No heating. No staff to talk to. No clean bedsheets. I booked for a double bed room but got a bunk

Honestly, the staff member who also ran the shop downstairs... always a top bloke when I visit! And meeting others in the dorms from all over the world!

Some of the people who were staying at the hostel... it was an honest mistake as the staff member gave me the front door and room code and said "its the bed that is made up" and I didnt want to turn the lights on at 2am and waker everyone and got in someone elses bed!... I had someone come back from a night-shift at 5 am demanded I show him my booking on my phone, my room and hotel codes and when I did, he kept threatening me telling me to leave the room and then the hotel... he was drunk and aggressive and wasnt from the u.k and kept telling me "I'm the king of this hotel and i say who stays here and that I'm (he) honestly racist and I don't like English people" and I kept telling him "you're foreign, and I'm foreign we're both men of colour and I didnt understand what the problem was", then the police were called... but didn't show up! Got turfed out and walked the streets for a few hours... and returned the next day and got my room changed. This time I'm with a guy who's drunk smoking in the kitchen and passed out so had to wake him and help him into bed! The next day I meet a really nice guy who heard about the whole thing and showed me and proceeded to say "he wouldn't mess with me, look at this massive blade I keep under the pillow!!! 😳 Thank God he was on my side! 😂 Look, I've been here before and never had a problem... but if you have to, book a room with less beds/people as some characters here are SERIOUSLY shady! I'd prefer to spend a bit more next time and stay alive then witness what I did this time around!!! And I'm not not saying it was the "King of the hotel" but I got jumped on the second day and police were useless to help! And as there is no staff overnight, a drunk guy smoking in a carpeted room, passing out might mean if I WAS asleep and didn't hear him fall and groan...

Nothing at all I thkugbt was a refue pwlce fr the homeless. Felt so uneasy had to take ebeyhting to my car both days for security and drive it around

The beds was dirty the mattresses were about 50 years old when sat on one fell thiugb to the duven underneath. Sheets were absolutly disgusting smelly rooms toilets was never cleaned people smoking in there.. breakfast items were non existent as whom ever was staying had absiluly tanked.itall doors had to be locked fro. Inside ans held close day the bed side table for saftey. Showers hadn't been cleaned so went to the gym for a shower so I didn't need to use the one in the hostel At night I was knocked on the door asking for weed?

The surrounding area has many local "big names" shops,such as Morrisons and Wilko, as well as many small convenient stores. The bed was quite comfy, and there were available some kitchen facilities for use.

There was no receptionist available,at all.The check-in is happening on the local convenient shop below the hostel, with a guy working there confirming there is no receptionist available at the property.The lounge are it is quite small, no available sinks except in the bathroom, while the room was looking particularly opposite the street and could be heard any noise from outside.

Where, How, does one eat breakfast when one was not let in in the first place or phone calls or even msgs not answered back? How do you keep on tbe list such a facility which pays no revatmrd to the safety of its clients?

The hostel was closed when we arrived in the night. We had to start looking for a new place in the middle of the night! We called the number and an answering machine said we should leave a message, we did and a text message was sent to us which said CLOSED.

The fact that they left us hanging! If the place no longer works, they should remove it from internet so other people don't book it and suffer what we suffered!

Nothing except for the neatnes of the receiption and hallways, because I couldn't stayed, I had to look for another better options and paid. So the money paid here was wasted.

The description in the online advert was deceptive. I was expecting a 3 people shared room, but I was surprised to found out that I will be sharing room with 8 others... imaging a small room with 9 occupants... 3 bunk beds with 3 layers. Also, my checked in time was 12:30, I got there around 12:10 I was told the room won't be available till 2pm, I told them where do they expect me to stay till 2pm, the said I could hang around or go to the nearby library. I've been calling them when approaching Newcatles to inform them of my itinerary, but no one answered the calls.... so bad and unprofessional.

can’t complain at 7.00 a night B and B, but we didn’t stay the second night and didn’t touch the breakfast…. area very run down
