The location of the hotel is 2minutes walk from train station. The dinner and the breakfast were delightful. It is a perfect place to stay and take a break from urban cities.

The kaiseki dinner was amazing!! My favorite meal during my three week trip in Japan. Owners were very nice and spoke English well, they described every course during our dinner. Onsen facilities were great! Beautiful out door area. Located RIGHT next to a station so easy to get to. They will hold your luggage in the morning before you check in which is really nice.

amazing experience at Nanten. the staff were very friendly and the onsen was relaxing. breakfast and dinner was delicious and very filling. we did sleep on futons so if your not okay with firm mattresses I’d recommend you only stay for one night. I think the ryokan onsen experience is a must-do when visiting Japan!!

The stay at Nanten-en was nothing short of spectacular.
The meals were special and exquisite, each dish and course was prepared with utmost care and thought that went behind it, in all I had some of the most amazing kaiseki experience for every meal served.
Service was top-notch and the polite staff go to great lengths to ensure that my stay was comfortable and well-taken care of. Every need was met and I had no worries communicating with the staff whom had a good command of English. They checked in on me regularly and I was constantly met with some of the warmest hospitality I have experienced. The place had a tranquil vibe and was adorned with traditional decorations that reflected the deep Japanese culture, the rooms were meticulously cleaned and the facilities well-maintained.
Special mention to Gary who guided me onto some hiking trips to the backyard mountains, which was the highlight of my entire trip to Japan. The picturesque views from the summits and breathtaking sights along the way was something that I never imagined I would have had the pleasure to witness, and the entire hike was just unforgettable. Hearing him share in detail about his experiences and joy in hiking really enthralled me and I am deeply grateful for the beautiful unforgettable memories I made up in the mountains of Kawachinagano.

The employees are very nice and the dinner and breakfast course are very delicious. Also the atmosphere is very superb.
I heard footsteps outside my room along the night that it made me difficult to sleep.

I LOVED everything, the pool, the room, the service, the food, the bedding, the silence for sleeping. I really want to be able to go back again, it's very hard to find such a nice spot for such a nice summer experience, the pool feels very relaxed, the all day yukata policy makes it feel like a home.
That I couldn't have a beer next to the pool 😉
