Newly Renovated Retreat w\/ Huge Gorgeous Deck on Green Space, Ping Pong Table, 11 Miles to Portland
About this house rental
Located in West Linn, this charming house for R 6,394 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This recently renovated West Linn home is special in every way. Sitting in a quiet suburban neighborhood in the hills of West Linn, you are just over 10 miles to downtown Portland. Rated as one of the top small cities to live in within the entire country, you can't go wrong to make this your home during your travels. Upon entering the home you are greeted with an incredibly warm and comfortable layout. You will immediately see the care and thoughtfulness that went into every bit of decor helping create a wonderful experience on your travels. The main living and dining area is connected with ample seating. Connected on two sides the living and dining rooms, the main kitchen area and a nook provides even more seating. Up just seven steps is the upper part of the split level home that boasts all four bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds with closets and room to spread out. There is a shared full bath just at the top of the stairs. On the other end you will find the master bedroom with a new king bed, a seating area, and a full bathroom adjacent to it. Also sitting near the bathroom is another bedroom area. This room has three queen beds and is perfect for kids, young adults, and siblings to sleep under the same room and enjoy everything this home has to offer. The homeowner lives on the property in the lower level. This level is available to add on to the main part of the home for an additional $200 a night. It has another full kitchen, living area, and bedroom with direct access to the enormous deck. To access the deck (if you are not renting the lower level space as well) just follow the path on the left side of the house. There is plenty of seating in chairs for the entire group and a ping pong table to enjoy overlooking the vast green space behind the home. Weather permitting, you will find yourself spending a lot of time in this space. We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house. There is ample street parking, often the two spots in the driveway are in taken. Due to winter storm, all plans were changed & had to stay at the house vs going out. The VRBO description didnt tell us the owner lived onsite & downstairs. 1 bed had dog hair (we think) in it, found sheets & able to change the bed. The furnace wasnt working 1/2 the time we were there & house was only 63-64 degrees (during a winter storm), it was 15° outside, freezing rain & snow. Owner & Property managment was responsive & brought extra blankets & 2 space heaters. Needs a few things such sponges orsomething to hand wash dishes as well.

In spite of a terrible ice storm and coming in one day late our experience was top notch all the way! The management was great. Would highly reccomend!

We stayed here to be close to my parents’ house in West Linn and it was perfect. There were only four of us, but it was cozy, clean, and very quiet. The kids loved sharing the bedroom with three beds, and it made it easy for us to have them so close to our main bedroom. My only suggestion would be to add pathway lights on the steps down to the front door. Since you can’t park in the driveway, you have to use those steps and in the dark it was a bit nerve wracking with the kids.
Thank you for a wonderful and easy stay!

The house is similar to the photos. The house was very clean. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked. I would not want to stay here with as many people as this house could hold (12-14) because the public spaces would be very crowded. The room with the 3 queen beds is sort of a loft and can hear anything happening in the kitchen and living room. For 8 or 9 people this house is fine. Especially, if you are getting out during the day. The property managers were very helpful. You can find lots of parking on the street, but the driveway was full of large trucks owned by the people who live in the downstairs apartment. Also, the deck is part of the downstairs apartment and was full of their belongings and would feel super weird to use, as it is connected to the downstairs apartment. So really there is no outside space to use.

Pros:
Very clean house
Comfortable furnishings
Two large tables which worked perfectly for us - one to eat at and one for a puzzle!
Quiet neighborhood - we didn't hear a peep!
Gorgeous forest right out the back window complete with adorable and acrobatic squirrels.
Cons:
The upstairs kitchen could use a few more basic pots and pans.
The hot water heater cannot support 10 guests, let alone 14 as advertised. This would be a key upgrade to making the house a five-star destination.

We were very disappointed in the layout of the house. The 4th bedroom does not have a door to close, it attaches to the master bath, and it provides no privacy. This did not work for us at all and we were shocked to see this. Although it states that there is a huge deck, it looks directly into the owners windows which we felt uncomfortable with and it is quite far from the kitchen so it felt like a huge hassle to lug all of our food down there to eat. The BBQ did not work so we never were able to cook outside. The management company was very responsive, but in most cases told us there was nothing they could do to help with our situations that arose. The house was not equipped with basic kitchen tools (ex cutting boards) so we found it challenging to cook often. We requested a late check out (we had young kids and it would have made our travel day infinitely easier) but we were denied and told our only option was to pay for an additional day (therefore it wasn't because new people were checking in).
We met the owner on numerous occasions and he was extremely friendly and we were gracious that he allowed us to stay in his home. I only wish that he would have been the contact person rather than the management company.

We had 6 adults for a long weekend. The house was very clean . The kitchen was well stocked w dishes and utensils, we loved having 3 bathrooms. The neighborhood was very interesting for walking.
We could have used more kitchen towels and paper towels.
Otherwise, I would love to stay here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you
House was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I may have missed the part of the owners living in the downstairs of the property. We have stayed in many VRBOs and we thought this was quite interesting. Never heard them or saw them. Sparse pots and pans but we made do

Great house
The house was very nice in a very nice neighborhood. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. We liked the Roku TV in the living room, so we could stream shows when we were home. It was a good location for us, as it was about halfway between Portland and family events in Aurora. The loft location is a little odd since it opens into the master bathroom, but we made it work for us. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Location was good for us. Management and host responded promptly to needs ie not having a pitcher on site, difficulty getting heat to come on, etc. Location was clean enough; comfortable beds. Sofa in living room was broken and Should be replaced. Carpet on steps needs cleaning. Fireplace was not operable.

This property was absolutely perfect for our group! It was clean, the sheets and beds were wonderful. The kitchen had the basics, which was great for us. The neighbor is beautiful.
One suggestion is the need for a full length mirror.

This home was great for our 3-generation family! We gathered from four states to celebrate the adoption of our grandson, who's family lives in Beaverton. There was plenty of room for the 7 adults and 7 children who stayed on property. Jim, the owner, is amazing. This house is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, within minutes of shopping, downtown Portland, and many outdoor activities, and it was a great place to relax after each full day. We definitely give Apollo Heights 5 solid stars!

This property was truly what one would expect for the Portland suburbs. Gorgeous neighborhood, with a clean, comfortable and cozy house. We were here on a work trip, and it was a great place to come relax and share a meal and a great sit on the deck each night.
The property had all the comforts of home, and the standard appliances and utensils that one would find in their own home, along with some extras like toiletries that can be hard to pack.
The owners thought of everything for this property and we will be returning to it, on our frequent work trips to Portland.

Very clean, comfy beds, well stocked, attractive decorating, excellent neighborhood, nearby parks, stores etc. Had 5 adults and 2 kids and we had plenty of room. BBQ and BBQ area could use some TLC. Overall, though, an excellent property which we enjoyed very much.

House was perfect. My brothers family with two small kids, my niece with her small child, and me and my husband stayed here. Plenty of beds for everyone. We were in town for my daughters wedding. Abernathy wedding venue was just a few miles away, so location was perfect. Owner has great communication, we had one small issue which he took care of immediately. Overall experience is exceptional.
