Priceless view! Great service. I appreciated having the option to purchase drinks from the B&B.
No dislikes-but the bed could have been a little more comfy 😊.

Great view great price nice staff.
A little hard to carry your bags up all the stairs, pack light!! Parking is expensive but that is expected in Porto Fino.

The view was mesmerising, the whole marina could be observed. The location was isolated. The house and interior pretty much shifted us to the ancient times.
Everything was marvellous, EXCEPT for the incident which spoiled our mood and whole trip.
The hotel administration were selling bottles of wine, 10€ each. We took and drank 2 bottles that night, it was fine. However, next morning the bill was for 4 bottles. My invigorating attempts to prove the host’s mistake led to nothing. Hence, I was told that I had drunk 4 bottles of wine and had to pay precisely for that amount. So, we were fooled by the hotel host. Despite being rude and angry, the administrator was shouting at me and pointing his finger straight to my face. I felt the lack of respect towards me as a guest and individual.
I paid the whole bill due to the fact that I had a flight and was in a rush. Nevertheless, I reckon I couldn’t do a thing in that situation … the host was mad and insane. I hope he will be brought to justice. Being honest, I suppose he was covering his other unaccounted costs and wanted me to pay for them. The money was chicken feed, I wanted to give him generous tips, much more that he had gained. This matter wasn’t about money, it was about justice.

The views were fantastic. The host was very friendly
Nothing, we knew when we booked there 180 steps to climb but the views made every one of them worth it.
If you are at all infirm then it isn’t for you.

the view, the staff (Tomas), the room, the breakfast.
the steps- but they are fine once you do them once. If you’re fit and healthy then it’s no problem.

I liked the view from the property, but to get to that view we had to climb around 200 steps with our luggage and no help from the hotel what so ever. if the hotel didn’t hide that information, we could have planned better and not wasted 1 hour to climb that rocky path with our heavy luggage.
The properly was High up on a mountain which they conveniently hid from us and once we arrived and found it impossible to climb the 200 off steps they not only didn’t help us with our luggage and the climb but they told us a cancellation and refund were not possible. this hotel is expensive and given it’s location, tiny rooms, insects inside the rooms, it was a total waste of money and would not recommend anyone to go there.

It a a lovely location. But the site needs to be transparent BEFORE BOOKING the 180 stairs, which are rocky and uneven and some without railing etc. this location is only for FIT people and that fact is HIDDEN on the add for it.
Again non refundable booking that surprises you with the 180 steps up. It is a great place, but for fit people ONLY.

The setting was so peaceful. Great view of the water.
The bed was very low and not comfortable. The breakfast was pretty average. The room was cramped. The power point was very temperamental and not solidly in the wall. Was very pricey.

shared bathroom, quiet stay so was not an issue

My room was clean, bright and comfortable, with a private bathroom. It was very quiet and there was a wonderful view from the garden/terrace where a lovely breakfast was served by pleasant staff.
The many, many steps leading to the the hotel are a double edged sword. On one hand, you will find lovely, peaceful isolation. On the other hand, the hike is clearly not for everyone! I would highly recommend keeping luggage and anything you have to carry up those stairs to an absolute minimum. However, in my opinion, the climb is well worth the effort.

Great location that was very close to downtown. The view from this place was magnificent!
It was so close to downtown that throughout the night you could hear people in town cleaning, dealing with recycling and the refuse. It was pretty noisy. On top of that the exotic cars that were leaving and motorcycles, were quite loud.

Thomas the caretaker looked after us very well. Sitting on the terrace overlooking Portofino from on high, enjoying a glass of wine or two was brilliant. The room and spacious bathroom were excellent.
Obviously the 190 steps up to the accommodation are a bit of a killer but the view from the house is very rewarding and you soon forget the discomfort. Portofino itself is disgracefully expensive.

Once you arrive it's a very peaceful location with a nice view. It has all the basics you need for a short stay.
I regret not reading all the reviews about the stairs because they're not just a few steps. They are narrow, winding, mountainous steps. I paid the gardener €5 to help me bring it up but had to carry it back down myself in the morning. Definitely hurt my back because my luggage is quite big and heavy (from all the purchases I did through Italy). I'd say if you're an international tourist that's been travelling a while and have heavy luggage, this accommodation is not ideal. If you are a backpacker, go ahead, but it does feel like a mini hike. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to hold your luggage either, like some places do in cinque terre.
Otherwise, the room itself is quite small - especially my attached bathroom. There was a fan, but no air conditioning. Due to ventilation issues I did leave the door open while I slept, and they did have a small mosquito net to use. However, the net doesn't cover the whole bed. It will just be enough to put over your upper body. Not sure how it would work out for 2 people.

The view was amazing. We got a room facing the sea and it was beautiful, even if the sky was quite cloudy. I don't remember his name (sorry), but the housekeeper was amazing, super polite and kind and ready to help us if we needed something. We couldn't enjoy it, but the lodging has a little terrace with chairs and tables to spend time when weather is nice. It's high vantage point is truly something to take into account when booking this place.
The only thing that we didn't like, was the huge and steep stairs you have to take to get to the building (mind it if you plan to carry a suitcase). But it is advertised and you know it when you book the place so...from me it's mostly lazyness. It's not really that bad while your legs are okay. A little bit of renovation to the rooms and a better breakfast would be appreciated. That doesn't cloud the overall experience tho.

View, location and staff. Thomas is a great, friendly and helpful host.
The breakfast unfortunately lost its quality compared to 3 years ago. I would prefer to pay more but have a nice, fresh breakfast. most of the items were pre-packed (from a supermarket), only single-use plates, glasses etc. please bring back the nice fresh breakfast

Beautifullly cared for property with spectacular views over Portofino, set in a gorgeous garden. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
The 180 steps to reach the property are real! Steep, uneven and difficult. Not recommended if you have large luggage. The caretaker bravely helped but he is not a young man. External bathroom to the room was inconvenient and the water pressure in the shower was poor.

Thomas was fantastic, the views were incredible!

Great views. Comfortable.
We weren’t informed of the 180 steps climb to the room until our fee was non-refundable - felt a little “tricked” into it. (Steps are all well maintained and even, so we managed no problem, but still …). We also prepaid for what was promised as a “rich breakfast” which turned out to be all pre-packaged, cold food (except for the apple and coffee) - disappointing.

Amazing views. Thomas was really helpful and the views were stunning.
If you are not ready to climb up 180 steep stairs with luggage don’t do it but if you can manage it the views are amazing.

This stay was amazing. We had a room on the ground floor with our own bathroom. The steps up the hotel are a challenge. but well worth it. the view is wonderful. the breakfast was fine and the host made sure we didn't miss anything. We loved our stay

Steps to reach the house…. 500+
It’s been established to collect money the easy way. No maintenance, only a single staff member, windows where so dirty in the living room that you think there is heavy fog outside ;)

If you do not mind to climb the couple of hundred steps, you are rewarded with a spectacular view from the terrace over Portofino.
The housekeeper Thomas is a bit shy but very helpful and attentive.
Although it has charm, The house and room is a bit outlived and needs renovating.
Breakfast is served on the splendid terrace but consists of everything sealed in plastic with plastic cups and plates. Not a very ecological mindset.

Tom made us very welcome and couldn’t do enough to help.
The view is amazing; so worth the climb up the 170 steps!!
But be warned: the car park is very expensive and the only place to park in Portofino!!!
Nothing - all lovely
