Such an awesome time in a great place perfectly located. Can’t get sick of the views!!

Location was excellent - near beach, bus, restaurants, shops - everything right there. Breakfast was very good. The family who run the facility are so nice and welcoming! They were so helpful in many ways, including when our taxi cancelled on us. They really made our stay so enjoyable!

Aside from the astounding view of Positano, the decoration of the lobby had a certain Italian charm with its ceramic figurines, plants and roses. The room was simple yet elegant. The hotel is within easy walking distance from the bus to Positano and Amalfi.

The music played over dinner was a bit outdated, and too American.

Superb

Excellent hotel! The location is perfect, with amazing views of the sea and coast. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room was clean and spacious. We had a large balcony with a hot tub, which was absolutely worth the extra price. Praiano in general is beautiful, and much more relaxed than neighbouring Positano.

Sometimes heard people in adjoining rooms and the restaurant above (though it was always quiet at night). Also, not a fault of the hotel, but getting to/from Praiano definitely requires some pre-planning.

The staff are amazing and they will make your stay very enjoyable.

the staff and their service, you feel that they actually care about you and they all are there for any kind of help even if it is not related to their hotel. They helped us arrange our transportation and they upgraded us to a room with a view, they replaced my wife’s plate because she didn’t like the option she choose, they are genuinely so kind my wife and I absolutely loved everything and we will definitely come back again

to be honest, nothing!!! our 2 days stay was such a short time and we wanted to stay more but we had other plans arranged.

Paradise without the crowds. True Italian experience.

Location to a bus stop, stunning views with best cocktails and caprese salads in Italy. Helpful staff and steep walk to the beach which is worth it. Overall a wonderful experience and memory.

Superb

Last month we stayed for 4 nights in Smeraldo and we both really enjoyed! Indeed a great place for a couple! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We got lots of tips from Rafaello, which is not in the Internet, that was super cool! I could feel that we are staying in a family hotel running by people who love what they are doing. Everything was very good! The room was always super clean, quite big and bright, with a big balcony, having an amazing sea and coast view of Positano and Capri. Jacuzzi on a balcony was a nice addition too :) Absolutely recommend to everyone and we are definitely considering to come back!

Horrible service ruining our honeymoon, need to check out a day earlier

First of all, some good things about the hotel: clean rooms, the younger staff members are super nice and helpful (helped us with arranging laundry , lent us an umbrella, lent us an iron)- they’ve even upgraded our room to one with balcony. But all these nice experience can be easily ruined by just one very bad encounter - especially when you are on your honeymoon and suppose to have the best experience in your life.

The second morning after our arrival, we came down for breakfast - that’s the First time ever has I been treated like a criminal that’s committed some sort of cardinal sin just because I sat down at the “wrong table” at a hotel breakfast. There were no staff members around when I arrived, no other guests either, but lots of uncleared tables - therefore I assumed it’s a buffet breakfast (the food offered also served in a buffet style at a corner), and picked one of the few clean / set up tables to sit down. The table I picked was set up for 4 people (we are a party of 2 only), so I wanted to help the staff members (since there’s no one around at the time ) by moving the other two sets of table mats etc to a nearby clean table. And that’s when two men, seemingly managers of the hotel, started shouting at me from afar with this dismal look on their faces as if I’ve killed a cat :”WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??? Why are you touching the table I’ve set???” “WHY ARE YOU MOVING THINGS FROM THE TABLE??” “THIS TABLE IS NOT FOR YOU!!! “ he said with his hands waving in the air, eyes wide open. I was in shock for a minute as they repeated those words with a scary expression. I was a woman by myself, my husband dealing with laundry at the reception, and I was shocked and scared. The worst part was those two staff members were complaining to each other about me, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME in italian, which I cannot understand. This is so hostile. They could have told me nicely, once, that they’ve set up a diff table for me somewhere else, without being angry or upset. But no, they kept repeating those few phrases, hands waving in the air, looking aggressive and scary as if I’ve done something crazy. After I challenged their attitude, they start complain about me being angry, which was ridiculous.

A beautiful family hotel, where the family members are doing all of the work, all of them are very very kind, helpfull and you feel like you're at home. The hotel has an extraordinary view, from the terrase, and also from the room balcony. It's very clean and decorated so tastefully. We enjoyed it very much and hopefully we come again soon.

absolutely stunning view, hotel room was spacious with nice balcony and view to the sea. you can access the beach but if you go busy times maybe better to book the chairs and umbrellas advance.

Most incredible stay

It was an amazing stay!! The view from the balcony is great. You can see Positano very clearly. The breakfast was amazing, every single morning. Our host was just the most friendly man ever. The hotel is in front of a busstop, where you can take busses to Positano (15 min) and Amalfi (30min). The room was very clean. The balcony was truly amazing. I truly loved everything here.

True gem on the Amalfi coast

Everything! Unbeatable views of the Positano in the distance, confortable bed, friendly and welcoming staff, delicious italian breakfast on the terrace! 💙 Staff also took care of parking our car safely for an extra fee which is such a huge value if staying here in Amalfi coast as parking is a bit tricky otherwise. Just want to say a huge thank you to the hotel Smeraldo team for our lovely overnight stay here during our honeymoon!

The views from the room and the restaurants terrace are just breathtaking ! We stayed in different places before and This hotel tops them all - the balcony in each room is a big size terrace on the sea !!! We don’t want to leave this place ! The breakfast is fabulous and the owner so kind and attentive ! The reception buy as well so helpful and all ways happy to help ! In centre of praiano you get the best view for Positano and the sea ! We will most likely come back/ and to be honest for the views and service they offer they are cheap !!!
