Absolutely lovely couple! Met us on arrival and offered to help carry or bags. They lead us to our room and gave us a guided tour which was lovely. They couldn't have been more kind and welcoming. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The views from the balcony were beautiful and it felt very homey. There was a kitchen outside of our room which was lovely, it is a shared kitchen, but still private enough. Sadly the pub was closed but there are plenty of takeaways that deliver. Highly recommended! Would definitely stay again
Everything was brilliant.

There was a big dog at the entrance of the premises which was shocking to me, especially to people scared of dogs, not very impressed, my delivery man from just eat was scared to death when the dog started barking for few mins.😘
The big dog at entrance of the hotel is a no no for me. its a commercial place, having a big dog there could put off potential customers that are not dog lovers., apart from that, the place was very clean, spacious with great view! .

Spacious clean rooms with good facilities. I worried from seeing reviews there’d be noise from the pub but it was closed so very quiet.
Rooms were over a pub which was closed. Derelict houses on one side, closed caravan site on the other.

It's a good hotel located an hour away from peak district which is convenient and cost effective. The host is very welcoming and friendly. Since it was new year he allowed us to check out anytime next day which was really kind of him. The rooms are good size, clean and each had a double bed as well as a single bed which is good for families with kids. They also provide two fully functional kitchen one on each floor, which is really helpful if you don't want to spend on restaurants. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend.
Just a minor suggestions. The lights in some of the rooms were dim especially in the kitchen which made the ambience a bit dull. Obviously it didn't effect us much because we are fun loving crowd 😁 but if that can be improved it would be great. Otherwise everything else was good.
