We liked the overall atmosphere and facilities of the hostel. Also, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the spacious lounge and lovely bar on the first floor. The homemade Inca Cola available at the bar was especially delicious! In the kitchen, there’s complimentary Hojicha tea and coffee. I expected it to be cheaper brands or instant, which would be fine, but instead the tea was nice quality loose-leaf, and the coffee was whole beans that you can grind in an electric coffee grinder for a really fresh cup of coffee.
There’s not much to dislike. We had a private room that came with its own shower and toilet. Since it’s a hostel, it didn’t come with towels, which we had forgotten to bring. But as with most hostels, towels are available to rent for cheap at reception along with other small toiletries for sale. As for the free coffee and tea, my only gripe is there was sugar available but not milk or creamer, not even the powdered stuff. So if you don’t drink your coffee black, you might need to pick up your own milk for the stay.

The decorations is cool and stylish. The location is good. WiFi is stable. The space is big enough. Staff is very kind. AC is strong. Open kitchen is very useful. Neighbourhood is quite and cute.
The bathroom cannot lock properly. Stuff is nervous using English. The room is just next to bathroom, so if other guests using bathroom you can totally hear it.

Staff was very nice! The place has a restaurant in the first floor with a very, very nice atmosphere.
- Lockers were self-made and very unsafe
- Room was too cold because of too strong air condition settings
- Air conditioner was too loud too sleep
- Room was too bright to sleep
- Other people were loud and rude

The place looked very cozy and the staff was helpful. They have very cute drawings of the city and the instru of how to use parts of the hostel.
The room I had was next to the bathroom. Normally I'm not a very sensitive person, but the walls were so thin, that I woke up every time, somebody went into the bathroom. Also I didn't feel comfortable in the bed, but this might be just my personal preference.

the ethnic is wonderful. you can tell they’ve thought about a lot of things and they’ve done their best to make everything as convenient and work as smoothly as possible. The shared kitchen is awesome with lots of books. The elevator runs quickly. And the check-in staff really make sure you have everything you need. Plus it’s such a convenient location from the public bath and you can get a discounted ticket at the guest house front desk.

It's located at a more quiet part of town, within 10 minutes walking of the Castle and a few minutes from a climbing/ bouldering gym if you're into it. You can also rent cheap bikes and go a little further. We had the private room, which was spacious. With own toilet, shower, big fridge and freezer and washing machine. You can buy liquid for 50 cents at the reception. The furniture is mostly second hand - which gives the space a nice character but also makes stuff not always work smoothly. Our table was wobbly and drawers did not open smoothy but you can work around that. The futons were thicker than most other places, which I liked. It also had [non see through] windows which could be opened, nice for a little breeze in spring or summer. For summer they had AC - I can imagine it's get hot. Working and relaxing space downstairs is really nice if you need to focus or get some work done. We did not really hear our neighbours, which is also a plus for [most of the] accommodation in Japan. Overall really liked the vibe and intentions of the place!
Some basic kitchen materials in the room could be better - but you can borrow from the kitchen downstairs. There is a kettle though. The neighbourhood is not super lively itself but within walking distance you can be - and still there's plenty of food options around.

The place is easy to find. Near the bus stop and near the station. It's very clean and accessible to many places too. The staffs are also friendly and helpful.
I just had a problem using the upper deck because the ladder is not comfortable. It's hard to go up and down the bed. I feel nervous everytime I go down. I feel I would fall.

It was a quite a comfortable stay, there's a bus stop nearby and station is easily accessible by a 15 min walk. There's also a really nice café near by. All facilities were in place and the place was really clean.
The slippers provided in the room, not sure if they were very old and worn out or just not clean enough. It's given for the convenience of using around the guest house but I was a bit hesitant about wearing them initially.
Also, I wasn't informed of when exactly the house keeping arrives and was a bit taken aback because I hadn't planned accordingly.

Very nice place with lots of charm and character, vintage look, good vibes, nice staff, nice dorm not cramped. Loved this hostel.

The place is lovely. I got a free upgrade and a very nice room.
I couldn't really sleep well because my room was facing the bathroom and the other guests were laud and noisy.
I don't appreciate the fact that the guests need to do their own bed. Also the bed set is composed of just 2 simple sheet (no pillow case or douvet cover).

The best place I have stayed in 4 month traveling. The owner are super nice and so everything to make you stay great. They tell you about all the things to do and eat in the area and we made Onigiri together and had vegan soup and salad together. It feels like staying with friends. Also the Onsen is 1 minute away. will comeback with joy.

The atmosphere of the entire place was completely unique and the styling of the entire place was wonderful. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s an easy 20 min walk from the station and there are so many cool places for food and drinks nearby. The rooftop was also awesome - perfect to catch the sunset. There’s also a sento across the street which was a lovely treat.

"Find your Seeds" is the theme of this guesthouse and through my short stay I was able to encounter many new things from receiving local Wakayama recommendations from lovely hosts Takashi and Mari who made me feel very at home. Recommend to try out the local Ramen with Sushi!). I also enjoyed breakfast while chilling in the lounge surrounded by interesting books.
