love to return someday.

Wonderful quiet and peaceful!
The property is very natural and easy to locate. The house is very clean and all amenities that we used worked well. The house is also well-equipped for cooking and the Wi Fi worked fine. It was extremely quiet - we couldn’t even tell if anyone was staying at the other house on the property. If you like to kayak, bike, hike, or just hang out in a quiet scenic spot, this is the place for you! You do need to drive to get to a store or restaurant, but it is an easy trip. We will be returning!

As part of a 40 day road trip we stayed for a week. Perfect for off-the-grid nature -stars at night, water during the day, and just close enough to tourism to indulge. We cooked lobster 2 different nights on the well stocked kitchen and every night we slept like babies.

Beautiful property
So many great touches at this property. The owner has thought of everything! It is a quite secluded but were able to go visit many nearby towns knowing it would be a little bit of a drive. We enjoyed having kayaks delivered to the property and kayaking a few days.

We have rented many houses over the years and I have to say that this one was the best overall hands down. Very well equipped and appointed. This truly feels like you are staying at friend's place, and not a rental. Nothing about this place make you feel your at a rental. If you are looking for quiet and beauty this is it. Had great walks with the dog in the woods, lots of wildlife! We rented some kayaks and canoes for the week and had them delivered and that was fantastic exploring the islands around us. Again, overall this is a great place and Kimberly is great to deal with, you can tell she has thought over every deal and prepared it for you, so all that is left is for you to enjoy!

We loved the house that is so well stocked with absolutely everything you need. Our only disappointment was that water access was too challenging for our younger children (5 and 8). It is mentioned that you do need to walk to the other property that is on the preserve for water access and watch the tides. . It was often very buggy to walk there with the kids, but the mosquito squad showed up mid-week which helped a lot. We were there over the July 4th week so traffic was heavy so quite a bit of time was spent in the car to get to nice beaches like Popham and Pemaquid which we loved. Going to the Botanical Gardens was a highlight of our visit. It wasn’t the best week weather-wise so we did have to spend a couple of days in the house. I booked the house in early 2021 during the height of the Covid pandemic because so did want the property to be more isolated, as I was unsure whether Covid would be under control by summer. We made some nice memories there and appreciated Kim’s quick responses and helpfulness.

Relaxing week isolated from all other humans. Beautiful cottage on acres of island land. Perfect place to watch wildlife and live the rhythms of rising and falling tides.

The property is amazing and remote. Kim was very easy to work with, responsive and quick with all communication. The house is very well kept, organized and literally has everything you can think of. We had a group of 8 (4 adults/4 kids) and we had plenty of room for all of us without feeling cramped. Two helpful tips: 1. The best access for water is at the dock in front of the other property. (which is an easy, quick walk).
2. The mosquitos are plentiful so bring plenty of bug spray. Luckily, the property was sprayed early on in the week when we were there which made a huge difference.

Peaceful week
Unusually hot weather in Maine found us dipping our feet into the plastic kiddie pool filled from the hose. Cooler evenings were appreciated, as well as AC In bedrooms. Otherwise the property was as expected, expansive, peaceful, and private. Lobsters from nearby lobster pound were excellent, as well as meats from a great butcher shop in Damariscotta. Great kitchen, and living room, wi-fi, and outdoor fires made for a tranquil experience. Mosquitos as can be expected in Maine- but not so bad close to the house. Water access would have been great, but the serene property, elegant house, and ample amenities made this a memorable stay.

We had a lovely time quarantining on this property. The setting is serene and surrounded by natural beauty of the sea and forest. We enjoyed using the bikes, hiking the land and toasting s’mores over the fire pit.
The house was meticulous with everything one could need and just as described. We will definitely be back! Thank you Kimberly.
