Central location for town, or salt hill village, lovely having the beach across the road, very clean, room serviced daily. Shauna was a really amazing host, very knowledgeable & friendly, great choices for breakfast

The location, the host, the guest house in general were all wonderful. Shauna is a very attentive host who knows her city well and has lots of helpful information for guests. The guesthouse is close enough to the city center to walk everywhere but far enough away for a quiet stay. Breakfast is an incredible spread, and you can't beat being right on the ocean in Salthill.

Our first B&B in Ireland, the place and host exceeded our expectations. I would have to say that Westwinds was our favorite B&B during our 8 day trip. It stands out for being very comfortable, great location, free on site parking, amazing breakfast, lovely home with a great view of the ocean and Salthill promenade. Located between downtown Galway and Salthill allowed us to walk to both areas. Wish we had of stayed longer.

Shauna was a terrific, helpful and friendly host who served excellent, flexible breakfasts in a lovely conservatory room.
Comfortable ensuite room with excellent shower/bath. Located across the road from the beach for some sea air and just 15 minutes easy walking into the heart of Galway.

This is a very well run B&B. The proprietor is professional, cordial and very helpful with her recommendations concerning the local area. The property sits back off the street so street noise is not an issue. The rooms are comfortable, adequately furnished and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and the made-to-order breakfast is very tasty. This is the 1st time I've given a property an "exceptional" rating this year.
A common area would have been nice but not a deal breaker.

We asked for a recommendation for dinner and were told to try the local golf club. We did and were pleased with the food and wonderful view of the dining area. Thank you! The bed was a standard double bed size and was comfy. We were given one of the rooms at the front with a fabulous view of the sea front. Parking was free and right outside the house.
The bedroom was quite small and bathroom even smaller (black grout needs changing). No seating in this room unless perched on the small stool at dressing table. Price for this accommodation did not reflect the size of room / facilities / quality of bedding / towels / decor. We've been staying in Ireland at several B&B's at similar price bracket and other locations were by far more superior. Owners are probably out of touch with what the competition offer. Might be worth investigating this, or reducing the price to reflect standard of rooms.

We were offered an Irish breakfast and it was good. My friend ordered just scramble eggs but she stole some stuff from my Irish breakfast hahaha. You also have coffee, tee, yogurt, cereals, bread, butter, marmelade... it was a good and complete breakfast. Gracias! The place was nice and clean
The ladies who welcomed us were very nice. I recommend this place for a stay! ;)
At the beginning I had difficulties understanding the way electricity plugs were working. I was about to ask the owner but I found out by myself!

Location is perfect, close enough to be near city for all amenities but also right at the beginning of the promenade for one of the best walks in the country! Bedroom was spacious and clean and so comfortable. Had a great sleep! Breakfast was delicious and more than enough choice. Nice relaxing dining room too. And of course, thank you to a wonderful host, Shauna!

The host is wonderfully accommodating. The room was lovely and comfortable with a great view of the water. The breakfast was superb.

No AC and the windows only open a few inches so the room did get quite stuffy.
