A lifeguard tower is just steps away from the home, which helps ensure a safer summertime beach experience. The beach is wide and the surfing is great (it s a beach break). This home is within walking distance to fine oceanfront dining and fun shopping in the village of Del Mar. Nearby Powerhouse Park provides a spot for a seaside picnic or free weekly concerts in the summer. You can also walk to the Del Mar Racetrack from this vintage home. PLEASE NOTE! -This home is NOT baby and/or child-proof. It is your responsibility to walk the home and/or property upon arrival, to make this space safe for your children. We assume no liability for harm/death to any baby or child staying or visiting this vacation rental. -Please be aware when booking this property that it s from the 1930s and has quirks. The house is not updated, this is part of its charm. The pictures are a true representation. -----This vintage home may smell older (this is normal). The furniture is older and the decor is reflective of a far-off era. -This home DOES NOT have AC, sorry. -This home has very wide railings on the upper floor. Therefore, this home is not suitable for small children, due to the risk of falling from the 2nd floor down to the 1st floor below. Injury and/or death could occur from a fall. - Please note that early check-ins and late check-outs are available at our discretion. There are extra fees for either of these add-ons when available. - The fireplace is to not be utilized. ​​​​​​​CANCELLATION POLICY A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty, aside from a $500 restocking fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment (not including deposit and cleaning fee). Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. If you wish to shorten your existing reservation with VRBKIM, and your reservation is further than 30 days away, we do charge a $100 restocking fee to make this adjustment.
