Great location - easy to travel to other sites - short walk to shops
No remote control in room and it took more than 90mins for an alternate to arrive

Because we were travelling independently we had to book everything ourselves, we had a lot of contact with the hotel prior to our visit and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Loads of informatIon, answered a million questions and helped us book some really fantastic activities. Everything worked like clockwork we had an amazing trip.
Nothing negative to say.

Desert Gardens is part of the Ayers Rock Resort and is easy walking distance to the town centre, and the other hotels and has a bus that continuously travels to each hotel, town centre, caravan park etc. The room was large and we had a view of Uluru and the sunrise was spectacular to watch. We ate at the cheaper of the 2 restaurants and it had great gluten free options and was very tasty
Everything is expensive but considering they need to import everything it is not surprising. The beds were a bit too soft for us as we like to sleep on very firm beds. The hotel is looking a bit tired but otherwise it is clean and comfortable

I liked the location of the hotel. Breakfast was good; have seen a wider variety of food in other hotels though.
The condition of the rooms was okay, but not outstanding for a hotel at this rate level.

Everything was great about the accommodation. We were so busy with Sightseeing-Tours that the room was not so important for us.
It is a spacious room with very comfy beds and a Sunny balcony. Easy organized pick ups for all the tours.
I recommend „Uluru Lockout“ (see Google maps) for everyone who wants to enjoy an Uluru sunrise alone for himself. 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Field of lights I would recommend visiting alone and not with a tour. Gives you more time to enjoy the art installation.
We loved everything about our stay in Ayers Rock! What a magical place.
Desert Gardens is overpriced. 300-320€/ night is way too much for what it is. It doesn’t even include breakfast. The bathroom looks like a normal 80-100€ hotel etc.
It is just a systemic rip-off because of the whole circumstances in Ayers Rock. However before coming to Ayers Rock everyone is aware of that… so 8 points instead of 10. Yet you can’t go wrong with this hotel!
Maybe a cheaper option would be Emu Appartements from the same company as I understood.

Our room was clean and spacious. The buffet dinner at Ilkari at the adjacent Sails in the Desert was divine.
The accommodation is overpriced compared to similar rooms anywhere else we have stayed, but the Voyages Group have the monopoly at Yulara so these prices are expected.

Location and the view from the room. We were lucky to have the view on uluru (but only a few rooms have)
Cold swimming pool… too cold to go inside
Food and restaurants are quite expensive

Good breakfast
Good facilities and good bedroom view
Very clean and comfortable
Reception staff are not very helpful and not very available

the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The sheets were a bit noisy with movement.
Big rooms nice to place luggage on floors.
The Mangata dining experience was excellent from breakfast to lunches to dinners.
The location was close to everything.
The worst dining experience we had was in Geckos Cafe. Anything we all ordered was horrible.
We skipped this one. The other dining facilities offered food that at least was ok but more healthy options are needed on offer. But the best was Mangata but gets expensive to eat 3 meals a day from here too.
We wanted to experience the Indigenous culture classes or tours however we noticed they were only on once a day and at that time we were out and about touring the area. It would have been nice to come back and have more of these and other activities in the evenings either just before dinner time between 3-5 pm or after dining hours.

that it was a family trip and me and husband couldn’t travel as my husband was’nt granted visa by Australian government so they refused to give us return for one room

Large size rooms. Very clean except for the balcony and toilet bowl needs a very good scrub
We had room 359. This was way back in resort and on 2nd floor, no elevator and 300 metre walk every time from our room to carpark. There was no parking outside your room, only parking outside front near reception. WiFi was advertised as available and free in public places. WiFi didn't work in our room, by public places..they mean at Town Centre. There was also no exhaust fan in bathroom. No plates, knife's or forks in room. Air-conditioning, even when you turned it off, cold air still coming through the vent. We paid $500 per night and would expect better facilities. We have stayed in much better places for a lot less

Where do I start!
The location, the building and the grounds around it,were exceptional.
The staff from the moment we arrived made you feel very welcomed, then walking to our room, the ground staff, housekeeping, all greeted you with a smile and hello and 'have a good day'
The room and the bed...amazing
Everything you needed was in walking distance, with free demonstrations within hotel surrounds.
I can not recommend this hotel more, loved it.
That we not there for a few more days

Beautiful property and well run facilities. Nice restaurants too.
toilet stopped working one evening but they fixed it in about 90 minutes.

Did not include breakfast. Location was near the Art Gallery and Town Square where there were restaurants and stores. Tracy, the receptionist was very helpful to get me on the sunset tour on short notice!
None.

amazing big rooms, full amenities, king size beds, very rich program
check-out is 10:00….seriously? as the site sell also sun-rise tours, this timing becomes not realistic.

Location, atmosphere.
Excavator was working just next to our balcony.

Lo cation
The price was outrageous, charging $2000 for 3 nights
There were 2 mice in our room, which came out at night and ran around the room. I informed staff of this on day 2 and they were still there day 3.
Resturant prices were also ridiculously expensive
7.0
When I complained about the work site outside my room, they acted appropriately thanks to Deepak, and I was satisfied. Once you get over the high cost, it’s good enough.
Besides the high cost, my room was a long way from reception. They need golf carts.

Location. Friendly helpful staff restaurant food and service
Balcony area was very tired, seemed neglected and was poorly presented
9.0
The highlight of the hotel were the staff, especially the restaurant staff. We kept going back as they were all super accomodating, friendly and just made you feel welcome. They were short staffed and under a lot of pressure but all of them kept smiling, were calm and just pleasant to deal with.
Although the resort is in a great but also remote location, it is a bit old and in need of some general maintenance. It's expensive to stay per night (far more than a five star hotel in the centre of the Melbourne CBD) so you would expect all facilities to be what you pay for. There was also landscaping right outside our room, which was a little noisey during the day.
8.0
location. rooms. but especially the staff. they were wonderful
just that we were facing the back where works were being done and trucks and equip stored but it’s got to go somewhere right! it wasn’t a problem.

close to the lookouts
reception forgot to give me the drinks voucher and forgot to give information re. breakfast
7.0
comfy beds, great view of the rock from our room, friendly staff
pool area was not particularly inviting it could be a lot nicer for a resort. rooms were cleaner at around 3pm each day when we had already arrived back from being out which is not ideal, breakfast price and room price was insanely expensive.
10.0
Everything was great, but the staff were absolutely incredible! We had a mix up with the pick up location for a tour and the staff at reception went totally above and beyond to help us sort it out. Also all the staff who ran the tours and talks were so knowledgeable and friendly. They all really made it a wonderful trip!
