Staff was very friendly
Check in and out process was an absolute disaster, also, they changed me to another room in the middle of my stay; packing up my things without my approval and changing rooms just like that. At the end of the stay, they wanted me to pay more!

The camp is located in very beautiful surroundings. The staff is so friendly and the sundowner session by the pool every day was so cozy! Felt very safe at the camp, and it was very close to the national park

Pleasantly surprised with the tent, had running hot water and comfortable bed, for such great value! We watched the Milky Way galaxy in the dark and had great sunsets from the pool. Sadly both of us were unwell, but what we did taste of the food on offer was delicious. All staff are very helpful. The game drives through the Mara were also great and a once in a lifetime experience.
On the game drives, we had a couple of issues with our guide. There was alot of pressure to visit the Masaai village and at no point were we told about entrance fees and other purchases we’d be encouraged to buy. It felt like it was a bit of money making scheme. We absolutely wanted to support the local community but the way in which it was done made us feel uncomfortable. The other issue was at the park gate on our last day where there seemed to be a bit of confusion as to who we were paying our park fee to. Note, if you’re flying in and out of the Mara, you must have receipts for your park fees for all days your there as they will be checked by the rangers as you’re waiting to depart.

The food was always lovely and the chefs even went out of their way to carter for dietary requirements.
Felix is just an amazing host in the restaurant and Nelson was around and swift to help whenever needed.
The front of office wasn't well equipped with information about the Camps operations and the Manager wasn't very helpful when needed.

The food was not well prepared and the staff were not clean. You will eat there only because you are hungry and there is no access to food outside the camp.
The owner and his son were taking videos and pictures of the guests without their permissions, and when they were notified that this is not professional they laughed and said it is for advertisement. It was very uncomfortable to be followed by a camera all the time

Great helpful staff, very delicious food and you felt like home in this place. Also, reasonable price for all the service, location etc including food. Drinks were charged separately but also with readonable prices. Big thanks to Felix who helped us with everything, even with my sickness.

The camp is really nice, the house we stayed in was very comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and the food in the restaurant tasty, plus there is a selection of several options for each meal. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would highly recommend this place to those who plan to explore Masai Mara. The location is very convenient, it is a very short drive to the Sekenani gate - less than 10 minutes.
Although we were told there is hot water in the shower, it never came. But the staff seemed to do their best to achieve this and it is refreshing to have a cold shower after a safari drive.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Kosmos our driver was really informed, a wondeful guide and a all around great guy, we recommend using him!
The view on top of the hill where we ate was spectacular and we will recommend booking a tent there (on top of the hill) as it is close to where you eat, get picked up by the guide and the view is really nice as mentioned.
The overall location is great as it is near the gate of the Masaai Mara park.
Our first tent was near the construction site and not great. The bathroom was disappointing as the toilet was loose from the floor and we did not have hot water or any water at first. We had to call a staff member at 11pm to come and fix it. The tap later fell off while showering and had to be reattached by us. The next morning and the afternoon after returning from the national park we once again did not have any hot water...luckily they did move us to another tent where all of the other guests were unfortunately the shower water was not hot but the one other tap was so we were able to shower and wash our hair although it was difficult.
The Wifi was also not working.

We liked the concept of Tourism for Social Change. Read more about the camp before you go to understand the mission. Staff was so genuinely welcoming. They really seemed happy that we were there and did everything possible to make sure our visit was the best we could experience. The Masai are anxious to share their knowledge about their homeland, and animals and communities that co-exist on the Mara. The food was fresh and well prepared and served with gratiousness. The dining area is open to spectacular views of the Masai Mara. We hope to return to this camp next year.

The staff were young, very friendly and helpful. The place is near the gate of the Masai Mara Park.
The place is run down. The pictures on booking.com give a much more luxurious impression of the rooms, whereas in reality they are basic with poor sanitary facilities. Running water in the bathroom is a problem, but you can shower in some basic dark (no electricity) facilities near the parking. Overall management seems to be absent.

I never leave a 10/10 review but in the case of Oldarpoi, I cannot help it. This camp is probably one of the best places I have been on earth. Right from the moment you walk in through the gates, you feel at home. You will be welcomed by some very friendly staff including Justin and Thomas. You will get to enjoy some very tasty and healthy home cooked meals by Chef Willy and a tail wagging from the two camp dogs. The camp also has rescue Zebra, 2 Elands, a giant bull and some happy grazing cows. I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday here, I was surprised by a cake, complete with my name on the icing from the staff. It was fantastic. The camp itself is on lush and well maintained grounds. Our tent was clean and full of amenities like hot water, bathroom slippers, cabinet for clothes and sit out chairs. There was daily housekeeping. I extended my stay there from 2 days to a week. I would have loved to stay longer. We did two game drives with a very knowledgeable in house Safari guide Cosmas. He showed us the big 4 and tried his very best to help us spot a Rhino, but we missed only by a few minutes. No regrets.
Nelson and Maggie, the owners are two people who make this place magical in very sense. They were such gracious hosts to my husband and me and I cannot thank them enough. If you have time, please go learn about their efforts at Nashulai Conservancy. They are going a commendable job. This way you can learn more and support the local community and their ecosystem, even once back home.
Nothing. Every moment was so well spent. I can only recommend this place to visitors coming to the Mara. Some renovations and new works are underway (nothing too bothersome during our stay) which will make this place even more hospitable, the next we visit.

I stayed with my family and we really liked this place. It’s only a 5 Minute drive to Sekenani Gate. We stayed for 3 nights in a quadruple cottage with full board. The cottage was cosy and very clean with comfortable beds and big mosquito nets. Shower and toilet were basic but working fine. The meals were of good choice, also tasty and healthy. An early breakfast is available before game drives and also the possibility for a packed lunch. The camp has a great atmosphere and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. We hired a great and very knowledgeable Maasai guide at Oldarpoi for our first game drive into the Mara – and saw the big five on one day. We also loved the friendly dogs on the campsite! Internet was only available by the restaurant but we did not mind. We like the fact that we supported the Maasai in the Mara with our stay and would recommend this place. Thank you very much Nelson and also James our guide, to make our stay so memorable!
