About this house rental
Nestled in Deloraine, this charming house for R 1,671 per night is a great option for your next break. Woodlands cottage is self contained and cosy. Up to 4 people can be accommodated (1 queen bed and 1 double bed). Linen is supplied. Located on the historic property of Woodlands a commercially operating grazing and cropping property. Within the farm there is over 250 acres of bush and river areas to explore with some fine examples of native forest. Some of the best trout river fishing in Tasmaina can be had on Woodlands. Located 5 minutes from Deloraine many northern features and activities are located nearby such as: Liffey Falls, Cradle Mountain, King Solomon and Marakoopa Caves, Trowunna Wildlife Park at Mole Creek (where they are saving the devils), Golfing, Fishing, Great Lakes, Tamar Valley Wine Route and many great walks up the Western Tiers Escarpment. 41 degrees South, Honey Farm, Van Diemens Land Ice Creamery, Raspberry Farm, Ashgrove Cheese all within 15 minutes. Woodlands is a 40 minutes drive to either Launceston or Devonport. Woody our Jack Russell and Reggie (he is all bark and no bite) our farm dog will greet you on arrival along with 2 horses - Jasmine and Milly who will be grazing nearby!

We spent 4 wonderful days exploring the area and woodlands cottage was the perfect base for us. It was a cosy and peaceful place. We thoroughly enjoyed having a warming fire at night. Well done and thank you to our hosts!

The accomodation is pretty rugged! Draughty with gaps under the front door and through unplumbed shower drain. No window coverings on the bathrooms large windows was a bit disconcerting! Two oil heaters and the open fireplace with access to dry kindling and firewood certainly helped warm the cottage. The hosts Tim and Pip were helpful and friendly.

A charming small cottage close to town on an established farm with lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome and at home.

The hosts were very welcoming and the surroundings were fantastic - much appreciated. We searched for two bedrooms but there was one bedroom and a studio room.

Was a great country getaway from suburban or city life

Great farm stay!!!
Woodlands is one if the unique accomodation which gives you the feeling of a real farm stay as it is in a farm. It was a overnight stop over in Woodlands and we enjoyed the stay. Go with the expectation of real farm stay not expecting the urban luxuries (except for that unlimited WiFi). You can watch from the bed or from the balcony, beautiful sunset over the mountains and pastures with cows and horses. You will wake up to the nature out in front of you from one of the bedrooms. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. Towels and soap were provided. Its a very big property and one could go for a good walk around. Very friendly hosts. I have given 4 stars only because the kitchen can get a facelift with better microwave and stove. Also more pedestal fans can be provided to circulate some air for a very hot day.

Very welcoming, fabulous views, great base to explore the region, plenty of wood to keep the fire burning and it was freezing overnight. Good facilities, outdoor chairs would have been beneficial. Tim and Pip were warm and friendly. Woody the dog came to visit often and was welcome.Amazing property, wish we had more time just to explore the farm x

Gorgeous cabin in peaceful setting
A beautiful cottage set within a gorgeous piece of Tasmanian countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, not only was the cottage clean and comfortable but the hosts were so welcoming and generously allowed us to explore their beautiful farm which we enjoyed as much as all the sight-seeing we did. We wished we could have stayed longer as it was so peaceful here.

Awesome Farm Cottage!
We loved our stay at Woodlands Farm Cottage. My husband & I loved being able to relax and enjoy the view while our 3 daughters fed the horses, fetched the chicken eggs and played endlessely with Woody & Cyndi the dogs. The Host family were lovely and helpful with any enquiries. The Cottage itself had lots of character and suited our needs as a young family. We would definitely visit again.

Peaceful home away from home
We stayed here for two nights while travelling through the area on our honeymoon, and we wished we could have stayed longer. This cottage was a perfect size with everything we needed for cooking and warmth, along with a few extras such as the lovely hospitality shown by the owners, and the company of their dogs (who spent much of their time with us in front of the fire). We loved spending time with the horses, sheep, chickens, obviously the dogs, and driving past the gorgeous calves on our way in and out. We will definitely drop in again next time we are in Tasmania! :)

Rustic farmstay
We loved the peace & quiet and the views over the paddocks. This is a working farm so your bound to experience the real country life. Close to town to have a meal with a choice of cafes & pubs also a good size supermarket for live in supplies.Cabin is basic but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Will return if we pass this way again

Wonderful farm stay at Woodlands
We had a wonderful time at Woodlands Farm. The cottage is basic but welcoming, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the open fire and the property is wonderful. We did a couple of great walks on site, one through the paddocks to the river at twlight to spot platypi and one up the hill through the forrest. There are cows, chickens, horses, a sheep and a very friendly farm dog, Woody. This is the perfect place to relax on site or an easy drive to many of the western tiers local attractions. Thankyou to Tim and Pip for a lovely farm stay. Pure tranquillity and peace, just what was needed. Beautiful surroundings and plenty to explore in the area. Basic clean and comfortable accommodation in a heritage cottage. Woody the dog was a delight.
