Memorable and authentic!

Super well located, gives you instant vacation vibes. The cabanas were spacious and decorated nicely. The best thing about Monkey Business was the staff. You felt welcome right away and they were super attentive. Cool that they rent motorbikes for a good price!

Its not really their fault, but the Internet was down quite a few times for a longer period!

Dreadful, Dreadful, Dreadful.

The hotel staff, everything else about this hotel was dreadful.

The bungalow we stopped in was dilapidated. Door was damaged and not very secure. No hot water in the shower, so we had to boil water and use a bucket and pail to wash. The bathroom smelled of stale urine. The walls and ceiling were water damaged. Holes in the floor which were covered over with a small mat. The rugs on the floor were filthy and needed a good cleaning. Myself and my partner were woken by cockroaches crawling over us on the second and last nights of our stay, thank God we were only staying for three nights.

No locker storage for big travel bags The windows do not have thick enough curtains that are beside the bunk beds letting in sun light The top bunks in dormitory does not have privacy curtains or its own plugs / lights There is no social or communal area No security / safety measures ie gate to separate public road or public access to the rooms Food / drinks / laundry washing / moped hire all VERY expensive for the island

nice location, nice staff, nice restaurant, room was nicely decorated and comfortable just run down

lots of cockroaches in our room, we had at least 1/2 a day, room was run down with holes in the walls, ceiling and floor

The room was spacious for 4 people. The restaurant staff which is very accommodating.

The bathroom ceiling was half open and kind of looked like it was going to fall any minute. The toilet flush didn’t work so we have to improvised.

Nice common area.

Rooms too small and packed. More beds than what the room can handle. No curtains for privacy and no sockets for upper beds. Also this is not a seafront hostel.

The room was clean and very aesthetic, the staffs were kind and friendly. Breakfast was good, too.

No heater for the shower. Breakfast took more than an hour to prepare.

wifi was very weak in the dorm rooms but you can dine in at the restaurant and work from there.

Is clean and Comfortable with helpful staff

All was good apart from the noise of the generator all the time. I was in the shared dorm right beside it so if booking try not be in that room.

Great hostel, would recommend

Really cool bar / food area. The staff were also really friendly and kind, always helping out.

Staying in the dorms there were some pretty crazy loud dogs nearby that were screaming at the early hours of the morning. Other than that the place was great

nice enough hotel but not worth it for the price

staff were so lovely and the mango coconut pancakes included with breakfast were delicious!

the room had an overwhelming smell of damp, which made it quite uncomfortable to sleep. there were also quite a lot of ants in the bathroom.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Good air con. Towels were provided. Water refills right outside our dorm room. Shower worked well.

The water was not hot in the shower and the power went out a few times.

Amazing and very comfortable bedroom with a hammock and a little space in front of the room, the breakfast is good and the place is well located

The bathroom was not too clean and we had some ants (we didn't have food in the room)

Basic facilities, good location.

Good resto and cafe in front. Nice location, near the good beaches of San Juan. Polite and helpful staff.

No area to stash your bag. No privacy curtains. No outlets for the person on the top bunk (although there are wires leading to it, maybe soon).

- confortable beds - the staff is really nice - good location

- the bathroom always was with water on the floor. smell bad - no very social - no common area, just the restaurant of the property. - no courtains neither lights on the bunk beds.

good location, ‘OK’ hostel

location is good and Monkey business cafe is great with super fast and reliable wifi and tasty food. the staff were also lovely and I hired a great scooter from them for 350 pesos

no privacy curtain, the shower/toilet were combined and created a wet room and the drainage was bad so if you have a shower the room stayed wet for ages. the room is small also, luckily there was only 1 other person in the dorm room when I stayed otherwise it would have been really cramped and I can see there becoming an issue with only 1 toilet/shower for 8 people.
